One of the most«un-Irish-looking» Irish pubs I’ve seen yet. It’s an okay dive bar with inexpensive drink specials and decent(not great) bar food, but in no way do I feel this is an Irish pub. I know, I know, it’s marketed as an Irish bar, but honestly, it just does not actually give off that vibe to me. Sorry, it just does not strike me as an authentic Irish pub. Well, for the ambiance– it’s not dirty per se, but it’s dark, a little dank and the interior could use a bit of a face lift. It’s a tad dated, but it’s clean, and staff is pleasant and friendly enough. As for the drinks and food– it’s strictly middle of the road. They have a nice enough selection of beers on tap, with all the brands you’d expect, but the cocktails are a mixed bag. Whisky drinks are where it’s at and where the bartenders excel. On the other hand, vodka-based cocktails are just not good. I’d just stick to the whisky-based drinks and call it a day. Everything else is fine and pretty consistent. The food is cheap and satiates the appetite while downing a few beers, but I wouldn’t purposely stop in here just for lunch, unless I was drinking as well. It’s basically pub food that serves its purpose– to keep the customer satisfied and the belly full while polishing off a couple pints.

Who doesn’t love a dive bar?! All regulars, a band, fabulous waitresses, and good food. all of the makings for a good night. I got a Sam Adams and a patty melt. Both hit the spot in all the right ways. A co-worker kept buying non-stop Johnny Vegas shots. oh boy! 5 hours later the place seemed even better than when I first got there. Thanks Johnny!

Timothy’s used to be a reliable place for take-out fish and chips. Went back after several months, and it was terrible. Limp fries and soggy batter over slivers of Walleye. Save your money.

Timothy’s is my spot of choice when I’m back in Flint. My friends and I have frequented it for years, and there’s no place I’d rather go. Wed., Thurs, and Fri. night is karaōke with Brooke… must see entertainment! We’ll be in the front waiting for you. :-)
