If you are looking for a unique, comfortable, wonderful place to visit, Cloud 9 is your place. The farm is beautiful — located just outside of Asheville. The house you can rent is fully appointed with anything you could ever need. Everything is very comfortable and fully accessible to everyone. You can feed the chickens; feed the cattle; hike; bike; paddle boat; have a cookout; watch wild turkeys; explore the managed forest; pick berries and other garden delights; eat the freshly laid eggs and enjoy the honey of the farm’s hives. In both the intimate cabin and the big house, there are hot tubs on the decks to enjoy the sunsets and bounty of stars. Not to be outdone are the sunrises.
We stayed for almost a month while relocating to the area, and found it convenient to area attractions/​dining, but far enough out to feel tranquil. WIFi and a full satellite tv lineup keeps you connected and entertained when the turkeys and stars are hidden. Janet, the proprietor, couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful and she will guide you to local events.
Now that we are settled, we will still use Cloud 9 for large gatherings. They have amazing grounds for weddings, reunions and special occasions. The house is large enough to accommodate a big gathering, and they can store and keep all the dishes and tables for such events. That’s a lot easier than keeping and storing special serving trays for once a year or so!
There is also the small Hideaway cabin that is better for small groups and couples. It has a deck, hot tub and fireplace as well. It looks like how you want a cabin in the woods to be.
Great place to check out for a different kind of vacation or get away. Very special and magical.
