Stringtown Park

My son (3) and I love this park! But I wish there was a fence around the playground! With it being on a hill most toddlers are constantly leaving the playground and running down it, back up etc. Which is a great workout, but after about 4+ times it gets a little old… If they ever add things or upgrade a tad I highly suggest that, it would make the park more enjoyable for me so I can actually sit and watch my child have a good time (instead of chasing him and pushing him back up towards the playground). There’s a volleyball court which I’ve never seen used for that… The kids love it and tend to bring buckets etc, which is another thing my son loves! There are a few tables under the shelter which is right next to the playground. And two basketball courts across the parking lot for the playground. As well as a little circle trail for jogs, with a few little workout stations along the way. The bathrooms are always clean and bug free! Whenever I go it’s always packed which is good so my son has plenty of kiddos to play with, but can be a pain trying to keep an eye on your kiddo! You end up running all around the playground so they stay in your eye sight lol! So be ready for a workout but a worn out little one ;) !

Wasn’t all too impressed with this park. The playground seems appropriate for little kids so the group I had that was 10 and up were a bit out of luck. All the tables are under a shelter, which will be nice once it gets hot, but the shade coupled with the windiness of being on top of a hill made it absolutely frigid. They have a grill you can use but it’s on top of the hill too so we had to huddle around it to stop the fire from being blown out. Just some basic bad planning. Maybe we’ll try back later in the season.

Nice structures. Will be better when restrooms open. Presume they are waiting for warmer weather. No shade. What few trees lined the walking paths were felled. Playground itself is on a hill, so pretty windy. Good for little kids 3 – 8. Older kids do sometimes swarm with little notice. You will likely hear a variety of languages too.
