At citi Field in section 112 and JAMES R is the best server ever, best service, quick drinks, great personality !!! BEST BEST BEST !!! So happy

It’s the balls that keep me coming back. That and the tasty ballpark food.

OK, so I am not a Mets fan… but I can appreciate good baseball. And while this city will continue to debate as to which team is better — I tell ya — Citi Field and the Mets have some good things going on.
+ Citi Field is easy enough to get to via the 7 train, or via car. There’s plenty of parking and I suggest finding a spot in the lot across the street from the stadium for easy exiting. Oh and navigating the stadium to your seat isn’t tricky at all.
— But the security lines are inconsistent and frustrating. Ie. lines were excruciatingly slow on a recent Tuesday evening, and then on Sunday later that week — things moved so quickly. I don’t understand.
+ When you finally get inside though — the food options are top-​notch. Blue Smoke and Shake Shack alone are worth a star. Plus there’s a tacos, steak sandwiches, pizza AND all of your typical ball park foods like hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, etc. and prices aren’t that outrageous.
— Depending on where your seat is you might have issues seeing the field. Womp womp. Who designs a stadium in which the upper deck, 3^rd base side can’t see the field below them?
+ Whether you can see or not — the energy here is contagious. Of the two games I’ve attended recently my favorite part was the crowd chanting NO-​AH! NO-​AH! NO-​AH! How can you not chant along when that blonde bombshell pitcher takes the mound with the rest of the 2015 Nation League Champs behind him. These fans love their ball players — and you’ve got to respect that.

Came to Citifield to see Queen Beyoncé perform. Citifield was a great venue to fit a overly large crowd of Bey Hivers.
One of the things I loved about Citifield is their vegetarian options for food. I remember not too long ago when sport arenas didn’t accommodate different eating lifestyles. But they do now! I had a veggie burger (actually made of veggies not soy). Really tasty for stadium food.
Can’t wait to go to my next concert here!

Came here last night to see Beyoncé!!! The citified staff was pretty great (except for one not so nice guy who tried direct us to the wrong entrance). The security guards that were in our section, which was RIGHT NEXT TO THE STAGE, were super nice! They were talking to us, making jokes and taking pics until the show started. The staff at the concession stands were awesome too. Everybody was in good spirits and seemed genuinely happy. Only negative here, like with similar venues, is the over pricing of food and drinks :/​I suppose that was offset by the fact that I got to hold Beyonce’s hand!

Love what playing or not, traffic to get here or not (Probably yes lol), you can’t say that the energy released from thousands of people screaming is something you witness every day. Even if you are not into baseball, come here at least once, it can never be boring.
If you are planning to drive here, come early, you want to avoid heavy traffic, and you do not want to get here when you are already upset (As happened to me few times).

Citifield is so much nicer than the old Shea. But both places had their charm. I’ve gone to Shea many times as a kid. And now it’s awesome that I can bring my kids to the new Mets Stadium.
The iconic Home Run Apple, the fun kids zone just pass the Shea Bridge, Mr. Met, Baseball Museum, and the Jackie Robinson Memorial to name a few things of must see highlights in the stadium besides the game of course.
The really cool reason this is on Unilocal besides it being a favorite American past time, it is also because of the food. I mean every stadium has the classic hot dog, domestic beer, popcorn, and soda fare but Citifield has much more. Say the Pat LaFrieda Restaurant, Fuku (just added this year), Shake Shack, Two Boots Pizza, Rao’s, Mama’s of Corona, and Blue Smoke … drooling yet? It’s like going to a sampling of a kick but Foodie Fest.
Tip: go before the game starts, like early, an hour before the first pitch so you can take in all of the food options, eat and enjoy the experience while soaking in the atmosphere. Then chillax at your seat and enjoy the game.

Citified provided quite the venue for any sport experience: first-​timers, experienced game-​watchers, you name it. I visited the venue to watch the Mets as part of the Promenade Club with unlimited buffet food, and box seating.
The view? Substantial. I was able to follow each player and his movement ridiculously well, and I most likely would have been able to make out their facial expressions, too, had I been wearing my glasses/​contacts. Though, I’m not completely disappointed about that. Life goes on.
The food was. average. A bit too average.
The drinks were average, too. They were merely your run-​of-​the-​mill sports game food/​drinks, which was a little unfortunate. Overall, the experience was somewhat memorable and enjoyable.

