Logan’s Roadhouse

Excellent service. I have the Logan’s steak with loaded potato and a Caesar salad. Steak was cooked perfect to my taste. The potato was delicious. My only thought was the Caesar salad had a little to much dressing. Cain and Falon was my server’s, and they were great!

I usually like Logan’s but on this occasion it wasn’t the best. First, restaurants listen up– number one pet peeve– I HATE HATE HATE when a waiter assumes what I want. Hate it! When you seat me DO NOT start off with «hey what beer can I start you off with, our Long Island iced teas are great!» Your job is to bring me what I want! You don’t know if I drink (I don’t) and if I did what business is it of yours to decide it for me?
So then instead of taking our order it’s «let me recommend the ribs» or «let me recommend the ribeye». Better idea– shut up and let me look at the menu.
Now I’m sure that maybe it’s Logan’s policy to push items on customers but this is such a turn off to me. Major turn off.
The steak ended up dry and kind of stale and a medium rare steak should not be dry. My wife said the ribs (recommended by the waiter) were unremarkable at best.
Maybe it was just our server, I don’t know, past experiences were better but if I get the same pushy rude service there again with lackluster food I’m going to write them off.

Best filet I’ve had this week. I’ve eaten at 3 different steak houses this week and ordered the same meal just to do a comparison and found Logan’s to be the winner. My waitress was as good as it gets so overall it was a great experience. I did not give them a 5 because the lobster was a little overlooked.

Their A/​C must be struggling today, because it is burning up in here. Georgia Sun Tea was the highlight of my meal. The filet was OK, cooked to the right temperature but not quite «right» for some reason. Grilled southwest shrimp appetizer was great. Service at the bar and at the table were good — above average, but nothing special.

All around great place to eat. Food quality is good to great. If you want a grilled prime rib, it cannot be had in Florence because after 5 attempts on 5 visits (no, I’m not kidding), they couldn’t seem to understand what ‘grilled’ meant. Otherwise, their meals are good food and can’t quite resist popping open some peanuts while waiting. Wait staff friendly and food is promptly prepared.

I’ve eaten here 3 times. Most of their food is just average, but their ribs are top notch!
The atmosphere is great, and you can throw your peanut shells on the floor. The bar staff was nice and friendly when I was there too.
