Ciampa Organization

The management and super are very unprofessional. Just like one of the other reviewers I am currently waiting for my security deposit. It has been more than two months. Every time I call they say they will return the call or they are out to lunch and no one ever gets back to you. The super neglects his duties or has his kids do them. There are rats and roaches all over the building. The black mold gets painted over and the heat in the building is terrible. If you own a car forget about finding a parking spot. Best decision I ever made was to move out. Don’t make the same mistake. Also they will raise the rent every year. Stay away!

The worst management ever. They will be prompt to your calls and emails when you’re trying to lease, but will never respond once you move out. Either the person is out of the office and will be back «the next day,» only to call back the next day and she won’t be available all day. I am trying to receive my security deposit back but they have been avoiding my calls for the past 3 months. Dear JULIE and DAWN, go take a time management class or something. Must be way too busy to call someone back!
Oh. and their apartments are filthy. I don’t know why their bathroom vents don’t work.

No complaints so far beside neighbor disputes (once this bitch wanted to call a fucking police) ! Why? Pencil fell on the floor or too many times walking to the bathroom, supposedly she lives right downstairs to my Appartment. Other thing Super don’t understand English when you have a problem with some Amenities broken when you desperately want a handyman to fix it. Other than that, life is good.
Nice elevator but sometimes it breaks down & you take stairs that’s fine, another way to get thick & fit. I take it. Did you just see that lonely water bug on the floor? I am ok but time to call pest controller, mucho «Vasura «Super.
to be honest It’s actually a very clean building, they mop & vac hallway, smells disinfecting solution Mr Clean. but some units smells Crack ! Maybe I need to stop right here … Also the good thing is you also do smell D&G & Salvatore Farragamo ! You decide ! !

Stay away. Don’t get lured in by nice lobby of the building, well maintained lawn or even new appliances inside. The lawn is where the maintenance ends, you will never get things fixed things the right way.
Forget getting the parking lot, they are being given out to strangers who pay off.

What is Ciampa? Well, it’s a property management organization. More specifically, mine.
For me, there’s nothing really to compare them to, since it’s my first apartment that wasn’t part of a University. But I have to say that Ciampa gets on top of things. I only had a problem once with the water bill looking way out of proportions and the dispute amount was put on hold by someone who left and never told anyone about it.
Other than that, their buildings are maintain quite well (they own several in Flushing). Laundry rooms are all clean and operating. Apartment problems are always fixed in a timely manner. And they even help mediate an issue with a neighbor. I think good management companies are hard to come by these days.
