Cook Out

I tried eating here once. My burger was dried up and to small for the bun. Overpriced for what you get. Go to Hardee’s instead.

I gave the staff the benefit of the doubt over 10 times and have accepted that while the food is alright the staff will never be friendly. This is obviously a management problem. Thankfully I seldom go there and that habit won’t change any time soon. Sunday’s they treat you like a burden all day and the drive thru staff treats you like an inconvenience if they have to wait longer than 2 seconds to hand you your food. I tried to place my debit card back in my wallet and the girl was in too much of a hurry to wait for me for a few seconds. Their loss.

Only had a hot dog and a shake — shake was more like a blizzard — could not drink through a straw — not complaining, the chocolate cherry was an awesome dessert

Cheap and bad Service

I love this place! The best homemade hamburgers I’ve ever had! I love the cheese, grilled onions, and bacon on mine!

Cheap fast food. They’re open late and you can certainly get a big bang for your buck here. This is obviously a far cry from health food seeing as you can get quesadillas and chicken nuggets as side dishes, but if you’re looking for classic fast food, this place is much better than ol’ golden arches.
The burgers taste like what you’d grill at home. They’ve got that lovely grilled over charcoal taste to them. You know what I mean. They also have an obscene number of milk shake flavors, including a few seasonal ones that change throughout the year. My favorite is the peanut butter fudge but I admittedly have a weakness for reese cups.

This Cook Out is not as good as it was when they first opened. The burgers are tasteless and the hush puppies are over cooked. It seems like many food places follow the trend of being awesome at first then turning awful. Two stars b/​c it’s super cheap and inside is somewhat clean. I’m sure the late night hours draw in crowds since their only fast food competition late at night is McDonalds.

Florence has a good thing going with Cook out. It’s your perfect late night pig out spot. I don’t think they close until 3 or 4am. Food is so cheap! You can get a combo with a main entrée, a side and a large sweet tea or soda for around $ 5. Cheeseburgers, chicken burgers with corn dogs slaw, quesadilla, fries, your pick. I stick with their burgers. It tastes like the smokey goodness grilled in the warmth of a summer evening in July. Yup it tastes like freedom folks.
This is the spot if you like shakes. There’s a menu dedicated to shakes with over 50 varieties. I’m a total lightweight and I start bouncing off the walls so I stay away from the shake menu. I know they use a whole cheesecake for their cheesecake flavored milkshakes so it’s not for the faint of heart.
Parking is a bit awkward because the lot is small and busy. I’ve parked my car in ways that I’m not proud of in this lot I’ll admit it but I’m Asian so I think that makes it okay. The dining area is very woodsy with different sized tables. There are wide tables and benches making it ideal for a slightly larger group to eat together as well. All in all cookout is the place to get convenient and satisfying fast food.

Great food! Great price! However, the milkshakes are what keep me and my kids visiting on the frequent. So happy we have one on Florence. I would recommend this place to everyone who is tired of the other burger joints in town.

Good food for the price. Very clean. Great environment. Glad they’ve come to Florence.

I can best describe this place with one word «cheap».
Food was OK, milk shake was good and almost felt guilty paying so little for our dinner.
