Game Swap

Video game stuff seems overpriced, and customer service is hit-​or-​miss, depending on the day. However, if you’re into collecting pokemon cards, this place is a goldmine. Do a little digging and you can find valuable cards in the .25 cent box. Holos are kept in a case and most are reasonably priced. I’ve filled in a lot of missing cards from the older sets thanks to this store.

This is the worst place ever. So this morning I call game swap in Florence Kentucky and ask them how much their Nintendo dustcovers are. The guy says they are $.25 for the black ones and $.50 for the Nintendo ones. I hang up and call back an hour later and ask him again if he was sure that was the price. He says yes he is 100% sure that is the price. So I pick up my daughter when I get off of work and drive an hour to the store to pick up the dustcovers. The manager tells me that he can’t sell them to me because they go for much more than that. I tell him that’s what I was told and he tells me that’s not his fault. He says he will sell them for $.50 for the black and a dollar for the Nintendo ones. After some arguing with him I got him to sell me at least the black ones for $.25. He then calls the owner and the owner tells him that he can’t sell the black ones for any less than a dollar and a Nintendo ones for two dollars. This is after we spent 20 minutes in the store sorting through them all and picking them out. I tell him to call the owner back and let me talk to him. The owner says the same thing, it’s not my fault you were told wrong. I said Sir I drove an hour here with my kids just to get these. He said I don’t care we can’t sell them for any less than a dollar. This is the most disgusting customer service I have ever been involved with. The manager also accused me of buying them to just resell them later. I will never shop at the four locations again. They are all owned by the same guy. After talking with many people in the gaming community they have told me that most agree and have had bad experiences with 1 or more of the 4 locations. I would advise never to go to this business unless you enjoy being belittled and lied to.
