It was a debate between three and four stars and I decided to give this place a little love because of the kitchyness aspect of it. Well that and the staff were all quite friendly. By no means is this place the Ritz Carlton nor was it my first choice of places to stay in Florence but it was cheap and I was on my own dime for the night. This is the motel time forgot and the one your grandparents probably remember from road trips down the 95. The rooms don’t look like they have been updated sans the TV since the 70’s and the restaurant since the 60’s… but alas, that is what gives this place charm and why I booked here vs. your run of the mill no tell motel. Oh, and a true Southern breakfast is included in the rate! Like pork chitlins, grits, bacon, 14-types of sausage and sweet tea. It’s basic, to the point and no frills place to pull off the road and get some shuteye and clog your arteries in the AM and give you sugar rush to put you into a diabetic coma breakfast. I am a fan of the Thunderbird Inn.

Room was clean wifi don’t work after room change. Breakfast was good. Good service besides the wifi. Shouldn’t advertise wifi if you don’t have it in the rooms.

Decent and clean rooms. I never managed to get the wifi works, even after a room change. Breakfast buffet included in the adult rate, they asked me to pay for 3 kids under 10 even if the lady at the check in told me I will not be charged for the kids, this is true only for under 3.
