Super 8 Florence

Employees are not energetic or nice, nor willing to help. The key card scanners didn’t work on any exterior doors. My room wasn’t cleaned for 4 days straight (my whole stay) and smelled like curry (yum, just kidding it’s terrible). After day 2 of no room service they took «special notes» to have it cleaned only to find out they locked me out instead. Wouldn’t give me fresh towels so I got pool towels. They block Netflix on their wifi. And to top it off their waffle maker didn’t work right. How the fuck do you fuck up a waffle maker? You just plug it in.
The only reason I stayed here is because they allow pets and it was not worth it. You could smell dope smoke in every hall and my colleagues asked if I was ok every morning because of the violent news reports they saw of the place 2 of the 4 nights I was there.
A lot of people bitch on Unilocal and it’s not taken serious, but I made an account just to shame this joke of a hotel. Seriously people get your shit together.

GAG! I would give it a minus rating of I could. Dirty, smelly, bug invested and rude ass employees! Do yourself a favor and bypass this hotel altogether! Bums come in off the streets and hang out in the lobby at all hours, nasty stench in the halls, stains on the walls, funky smelling bed linens and shady looking people hanging out in the back all the time. Not to mention the drug deal I personally witnessed as I was bringing my luggage in. The owner should be ashamed and banned from the hospitality industry. He clearly does not care. Take heed of these reviews and seek accommodations elsewhere, you will be glad you did. Oh yeah, housekeeping SUCKS. Stained sheets with burn holes and urine on the toilet seats, nasty… nasty…nasty!!! Stay at your own risk, you have been warned.

Cesspool. Run. As a pizza guy, I can assure you… YOU DON’T WANT TO STAY HERE. In fact, get off Dream Street. Run. Get your McDonald’s or your Chipotle… hell even stop and have the breakfast bar at Frisch’s. Then go. Another exit or two north or south won’t kill you. Staying at the Super 8 on Dream Street might. No, I’m not kidding.

Absolutely horrible! First off, I Woke up to some kind of bug bites all over my legs and arms. Then not all the front desk workers are nice, I went to get something to eat and forgot my fork I went to go ask the young blonde girl for one and she gave me a snobby attitude saying no we can’t give out anything only during breakfast and everything gets locked and I don’t have the key, you need to go to McDonald’s and get one from there. WTF, I’m not going to McDs just for that when I saw this same girl give a handful of forks, knifes, and spoons to a guest just the day before. Secondly, housekeeping never even mind knocking at the room I had to stay at asking if I needed clean towels, sheets, ect… (they would skip my room sometimes) and lastly there is no real security whatsoever. ANYBODY can go in and out of the back door near the pool. If you have to stay there GOOD LUCK.
Oh btw, if you plan to have breakfast there, make sure to get there pretty early as they always run out of food or close early (bfast should be over by 9:30 am and I went at 9:06 and everything was gone.)

#1. It’s gross.
Ex. Wake up to the stench of vomit. Walk down hall to the stairs passing maids. Vomit found on stairs. Leave the next day. Vomit still on steps.
#2. Over priced.
This is at best a $ 35/​night run down motel. How dare you ask over $ 60.
#3. Wake up calls do not work.
Please check your room for a phone. The front desk has no clue if each room is equipped with one. This is why you will be late for your 8 am meeting.
#4. Unwanted roommates.
I named him henry. He was the fly who would die, leave, or stay out of my personal space. Sasha was the beetle crawling on the wall, she passed away. And finally, the hundreds of bugs biting my legs as I slept through the night.
#5. No security.
None of the outside doors lock. You can enter that motel at any hour without a key.
#6. Old & Gross
It looks like all items were purchased at an auction. Nothing matches or makes sense. Ex. The king size coverlette on the tiny bed. Rusty fixtures, bathroom door leaving splinters on the floor because the front and back mdf was half way off. Towels are like sand paper. Rooms and hallways smell like animal, smoke and mold. Carpet felt moist and was stained horribly. White spot stains all over the bed skirt (xxx). Tv’s are the big. old boxes… horrible picture and the remote only allows you to change the channel. All other functions must be done on the tv.
#7. PArdon our dust signs.
Very confused where exactly the remodeling was occurring. It’s despicable of this owner to pocket money and allow humans to stay in these poor conditions.

This place was disgusting. We stayed for NYE, and had low expectations already and really, all we needed was a place to crash after going out to the bar to watch the ball drop.
We got there and the front desk representative was a little off. He continually hold us to hold on while he took phone calls, and then proceeded to tell us how he never does anything for NYE, in an awkward low-​life type of way.
Check-​in time is at 2pm. We arrived at 4pm and our room wasn’t ready yet, which is something that greatly bothers me because I made an effort NOT to get there «too early».
The room was «okay». Like I mentioned, we had low expectations, but still it was disappointing that it was falling apart.
The high-​speed internet is NOT high-​speed. I do not have a smartphone, but was planning to use the computer to check e-​mail, etc. and it was time consuming.
We were going to go to the hot tub, but a family of 7 or 8 was in it. The dad was motorboating the mom, which was just awkward, and we were going to hang out in the pool to wait but when we walked in, we realized how dirty it was and just left.
We knew people would be drunk, seeing as how it was NYE, but we were fortunate enough to pass out when we got to our room at 1:30am. However, in the morning, when I went to the lobby for the continental breakfast, another guest told me that she witnessed someone (who was drunk) peeing in the hallway the night before. When she informed the staff, I was surprised they weren’t in much of a rush to clean it up.
The breakfast, was not appealing and I was quite disappointed. The OJ was out of order, they ran out of food, and everything was just mediocre.
I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Run away. Sleep in your car. Don’t go to this hotel.
I cannot stress how shady and not clean this hotel is. My parents were in town for the weekend and ended up staying here… for a night. It was awful. There was some sort of domestic violence situation in the hallway that lasted for a lengthy time in the middle of the night. There were unsavory characters in and out throughout the evening. My father has his pistol permit and was carrying… he was glad he did, as he sat up most of the night with his gun in case the people who were screaming in the hall and banging doors all through the night came busting into his room.
Again, I cannot stress this enough… Stay far, far away.
