We used them for a small move– Scheduling was easy,. I received a confirming email and the written quote I receiv d a confirmation call a few days in advance and was told our move would be a second stop and that the driver would call about a half hour ahead of time. Garret called at 1:30 and was at my house a half hour later. He and Blake were hard working and pleasant and finished the move quickly I would definitely recommend two men and a truck

Lets face it, moving stinks! The packing, boxes and bubble wrap is just the beginning; not even counting the stress of physically moving. When my Mom told me she was moving, I immediately went to Asheville to be there with her as I didn’t want her alone with movers. In this lifetime, I have moved enough to be considered a gypsy. The worst part of the move is always the movers and little did I know I was about to be proved wrong. When Jeremy and Jeff arrived they introduced themselves. They were professional, used our first names when talking to us and offered to wrap anything we requested. The guys walked the apartment and made a plan. I was immediately impressed. Typically, we have to encourage the pace of the movers and make a game plan for heavier items and boxes. Instead, my Mom and I sat back and watched them go to work. Every piece of furniture was wrapped carefully and treated like it was their own. I could not get over how careful they were, how well they worked together in giving lifting directions in carrying out heavy items and even the way they were treating my Mom and I. If we attempted to lift anything or help them we were told to not help, instead we were encouraged to relax and to let them move the items. For the first time in ten years, I was relieved. We had finally found movers that understood how to treat my Moms furniture and more importantly, they actually convinced her not to help or try to lift anything-that feat is HUGE! What was even more impressive was when Jeremy called in for another guy to help, not only did 1 guy show up but a team of 2 others arrived as well! Thankfully, we were only charged for 1 more, but the extra hour of help saved us money and for that we are very grateful! Our extra guy, James, immediately picked up on the flow of the move. He was wrapping up the couch and side chairs in plastic wrap and carrying down heavy boxes without a complaint. As the day of the move progressed, the weather shifted. What started off as a partly cloudy day turned in to blizzard like conditions with 4″ of snow falling periodically during the move. Did the guys complain? Did the guys slow down? Not at all! We had Three Men and a Truck moving machines and they were just as fast as before only with a bigger smile on their faces. Outstanding! By the time the guys were moving stuff off of the truck at the new place, I felt like they were more than movers, they were our friends. We were all laughing and making jokes, which was a perfect end for such a busy day of moving. Not only did they take the items off the truck but they helped place the furniture where my Mom wanted it, unwrapped everything and even set up her bed. I cannot thank Jeremy, Jeff and James enough for their professionalism, time management skills, quick wit and compassion. Not once did I worry that my Mom was being taken advantage of or that any of her furniture would arrive broken. It is refreshing to see there are still movers out there that take their job so seriously.

Very disappointed this time with Two Men and a Truck in Asheville. I used them seven years ago and extremely pleased with all aspects of the move. I received a phone estimate which was a big mistake. The move took 10 hours when it was estimated to take 8. Throughout the move one mover had to continually instruct the other on the safest and most efficient way to handle a large piece of furniture. The more experienced mover said the other guy was new and that was why it was taking longer. I had a second day scheduled to move a home gym. They were very good, but when they noticed my invoice from the previous day they were very surprised that the amount of furniture I had required 10 hours. It was suggested that I contact Patrick, which I did. I heard every reason why the move took the time it did and indicated the mover in question had worked for the company for one year. Patrick said he would look into the matter further and give a call back. I never heard from him. It has been over two weeks. I feel like I paid for the cost to train a relatively new employee. I will definitely shop around the next time. For what it’s worth no furniture was damaged and the people doing the move were very pleasant.
