Excellent food and service. Non touristy, excellent service, great view of the harbor. Well priced for this level of quality.

Staying at the Best Wesrern, went to the Bay View Bistro and the food was Great. I had Halibut and my wife had the Salmon. Great choices. Had the Berry cobbler for Desert! Excellent choice! Service was great also.

Loved the view. food was good, but the service is very rushed. We were just starting the appetizer when out came our dinner. Husband’s salmon was wonderful, my steak was perfectly cooked. Afterwards the hotel staff gave us the history of the piano that sits in the front… and chatted with us for some time. Very personable. If the waitress were better trained, I would have give five stars… but it seemed everything we asked was met with a «no» and she didn’t seem to understand the food questions we asked, and she rushed us through our meal. She didn’t provide any utensils with the appetizer and we had to ask for plates. These are small things that are the reason you pay for fine dining. In fact, when we asked for some type of serving implement for the appetizer she indicated we had forks and knives. When we asked if we could put two tables together near the window she said she’d put two further back, and we could still see out. Now the restaurant had only two other tables filled… I have no idea why we couldn’t sit where we preferred. We will definitely be back though. The rest of the staff and the food were wonderful.

Stopped at Best Western on our way down the coast. What an amazing secret inside. the Bayview Bistro was dynamite! We came in around 8pm on a Thursday night with a 19 month old. The service was quick, excellent, and the food was amazing! After two bad cioppino experience further north along the coast, this place nailed it! Also had a delicious starter salad and even good hot tea! Thanks for accommodating our small family from Colorado! Two thumbs up!

We ate there and 4 of us had the Halibut fish & chips, one had the bread bowl clam chowder, and one had chicken cordon blue. The food was good. The service and view were excellent. The fact they brought out cans of pop seemed weird.

Epic fish and chips. I am staying at the hotel and dined here the first night because it was close. I was BLOWN away by the food. My family of four ordered different meals and all were AWESOME. I can’t say enough about the food here. It is all amazing. The service we had was good and I think our server was Clint. There is another older gentleman hovering around and he seems a bit tense. This isn’t an issue but is certainly something you will notice. The kids menu, not the choices but what actually arrives to be eaten, is soooo good. Whoever is cooking deserves a raise. I really can’t say enough!!!

Excellent view of the river from the restaurant. The salmon burger if the best I’ve ever had and the lobster risotto is excellent. The prices aren’t bad either, and the service is great.

We were plesantly surprised at the food quality at the Bay View Bistro at the Best Western Pier Point in Florence, Oregon. They were slammed Sunday night, July 12. We ordered the Cioppino and Ceasar salad to take back to the room. Maybe a half hour later we had the most delicious Cioppino ever. It had a fresh light tomato white wine sauce with tons of mussel, sweet prawns, clams, crab and cod. There was enough for both of us. Last night we had the beef tender medallions. They must of been filet migon as the meat was so tender. It had a flavor that makes me think the meat was organic grass feed. The green peppercorn sauce was rich and perfect! My husband loved his flat iron steak with blue cheese butter and red wine demi glacé. They have a salmon omlet, vegetatian, everything made to order breakfast buffett. This may be a new menu per the 6÷25÷14 review as the item they mentioned were not on the menu. We are frequent visitors to Florence and have tryed just about every place in town. This is convenient since we have our Jack Russel with us.

My wife and I decided to try Bay View Bistro for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and up to date on the menu and the wine list. The food was great and very well prepared. The view from the dining room is spectacular. I think most people will find Bay View Bistro to be a nice surprise.

This establishment needs help, only one server taking orders, serving tables, bussing the tables, seating customers, being the bartender. Quality of food was not good the wife’s halibut fish n chips were terrible close to being burnt on the outside but so much batter was very soggy on the inside I ordered the 12oz ribeye what a big disappointment $ 28.00 for a steak that was overcooked, over salted and about ¼ thick a little chewy at that. The drinks were very weak and over iced. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip the crustini was down right hard almost like it could have been left over from the day before. Over all our food experience was not enjoyed at all. If ever I get into a conversation with someone about bad experiences with restaurants this one will be discussed. 3÷23÷15

You know when you watch those shows about horrible restaurants that some TV Chef needs to come and rescue? This place is beyond saving from a TV show. Food was terrible after waiting 3 hours. Service was terrible… Stay far away

We came here bcs we were staying in the hotel. The waitress was awesome and that’s the only reason I’m giving two stars. We ordered potato pancakes which were moderate temperature and flavorless. We were brought a cup of clam chowder that we didn’t order but it was cold and tasted off. The Mac n cheese for my daughter was hot and fresh and not too bad for a kids menu. The burger we ordered was supposed to be medium well and it was charcoal black. Had to take it to the room bcs the kids were acting up and it was not even edible. My fish n chips were greasy and soggy. So much so that the fries were covered in grease as well. The fries were cold and not fresh. We were overall very disappointed. We won’t be back :(

We tried this place as we were staying in the hotel and didn’t want to leave to eat. I ordered the crab cake appetizer. The crab was under seasoned and fishy. Neither of us ate them after a few bites. My companion wanted the Korean ribs but was told they didn’t have them he declined to order anything else as he found nothing else that interested him. The waitress offered nothing as a substitute or recommendation. I had the chicken Cobb salad, again highly under seasoned and pretty basic. The grilled chicken was placed steaming hot onto the cold greens, yuck. My friend had a coke which was so pale it could be called tea. We sent it back. The menu is small, which would be fine if the food were excellent. It’s not. This place needs some work. They offer no dessert menu.

We were very surprised to find that this was a good meal. Being inside a hotel and inside a Best Western… we had concerns. BUT, whoa! We were impressed with the dinner options and the quality of the food. We had the lamb shanks, tortellini, and pesto pasta. Kids had the fish and chips and chicken tenders. Everything was great! Service was good and our waitress was always there. Very happy with our dinner experience. We would recommend highly!

Let me just say, I loved this restaurant. I loved the menu, loved the ambiance, and I loved our server, Megan. The only reason I didn’t give this review 4 stars is because I was appalled at the serious ageism treatment I received at the hands of the older female server who was wearing a white shirt and had blonde hair. We came into the restaurant and it required us to wait to be seated. Megan(the great server) acknowledged us right away and was in the middle of serving a 12 person table, so we were happy to wait. The other server(who’s name I never had occasion to know, that’s how much attention she paid us), gave another table their silverware, and then came back, chatted it up, and TOOK their order, all before even looking in our direction. Then she spoke to another table, and then picked up a menu and tossed them in our general direction before inviting us to seat ourselves. It would have been more professional for her to acknowledge us in any way, shape, or form, but I guess we looked to0 young and therefore weren’t worth her time. The funny thing is, I’m positive I spent more on my dinner than the three tables she paid all of her attention to. I believe she gave me and my companion the once over when we walked in, deemed us too young to merit good service from her, and treated us that way for the rest of the evening. Megan, you’re doing a great job, and I’m sure you need to keep that lady around for the older clientele, but she made what would have been a great experience, more of a tolerable one.