Today I had Shake shack which is typically mobbed. Lucky I got there early and had some shack burger and cheese fries. Waved to Mr. Met as he walked pass the dunk tank. Then made my map plan to find the bacon on a stick that everyone’s been raving about. The pig guy.
He’s in the same corner as the mart. The side that also has the fried Oreos. 2 for $ 12 with whatever flavor you want. Sweet and spicy is delicious and totally worth the price.
The stadium is packed because of free Tshirt Friday. Sooo many Mets fans we destroyed the stadium.
There were kids outside with the ballpark app that we’re giving out free cozies for people that «checked in». Too bad Unilocal wasn’t there representing. ;0)

It’s been a while since I’ve been back to this stadium to catch a game my most recent visits brought me here because of the Electric Daisy Carnival.
As for the stadium & the games it really is a nice stadium inside great set up with plenty of food & drink options inside lots to choose from, I do like that they have a Shake Shack inside great burgers & fries. Prices as I recalled were pretty pricey am sure they have not changed.
Moving along my review is mainly for the EDC festival it was held this past weekend May 14−15^th getting to & from the festival was super easy 7 train was on point.
Getting past security was a breeze, plenty of people working to check u in made the lines practically non existent.
Once inside it was open season whoa very cool set up with 4 main stages & a few smaller ones plus over 100 DJ’s to watch something for everyone.
Plenty of food, drinks & merchandise stores my group & I had some beers, utilized the water stations & had a few drinks at the Jagger house.
Beer prices range from $ 9 – 10, Drinks $ 12 – 14 & food varies.
First day I had some $ 10 Mac & Cheese w Rosemary chicken, this was pretty good. Second day I had a $ 7 Pizza good slice, horrible price wise… prices were definitely up there for food & liquor.
The festival itself was a lot of fun, always fun to watch people in their over the top outfits or walking around half naked makes for great entertainment.
Everything seems to have run smoothly If u enjoy EDM this is a great festival to check out.

Came here for EDC and it was great. Tix price was $ 125 which includes rides, water and concert.
Had to pay for drinks and food… of course.
It was an all day event which started at 1 pm & ended at 10 pm.
Parking across the street was $ 30 but you can take the 7 train which drops you off right in front.
During the concert there were a lot of people with mostly house music. Djs were great.
Lots of walking, long line for rides/​bathroom
Drinks were reasonable so I overdid it.

I’ve been to ballparks across the nation. I had high hopes for our first Mets game!
We took the express train from Manhattan and arrived fairly early. We were ushered to the Right Field entrance and waited for over 45 minutes in the slow security line. It felt like Disneyland, but not fun.
We missed the anthem, the opening pitch, and most of the 1^st inning. The security guard was strangely and uncomfortably intrusive. He checked the inside of my fiancée’s WALLET. Not normal. We’ve never experienced that before, even at an airport. The security line was very slow and inefficient.
When we finally reached the entrance, we were rudely YELLED at by the ticket staff. We were told that our tickets weren’t accepted there because they were mobile. The staff was not helpful or even a little bit sorry, which I understand is the stereotypical «New Yorker» attitude, but c’mon, we paid for our tickets.
After scuffling away, we ended up asking a nice NYC cop for help because the staff was so rude and dismissive. We walked all the way to the other side of the park, waited in line in the ticketing office, and had to pay a fee to print our our tickets.
I’ve never gone to a game and left actively rooting against the team, but thanks to this experience I now smile every time the Mets lose.

TLDR;
Pros:
— Getting to and from the game is convenient.
— The NY Police officers did a great job answering questions. Shout out to NY’s finest.
Cons:
— Overall service from the staff was unreasonably rude and unhelpful.
— Slow and inefficient entry into the park.
— Weird and intrusive security check.
— By far the worst baseball experience I’ve ever had. I now root against the team.

Saw my first Mets game at Citi Field on 4÷13÷16 against the Marlins 1:10 pm start Section 306 Seat 1. Seats were great, easy access via right field gate and escalators. Used the iPhone E wallet tickets which they scan and print you paper tickets to hang on to inside.
For an early day game you may start off in the shade for a bit if it’s not really warm out expect there to be a chill if it’s breezy. Overall great experience and the Mets won a low scoring game 2 – 1.

Citi Field — the home of the Mets.
Baseball can be fun but I don’t follow it religiously — if I had to side myself with a team it would be the Yankees (though I haven’t been to a game since the old stadium =O).
Parking is very organized, there are staff and police everywhere guiding you where to go. The 7 also stops right at the stadium which is another option if you don’t want to bother with the car.
The stadium itself is beautiful — very well kept and filled with lots of stadium stuffs. They have a lot of food choices — Shake Shack, Two Boots, sandwiches, sushi, salads — you definitely won’t go hungry. It was cold and rainy during the game so we sat in our seats for like an inning and a half then went inside to explore. I found myself in the Foxwoods Club which is right by home plate –filled with carpeted floors, comfy chairs, a number of food options, and screens to watch the game (my kind of baseball experience ;-).
Great fun overall — I would have no qualms about coming back here for a game.

