Nicely arranged liquor store with quite the selection. The shelves aren’t too high so the signs of what you are looking for you can zoom in on from the door.
Prices are par with any other local store and wine selection is quite good. Great location of Spout Springs and close to the freeway for shoppers from Friendship or Buford– good lake access too. Been coming here for a while an find the selection is one of the better around.

Flowery Branch has no right to a liquor store with such an impressive collection. Being a whisk (e)y man, this place has my number. I’ve yet to see a craft American whiskey selection so comprehensive.

Hometown Spirits is no Total Wine (my favorite), but they do have a nice selection of beers, wines, and liquor. Beau and I stopped in to grab some brews for my fambam’s crab boil and left happy with our selections. The cashier did ask the «where are you guys from» question, which seems to be popular with me lately.
We left and ran into a guy with a Stillen supercharged 350Z and there was a brand new Jaguar F-​Type sitting outside. Glad to see nice cars around these parts!

Excellent selection of Irish Whiskeys and wines. A definite «go to» place for all your imbibing needs.

Very friendly staff and always willing to help you find anything. If you live in the are then this is the place to get your booze :)

I drove what seemed like hours to visit a liquor store outside of Buford and this is where I ended up. The lighting is really dim inside & outside I didn’t even think they were open at first. They provide a vast selection of beers, wines, and liquor. I was picking up supplies for my Martini Monday celebration tonight. The store is a bit confusing it took me a minute to find the Vodka because the signs were kind of low and not very visible. But the prices weren’t bad and the lady at the counter was very nice. I think this will definitely be my go to place for alcohol from now on.

Wish I had better things to say about this place.
Beer selection is good, in fact I’d say great. Unfortunately, the cooler is run about as warm as you could get and still get away with selling «cold beer». I suspect this is a cost cutting measure or something, but cmon Hometown, crank the fridge down a few notches!
I appreciate the little signs that the staff puts around with details about various picks, and I am sure that the ones in the fairly large wine section are helpful.
Unfortunately one of the ladies who works there decided to editorialize to another customer about my selection in a negative way once, which left me with a really bad feeling about the place. Full disclosure: I was buying some Jagermeister for someone else and she loudly and in a condescending manner waxed poetic about how «That crap tastes like cough syrup» as she was ringing me up. Who wants to get busted on when you are feeding your vices, or in my case someone elses?! That whole experience left me feeling like their attitude was that — they were the local liquor castle and could do whatever they wanted and say whatever they wanted because they certainly weren’t going to go out of business if they lost me or anyone else as a customer-​. That was over two years ago though, and I honestly haven’t seen that woman working there ever again. Still, I will only go in if I am after something I think won’t have the staff ranking my drinking habits about.
So, if you want some fancy albiet kind of warm beer, or need some guidance developing a taste for wines, Hometown can hook you up. But if you are on the tail end of a bender and want some ice cold domestic swill without worrying about the staff looking down their noses at you, hit the Chevron across the street

Lots of booze. Fair prices. And alcoholic whipped cream at the checkout counter (for that crazy impulse buy). It’s all good.
