Shoney’s Restaurant

In town for a gig and sight seeing. Hit the breakfast buffet (based on previous reviews) and barely made it in time. They changed to brunch while we were there. The chicken with gravy was awesome, hot and fresh. Bacon, sausage, french toast, pancakes, fruit, eggs, hash browns and fried apples. Coke & a coffee.
Would give more stars but there were no grits. This is the south, you can’t have breakfast without grits. There was no one to seat us so we sat ourselves and started eating. Good thing or we might have missed breakfast and would have had to pay for sunday brunch.
The did offer us boxes to take our remnants back to the hotels but then did not bring them. We had to track down our own boxes.

Service was great, very friendly. Food just okay. Place seemed clean.

Service was better then Ryan’s and food taste like it should but you pay more but it’s better food
