Updated to add two things: 1) They’re now open on Sundays for business from noon — 4pm. You can purchase yarn and/or participate in afternoon knitting. Come knit with fun and awesome people(like me!!!) and get help with your patterns if you get stuck. 2) They moved from the upstairs to the first floor. Yay no more walking up rickety old steps. #lazyfolyfe. ^___^

Great selection, helpful staff, historic building. What more could a girl ask for in a yarn shop. The yarn selection is quite broad here and organized by weight and brand. The staff was helpful but didn’t hover. She was happy to let me wander and find just what I needed. They have a nice little 25% off section as well as regular yarns to fit a budget conscious knitter. To top it all off I happened to drop a metro link ticket and the woman working the counter(didn’t catch her name) called me to let me know I’d lost it. I look forward to joining their Tuesday night group of beginner/intermediate knitters!

Insanely awesome! Today was the first day it opened due to tornado damage. Seeing that intense damage outside the house made me glad that no one was there when the tornado hit. A pine tree got uprooted, a second floor window was broken, water damage on the second floor & much more. Despite all of this damage, the employees were happy. A yarn store to me is like a candy store to a kid. This place has a great selection of items. Knitting & crocheting items are on the second floor, & quilting is on the first. This place is a historical building. Painted ceilings reminiscent of old Roman villas & a richly painted albeit faded wall on one of the floors. Gorgeous! Makes me wish my bedroom had a painted ceiling & walls of gorgeous scenes. The staff was quite helpful. I will definitely be back to look at yarn.
