Wow, one of the worst docs I have been to see in my LIFE! I unfortunately have seen my fair share of docs over the year, as I have a lot of health issues. I’m pretty sure this man is about as dumb as they come, as far as doctors go… either that, or he just has such a general lack of compassion, concern, or care for his patience that it comes across as ignorance. Many of my complaints were well summed up by previous reviewer, Karen G. When you come for an appointment, you will wait in the waiting room for a long time, but then be seen for a shockingly short amount of time by the doctor or Physician Assistant(PA). I have not seem the PA, but my mother has, and she said that he and the rest of the staff failed to mention that he was a PA… which i think is just common courtesy to ask when you are booking a patient with what they assume is a doctor. Don’t get me wrong, PAs are great, and in this case, you’d be MUCH better off with the PA, but I feel it should be out in the open you are not going to see a MD unless you have previously already seen the PA. My mom said the PA was much kinder, seemed more knowledgeable, and took longer with her. So I go to see Dr. Perez, and just like another reviewer has mentioned, I don’t think I saw his face more than about 2 mins total and hardly ever got to make eye contact with him because the whole time he just was sitting on his stool, hunched over, staring at his tablet computer, going«uh huh, uh huh, hmmm, okay, uh huh». He did not even take a good LOOK at the skin issues I was having, before writing some script and dismissing this issue. I felt no sense of confidence in his decision, because what I was describing to him needs to be SEEN by a doctor. If I wanted a phone consult, I would not have COMEINTOYOUROFFICE. I guess when you get your MD from a medical school in Puerto Rico they forget to teach bed side manner. Or, in my opinion, the more likely situation is that he was over on his tablet computer typing my symptoms into WebMD symptom checker to make his diagnosis. Geeze, I can do that myself buddy. The second part of the issue I had was a sebacious cyst that needed to be excised. I have had them out in the past, with great results, by a top MD in NYC when I used to live there. Her technique was good, the pain was minimal and the scaring only minor. I discussed the cyst removal with Dr Perez and inquired about the technique he was going to use, which sounded identical to my prior doctor. Then he does the procedure and doesn’t even shave the area! That’s a huge no no for sterile technique. The procedure was also more painful and left a substantial divot in my head. Thankfully it’s covered by hair. Overall, I would avoid this place!

One of those offices where you wait 35 minutes to «see» the doctor for 5 minutes. I put see in quotes because all I really saw was the top of his head. They use laptops for keeping medical records here, so he stared at the screen the whole time. Well, he did look at my skin for all of 15 seconds. Didn’t explain a thing… just gave me a script and said come back in 6 weeks. Gee, thanks. Think not…
