Devil’s Elbow State Park is one of several on my list of State Parks in Oregon which is worth leaving your car. The park is located on the Oregon Coast Highway so it is hard to miss. One of the main attractions to the park is the beautiful house on the cliff and a lighthouse near the house. The whole shoreline has cliffs and trees. Also, there are three giant rocks near the lighthouse which makes the shoreline of this park unique. The beach area has many rocks and some logs, so you will have to be careful if you choose not to wear shoes. It’s a nice place to walk the shores during low tide. If you’re lucky, you might spot a grey whale during high tide. Due to the fact this park is located right on the Oregon Coast Highway, it was filled with many people when I was there. If you want to be connected to nature, that could be a bad thing.
