Ace Hardware Florence

I shop there fairly often. They are higher priced than the big box stores but make up for it in customer service.

I love Ace Hardware. Everyone is always so happy to help and they are all so knowledgable about the products they offer. The onsite post office is super convenient too.

I can’t say enough about the serivce I just received today. The product I was looking for was not an instore item, but «Wally» looked up what I needed and was a great help.
He had great suggestions and even walked me to the additional products I might need for the job I was doing.
The great service didn’t stop there, he then walked me to the cashier to end my great experience.
I agree with the others about the employees looking like detectives as they were wearing their head pieces.
We need to keep the small business and their great customer service.

I only spent $.69 in the store but I got five star service! Sean even helped me with my project. Great place to shop! The prices may not beat the big box stores but the service does by far!

Plumbing Emergency! This is a place where all the help look like they are in the secret service with their cool headsets.
We walked in and they quickly dispatched me to my plumbing needs. Thank you ACE Hardware. While in line, I saw many things that could drive my bill up. My favorite was their assortment of unique lighters. I don’t smoke but if I did — I would buy the baseball bat lighter or the oversize BIC (Longer than a 12oz Can)…
Anyway — I may go there for stocking stuffers :-)
Overall — I will go back when I am in town and have an emergency!

I would say this place is pricy, but they had a 20% off bag sale when I was there. I was able to find everything I was looking for with some help from one of the sales associates. This store stocks a lot of different items, and even has a post office in it. This is an independently owned franchise, so if you want to shop local it’s good for that. It can be quicker than driving all the way into the other stores (depending where you live). For these conveniences, you should expect to pay more than at the other big hardware stores in Florence.
The staff is friendly here, there was no line at the register, and since it was the weekend, they had fresh popped popcorn too!

Ace, True Value, Coast to Coast, these used to be THE hardware store locations, then came the big box Home Depot and Lowes stores.
The Ace store in Florence, like other ones in the area, is of a less intimidating size than their «pack a lunch, you are going to be here for a while» competition and service is easy to find, and knowledgeable. you just have to consider that they are not going to have every item under the sun and you MAY pay marginally more, but some items are also less expensive.
The secret that this store holds is a US Post Office location in the back of the store. In the days leading up to Christmas, as the cards were ready to go into the mail, waiting only for holiday stamps, I went to the main post office in Florence, saw at least 20 people standing in line for the USPS employees behind the counter and thought, no way. I stopped at a nearby grocery store service counter and while they had stamps, they were not the holiday stamps we wanted, then I thought of the Ace. A short drive and a short line netted me the stamps we were looking for. I have also used this location for mailing packages. This little bonus makes this store a true hidden gem.
