Chang Amos C DDS

I have been a patient of Dr. Chang since I was a child when his office was in 39 – 01 Main Street, Flushing. He has always been patient, thorough and kind in his approach with me. I know no one likes the visit the Dentist, but he makes it as painless as possible and does it as quick as possible. He also has amazing anesthesia injection skills (quick and painless!).
Needless to say I have been with him for decades and he is and will continue to be my family dentist!

My experience with Dr Chang is totally opposite from the previous reviewer. He is very punctual, professional, friendly yet funny. As to his clinic, you can’t really tell that’s a 20+ year clinic with the fancy marble front desk and organized furniture. Dr Chang never forces patient to do anything they don’t want to, but always gives professional opinions for the procedures that need to be done. I would strongly recommend Dr Chang to my friend, if they need a dentist.

Where do I even begin with this terrible ordeal? First of all, when you walk into the office, it’s a dingy place with outdated furniture and a musty smell. Next, whenever your appointment is supposed to start, you wait forever to even be called. The receptionist (the wife of the dentist) put me down for an appointment for 2 P. M and I showed up on time and the dentist and his crew had the audacity to take their lunch break during my appointment. I was FINALLY called in at 4 P. M which is completely unprofessional that they schedule appointments during their lunch period. And the technique of the dentist? Don’t even get me started. He filled a tooth and not even 2 months go by and the filling falls out, I called to have him fix it and the dentist has the nerve to get upset with me. I mean why is he the one to get frustrated when he didn’t even have the ability to complete the job efficiently. Not only did he not do a decent job, he charges whatever he feels like AFTER the appointment without discussing costs with you at first– that is completely ridiculous and shady. He wanted to charge me $ 800 per tooth, which is outrageous. I walked out of the office filled with rage and the dentist yelled at me, another strike at his unprofessionalism.
Whoever is planning to go to this dentist, please AVOID this place. It is completely untrustworthy.
Note: He will try to force you to take x-​rays (despite whether or not you really need them) and refer you to a different doctor and upon some research, the other doctor turns out to be one of his classmates from dental school. She also charges ridiculous prices for her services and some of the percentage goes to Amos Chang for his referral, completely shady!
Update: I went back in to have him fix a mistake he made and he had the audacity to charge me more for his own mistake! Thinking of reporting him to the bureau.
