Now takes credit and debit cards and has a modern, up-to-date payment processing system. Still the best coffee shop in the world, with excellent locally-sourced coffee courtesy of Red Rooster. Red Rooster’s Ethiopian Yergacheffe is the single best cup of black coffee I’ve ever had. Also carries a small selection of excellent local baked goods. Has some options for customers with dietary restrictions. Amazing service, great prices, excellent atmosphere! Top notch!

Amazing coffee shop! Like so much in Floyd, it has a beautiful blend of big city style and small town service and quality. The croissant with pepper jack and tomato was fantastic as well. Can’t wait to come back!

I had an amazing espresso drink called The Bootlegger. Wished when I was done that I had gotten the 16 oz. Alec had something else(we couldn’t recall the name) which was equally wonderful. The atmosphere is perfect, games and art and cute places to relax. Kinda wish they were closer to VT for future visits

Sehr gemütliches, liebevolles Café mit Kaffee aus der lokalen Rösterei, kostenlosem WLAN und herrlichen Süßigkeiten. Unbedingt probieren: Toffee Bar Blondie!

The coffee is locally roasted and always great! The staff is friendly. It is not a Starbucks. So, don’t walk in expecting super quick, out the door service. They run on «Floyd Time,» like the rest of the town. So, check the local art and enjoy!

Best chai I ever had! A lucky find on a trip to the Floyd County Store. Nice ladies, funky 90s atmosphere, and great drinks.

A fabulous spot. Best coffee I’ve ever had. Roasted to perfection right downstairs. And its a family affair to boot. Don’t skip this place if you like coffee and you’re in town. Its the coffee shop by which I judge all other coffee shops.

FYI: does not take credit cards! Cash or checks only. Great coffee, good food, but service was on the slow side(15 min for 2 lattes, a bagel and a scone). The lemon ginger scone was delicious and my friend’s bagel with garlic cream cheese was also yummy.

Fantastic coffee, art, and board games – this is the perfect coffee shop that is family run in conjunction with the bookstore downstairs. The open space is decorated with an assortment of art on the walls(for sale). Comfy couches, large tables, and counter space near the window. My favorite thing about the shop is the Faces of the Loft project, which asks you to take a picture of you/&friends with a disposal camera provided. The pictures are then developed and posted around the loft! I got an iced latte that really impressed me. Straight up strong, and the coffee itself is smooth(none of the burnt stuff you find at huge chains). My friend got the One Stoplight with expresso, which turns out to be pretty syrupy but I surprisingly liked a bit of it. I don’t like drinks super sweet(I don’t even drink soda) so I definitely wouldn’t finish one for myself. On Saturdays the shop is closed and serving coffee at the farmers market in the morning!

This place is simply wonderful. Cute bookstore on the first floor, and a boho decorated/themed café on the second floor. My friend ordered coffee and I ordered hot cocoa– I am not usually a fan of coffee, but I tried hers and it was superb! My hot chocolate was delicious(I always add cinnamon.). Also, try their raspberry hot chocolate. It is surprisingly good. Loved the décor and staff was extremely warm and friendly!

Great coffee brewed fresh, ground downstairs at the Red Rooster coffee store and served by friendly staff. Free wifi, comfy chairs, good music… a nice place to meet with friends or catch up on some internet work over a cup of joe.

Looking for good coffee? Stop here. By the way there is no such a thing as bad music in Floyd if you like folk and bluegrass.

Fun little family owned and operated coffee shop right in downtown Floyd next to the new farmers market site and within walking distance of art galleries and restaurants. Appropriately quirky. A bookstore downstairs completes the picture. Only problems are a crowd of rowdy homeschool local kids and bad music.
