We paid a $ 5k deposit for our October wedding. In late August we received an email, with 47 other brides copied, that the wedding planner was«forced out of her business» for nonpayment of rent. She said she was sorry, but offered NO refunds. Not only did she steal everyone’s money, but we all had to find new vendors and venues! Some people were even getting married that weekend… Janice is an awful woman. She stole not only thousands of dollars, but all of our wedding day dreams. Don’t go anywhere near her. AGAIN-47OFUS! Google it and the news stories will come up.

This is where you would go if you want to have a picturesque wedding like you see in the movies but don’t need a chapel with 150 rows of pews for extended families of all your friends. Chapelle des Fleurs did not spare any detail as far as aesthetics are concerned. The wedding music is separate but many ceremonies are done with a live orchestra which adds to the atmosphere. In the same building, just down the hall from the chapel is the reception room which the out-of-town guests will be sure to appreciate. It’s easy enough to describe further but it’s easier just to check out the pictures and slideshows on the website. So why only 4 stars? First off, the climate control issue. It was a pretty chilly evening and everyone was rubbing their hands together at times. There were plenty of doorways and if you happened to sit next to one in the chapel or the reception room you had that cold feeling. Also, the food — someone mentioned«I think we may have come here on an off night.» I really hope so, as a couple of the items were lacking. The bacon wrapped shrimp were on the dry side, and the cheese filling for the ravioli had a floury texture … it’s almost as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp. BUT not to worry, all the rest of the food was excellent and the servers were accomodating to everyone’s requests. One suggestion for appetizers — mushroom caps with italian sausage, they were even better than the signature meatballs. Definitely look into this gem for a wedding ceremony.
