Don’t go there if you don’t speak Spanish. Would not know what food was like as we could not place an order due to the major language«technicalities».

This is a great place to stop on the way up to the North Georgia mountains for an extremely authentic and delicious ethnic meal. The kids meals are very large. Try the queso pupusa which is a traditional arepa with cheese like you might find at a Miami street festival or the tostadas de ceviche — delicious. Large and clean and filled with Latins watching futbol, this El Salvadorean restaurant will blow you away at inexpensive prices. Large enough to accomodate a big group.

I tried this place for lunch recently and was thoroughly impressed. I’m a chips and salsa afficianado and El Guanaco’s salsa is the best I’ve ever tasted. I ordered a grilled chicken breast off their very reasonably priced lunch menu. It was prepared ala plancha style and came with tortillas, rice, beans and lettuce with sliced avocado. Service was fast and the food was tasty and the serving size more than ample. I’ll definitely be back!
