Great location, good service, limited heavy menu. No lighter options, restaurant could use some choices from their sister restaurant at Hideaway Bay Marina. Difficult to eat heavy fried food outside on a hot summer day. We’ll take our business to other lake restaurants until the menu at Pig Tales is expanded.

Went to Pig Tales last Friday. This was not my first visit. The Fried Green Tomatoes BLT was ok but not great. Too much bread and bread was dry. My wife had the Pork Tacos, again ok but not great. The sister restaurant Fish Tales is great. The menu hear needs work. I love this location and it works well as our dog often goes on the boat with us and this environment works for the dog. All that said, I wish Dockside was back. Unless something changes, we will head up the lakes to Skoogies or go to Fish Tales.

Pleasantly surprised. I read previous reviews before coming, so pretty much knew what to try. There was 6 of us and we all had different things… kids shared full rack of ribs and they loved it! Hubby got the brisket, and it was delicious, I wanted to eat his after I had a taste. I got the pork tacos, they were OK, wouldn’t order them again. Father in law got the pulled pork, he loved it. We also got the wings as an appetizer and they were good! Service was great and view of Lake Lanier was nice. All in all, it was great and definitely will come again the next time we’re in town.

The whole staff was inviting and friendly. The server we had was awesome and on point. The food… Uhmm. YUM!!! Pulled pork sandwich with the cold slaw was awesome and delicious. The kids loved their food l. I enjoyed the team work the servers brought! We never were with out a drink. Smiles from everyone who spoke to me. Keep it up!

Hey — you don’t come here to get a gourmet meal. It’s BBQ, wings, burgers and hot dogs, end of story. The food is great and exactly what you need after a long day on the water. Wait can be really long — not too many tables and the dock only has limited space. A lot of kids and even dog friendly. You basically sit outside under a big open tent.

I was a little disappointed to find out the previous restaurant, dockside, was going to be exiting Aqualand marina because I always liked their burgers /price. Big thick juicy burgers for reasonable amount with a view from the lake -= frequent spot for me. I was pleasantly surprised to see that even though Pig Tales has a focus on BBQ, they also kept a lot of the dockside menu ideas — burgers, but added mega fancy hot dogs and made the apps a little more simple. While I didn’t try the BBQ(you’d really have to convince me to try it, being a lake side restaurant and I didn’t see any smokers) the rest of the food was fantastic. I had the 3 sisters burger with several cheeses and a thick, hearty slab of burger. My friends all really enjoyed their food, we had a nice seat on the gravel patio area and while it was 95 outside, we didn’t feel like we were baking as the restaurant is well aired with fans and airflow. I’d be back at this spot.

I eat a lot of wings each month… probably too many. Three Dollar is near my office in Norcross, Wild Wing and Buffalo Wild Wing in Gainesville and all have been visited by me monthly for quite a while. Garlic Parm, lemon pepper/teriyaki, etc, have been favorites. After having the Jerk wings at Pig Tales, the three chains go to numbers 2 – 4! Well prepared wings, medium sized and not steroid sized. Also, you won’t pay extra for ranch as is charged at the chains which always perplexes me. Side of house made potato salad was outstanding! Almost as good as Daniel’s Mom’s!

Great new place on the lake. We used to eat here under the previous ownership, and wow! What an upgrade. Great new menu, wonderful service, and loved the table and chair upgrades.

Good brisket — 2 big thick sliced /took one slice home and made 2 more sandwiches later… the potato salad was awesome and loved the onion rings — we went one weekday afternoon and ate on the covered deck — but it was still pretty hot though I think they are working on it by adding more fans plus adding more covered area — we’ll definitely go back soon

Visited this restaurant many times in the past when it was under a different management team. Also visited Fishtales it’s sister restaurant. Went on a Wednesday afternoon, service was sooooo slow felt like we were there waiting for hours. It was a good 40 minutes to get our food and it was a burger, and smoked pork. They need to do better. Also the menu is all fried or smoked pork. Nothing healthy except for a garden salad(which was pre mix bag stuff). They need to add a couple of grilled items like chicken which should be easy enough. I don’t think I’ll be back due to the limited menu.

So It’s Memorial Day weekend and seven of us drop in to Pig Tales for a drink after a long day on the lake. The server offers to take our order, but refuses to serve two of our party because we left our government issued identification on the boat. Mind you, we aren’t babies. I served in Iraq during Desert Storm and have a bald spot on top of my head that anyone with any common sense can take one glance at and tell with a certainty that I am of legal drinking age. The manager says he has to «go by the book». Well kudos to you Mr. Manager. You refused to let a war vet buy a beer on Memorial Day.

We so wanted to Love this place. Unfortunately, it’s not very good. The 1st time we came the food was average. They are trying to fuze some flavors together, but it’s not working. We figured we would try it a 2nd time just to see if it was just a bad night the 1st time we visited. The 2nd time the Pork Nachos barely had any cheese on them. The cheeseburger I ordered was cooked to death and severely burnt. The bun was hard. We spoke to friends of ours that tried this place and they complained about their food being overcooked too. It’s a shame because it’s a great location. Wish the food was better.

We tried going their sister restaurant, Fish Tales, on Mothers Day but needless to say, the wait was insane. So we decided to go up the road and try their newest restaurant, Pig Tales. Large and airy under a huger awning, it had a great view of the lake, actually better than Fish Tales. The menu is BBQ based, but had some other choices for non pork eaters(who doesn’t like pork?). I started off with a lemonade and Jack Daniels drink which, on the menu picture looked good and slushy. Since they are made individually in a blender though it didn’t pulverize the ice enough and it came out too grainy for my liking, but the taste was good. The next one I got was on the rocks and I suggest it that way, much better. I had pork tacos which were good, although I would have liked a bit more filling, they were a tad scant. My husband had the burger which, he didn’t tell me until afterwards, was dry and overlooked. He hates to complain so he didn’t mention it and ate almost all of it. My feeling is if you don’t tell them of a problem, they won’t know to correct it. Both orders came with what looked like hand cut fries and they were delicious. We’ll be back, it was a nice place to sit out for an afternoon or evening and the drinks are cold and the food holds a lot of promise. A good/bad point could be the tie up dock nearby. Great casual place for boaters to drop in and eat, I just hope as summer progresses it doesn’t become the cocktail cove crowd of training wheel drinkers. Crossing my fingers because our service was good, even though the staff is still a bit green they’re trying hard, and it’s a nice little drive for a casual bite by the lake.

This is another lakeside dining concept by the same people who own the established Fish Tales restaurant. Pig Tales is a fusion BBQ joint with a kick-ass lake view. Their menu is tasty and eclectic with selections like Pork Tacos(good) and Garlic Goat Cheese Wings(YES– for the love of God, Yes!) Their beer is cold and their staff is super friendly. So why not give this place 5 stars? Because this newly opened restaurant has some minor issues to work out. Although our server was super sweet and accommodating, she desperately needed additional training on the menu(for both drinks and food) and really needed to have some go-to recommendations when asked(like I did) for suggestions. Let’s face it… some people want to be sold on something. She also seemed to have a problem with the concept of mixed drinks… I asked for a rum and diet coke and she brought out a diet coke with rum coming later as a separate drink(lol) and someone else asked for a shot of crown and a lime and she thought he ordered a lime flavored Crown drink(don’t think they even make that) But again… she was fun and sweet. What is it they say in the south? Bless her heart. Pig Tales is located at the Aqualand Marina near the fuel pumps. Definitely worth a visit. Just allow them an opportunity to learn themselves… be patient.
