A great restaurant in an old house in a small village. Food and service are always excellent.

Had lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. My first visit to the pub was about 2 months ago with my husband for lunch and we enjoyed the food so much that I had to bring my mom back. We are in manassas but it is definitely worth the hour drive. The food is spectacular. Both visits I’ve had the veggie burger, which is a local find from Charlottesville. It’s incredibly tasty. My mom had the Local, a special from today. It is a cold meatloaf sandwich which sounded so cool and homey that she just had to try it. It definitely did not disappoint. She loved it… from the homemade meatloaf, sun-​dried tomato spread and homemade chips. We also split a piece of German chocolate cake which was the best I’ve ever had, and I’m a big chocolate fan.
The bar was decorated for Halloween which our waitress mentioned was normal and done on a yearly basis. It looked awesome and gave a great vibe. I don’t remember our server’s name but she was incredibly friendly and offered suggestions for food and beer. She also seemed to do a great job of handling the bar and tables for the bar area. Given the location it seemed pretty busy. Our first visit we sat outside and this visit was in the bar, both great experiences.
Highly recommend for lunch and hope to return for dinner and drinks soon.

Had a really nice lunch with my wife, the bangers and mash was awesome, love the atmosphere, the staff are very helpful and professional, would have given 5 stars but for the extended wait time for the appetizer 15 – 20 mins+
will definitely be back

I had a staff meeting lunch here this past week. We were immediately sat in the dining area which was not crowded at all. Our service was prompt and attentive with ample refills of drinks.
I ordered the pesto and mozzarella burger with seasoned fries. It was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had. It was affordable too!
I have also been to trivia here which they hold on Thursday nights from 7 – 9:30 or so. It was ok. They do not have an announcer like most trivia nights I’ve been to. They simply hand out a sheet of fill in the blank and matching type questions for your team to fill out over the two or so hours allotted. They then collect up the sheets and trade between groups to be graded individually. They then announce the order of contestants. The time I went there were state capital matching questions, lots of presidential history questions and matching of cartoon characters and their pets. They had a decent appetizer menu available and a moderate drink selection which was well priced for the evening.
I definitely would return here for lunch or dinner again but I would think twice about going back for trivia night.

Griffin does a fantastic Halloween lunch. Staff is outstanding today. Costumes a awesome. If you stop in say hi to the banana and fairy. Thanks for the great service! Tigger.
