On a hot summer day in St Louis, going to this Florissant Landmark is a definite must. One of my good friends took me to this place saying I know you don’t like custard but you will love Fritz… 5 mins later and he was right… the vanilla is so buttery . So if you in the area or just want some great custard… Stop here and enjoy a taste of Olé Florissant greatness!

Sorry Ted Drewes for cheating on you but I was in area and dying for a turtle. Let the custards wars begin. Not a whole lot I can add this is a stl staple. Lines get crazy but once they hand over your sundae it’s well worth it. They don’t skimp on toppings everything tastes fresh. I’m a creature of habit the turtle sundae is my favorite.

They have delicious ice cream! The past two times that I have been there, I ordered their root beer floats. I spend about $ 12 for a total of four people. The cost is pretty reasonable.

Coming from Chicago this reminds me of a favorite custard shop at home called Andy’s. When I come to visit the area, Fritz is my favorite place to get good custard! I recommend the Turtle Sundae. It is my ultimate favorite. They are so generous with their toppings. Customer service is great! During the warmer days, this place is often busy and packed and staff are always friendly. My favorite custard in St. Louis!

I’m accustomed to Ted Drewes and thick custard that is essentially immobile until it thaws. So I thought their custard was a little watery. Maybe it’s low fat or something like that. I tried the yellow cake batter and cookie dough on the recommendation of Stephen. It was delicious, but missing a little something. It wasn’t as sweet as what I’m used to, and also it was not as thick. The flavors were good.

First time here. Friendly service. Extensive menu. Had the strawberry and banana concrete and it was excellent. Fresh fruit. Creamy. Delicious.

Very unhappy. Ordered a turtle and they made it a concrete. Made a caramel sundae a concrete. Bagged it and the cups were turns on their sides. What a mess! ! Called to speak to the manager and he could have cared less! !

The best custard! No need to go anywhere else. Has a great variety of flavors for flavor of the day. Many toppings to choose from. I eat her almost every day with second pregnancy! I just love it

It feels like home. Fritz’s Frozen Custard is a Florissant institution. As I’ve mentioned before, I grew up in Florissant, and I was raised on Fritz’s turtles! Quality frozen custard, covered with hot fudge, caramel, pecans, and a cherry on top! If I didn’t have money for the turtle, I would just order a plain cone, white or chocolate, and they would stack that custard up to the sky! And I would be a happy boy. Now I realize that I have already proclaimed Ted Drewe’s the frozen custard king. Nonetheless, that proclamation doesn’t take away from what Fritz’s does. It’s hard to compete with royality, but proximity plays a big part of my love for this custard stand. Chippewa was a long way from my home in Florissant, so why drive twenty miles for custard when it was already in my backyard? Still, Fritz’s doesn’t disappoint. Their product is great. It is one of the few thing that I miss about living in North County, the others being Pirrone’s Pizza and Old Town Donuts. With my parents still holding strong in Flotown, I make it a priority to enjoy these three establishments whenever possible. If you live in North County, you already know about these wonderful places. If not, check out Fritz’s and have yourself a turtle!

I would have to say the Mayor’s Cup(vanilla with strawberries and bananas) is my all time favorite. It is a must try!

Yes this place is great! I love the turtle sundae! This place I rate five stars because I used to go with both of grandpas before they passed. This place gives me the best memories ever and now I enjoy going with my family and making new memories. I love visiting my grandma because she always takes me no matter what.

Many People think I am crazy, but I have always thought that the flavor of fritz’s frozen custard is much better than Ted Drewes. Also, most people from out of town that I have introduced to both agree. It has the cleanest, smoothest, most wonderful flavor of even their basic custard. And their turtle sundaes/concretes are out of this world. The roasted and salted pecans are perfect, and every time I go back after being away, I am wonderfully surprised. The helpings are generous and the staff is always pleasant. The day this place closes down would be a dark day for St. Louis, for I have never found an ice cream/frozen custard place that I enjoy half as much as this. Thank you, Your Greatest Admirer

What can I say that hasn’t already been said. I’ve reviewed the West County location, but this original North County location holds a special place in my heart. I used to come here all the time as a kid, hanging on the bars while my dad waited in line. Love the turtle and concretes. Mint, orange, cookie dough — you name it; I eat it. Really enjoy the Lite concretes too. Makes me feel less guilty. Is it as good as the full fat? Of course not! But for 95% fat free, it’s pretty amazing.

I would say that I have had more Frozen Custard from this place than any type of desert from any other venue anywhere. I grew up in North County and discovered this place when I was able to drive. I know that my parents probably didn’t take me there because it was a little further than they would drive to get ice cream. But now I literally live down the street and can walk there, so it is all good. I used to get the regular Custard, but I found out about the 95% fat free and have not gone back. I love the taste and I think it makes it a lot healthier than the regular. Also I talked to one of the girls there and asked what the difference was, she said that you really can’t taste a difference and when they run out of regular they serve the reduced fat stuff and no one complains. My wife loves the Turtle and get it made as a concrete, I just get a concrete with what ever seem fitting. I always feel like it was worth the money and the service is always great. I love this place and I hope you will to. Also get the Club cards they offer, it gets you a free one in whatever size you are getting after 10 of them. I hope that made sense. Best place for great Frozen Custard in Florissant.

Fritz’s is an icon in the Florissant area. Located on the edge of Old Town Florissant near the intersection of New Florissant and Saint Catherine, it features your Fritz’s favorites. Their signature is the Turtle(Susan’s favorite): Vanilla custard, hot fudge, carmel and pecans. Last night I had the Ra-a-ma-taz, vanilla custard with fresh raspberries and crushed nuts! Yummy. There is outside seating available and there is always a friendly family atmosphere. In fact I met a pretty neat guy there with his kisds and half the cousins and neighbor kids. It’s a nice summertime outing, no need to drive all the way to South Saint Louis for that other guys stuff! There is a huge menu available from a single dip cone to a giant Banana Split with all types of slushies, floats, malts, shakes and concretes in between. Love to see you there sometime.