Just realized. as a lifelong Mets fan who’s gone to way too many games at Shea Stadium and Citi Field, that I never actually wrote a review of this place.
Personally I like Citi Field for a variety of reasons. Yes, it’s still not quite as «homey» as Shea in many ways, but it’s still an awesome place to catch a baseball game. There’s no shortage of places to eat here and it’s been discussed in plenty of detail so I’d rather focus on the things that I personally like. which include:
— The excellent service at this stadium. The staff here is extremely friendly and do a really good job of helping fans out.
— The sight lines for the stadium are pretty decent
— The seats are relatively comfortable and spacious for the most part
— The food items are definitely solid and I like how there are lots of choices for non-​meat eaters as well
— I still love the fact it’s easy to get here via LIRR and the 7 train
— Parking is relatively easy, though of course it can get a bit crazy on busy days so be sure to get here early for games if you’re driving
— The fan shops here sell some pretty good items and prices are relatively reasonable
Of course there are still some imperfections, like how it can be a pain to get to the upper promenade levels due to the limited number of escalators and concourses in this stadium. But for the most part those issues are tolerable relative to the pluses of this lovely stadium.
Let’s go Mets!

If you ever had a chance to visit shea, it’s like night and day.
As a Yankee fan, I’m almost embarrassed to admit this is one of my two favorite parks (and Yankee Stadium is neither of them). I’ll also admit, I think I came to this stadium more times last year than I visited Yankee Stadium. The tickets are cheaper, the stadium is nicer and more welcoming, and honestly, better food options. Not to mention, the 2015 Mets were something to see.
Although I have been to Citi field a bunch of times since they opened, my sister hadn’t had the chance to go until this summer for the subway series. She was amazed at how pretty and warm the stadium was as opposed to Yankee Stadium. She can’t wait to come back!
The Shea bridge is pretty nice, and while I don’t think I would personally ever buy tickets for standing room again, I do like that you are able to buy standing room only… and the view is pretty decent to. The food options are pretty versatile with everything from shake shack to two boots to blue smoke, you can’t really go wrong. And who doesn’t love Mr. Met.
Definitely a ball park worth visiting, even if you aren’t a Met fan, or even a baseball fan. Also, if you find the Mets mickey, I’ve been looking for him.

Citi Field is a great baseball venue in Flushing. The views are fantastic from many different seating areas, and the atmosphere is electric when the Mets are on form. There is a wide variety of bars and restaurants, including Shake Shack and Nathan’s Famous. You certainly won’t go hungry or thirsty.
The Mets are also great at organising concerts and other shows on certain game nights, so that entertainment is a bonus too. Transport to the stadium is simple by regular subway. After stepping out of the station, you cannot miss it!
What Citi Field lacks compared to other fields around the country is history. It doesn’t have the character of the Red Sox or Orioles stadia. However, a night at a Mets game is a great experience, and makes Citi Field a worthy destination.

Citi field is impeccable and I usually have a wonderful time going there; however, my issue stems with customer service in relation to accessibility. My boyfriend uses a wheelchair. We were lucky enough to see our favorite team play in playoff games leading up to the World Series this year. We scored the pair off of a friend. Upon arriving at the stadium, we went to try to change our tickets to accessible seating. They tried to charge us $ 200 more simply because my boyfriend uses a chair! The manager rep at guest relations must have spawned from Satan himself. As he grew louder so did we. It was horrible. Employees not associated with guest relations actually apologized on his behalf. He honestly ruined what was supposed to be a fun night. We had already paid $ 500. Learn to carter to loyal fans’ needs! Generally everything is wonderful, but this left a horrible taste in my mouth.
Also there’s a HUGE issue with neither the subway nor LIRR being accessible. Get it together. It’s 2016!

Beautiful Field!!!
Disclaimer is that I had full access tickets. Meaning I was allowed in every bar (including the free food Hyndai Lounge) when I went. We went early to take the whole day in and even got the free giveaway that day. We watched the first half of the game and then went exploring the stadium. I am sorry to say it but this stadium is way better than Yankee. Just walking around the Stadium I felt like a kid in a candy store. I wanted to see and try it all.
It is beautiful! Everything seems and looks brand new! Each bar that we checked out — and we checked them all out — were awesome. Obviously the lower levels were more exclusive but even the upper level was cool to see. People that work there are helpful, and super friendly. It was my first time there so I needed a little help finding everything and everyone was willing to help and give us tips. Its easy to get around and up and down. Parking was a breeze without crazy traffic getting in and out. The food throughout was amazing (again ours was mainly free because of the lounge).
Take me out to the ballgame. If you have a chance to ever to a game — GO! It does not matter if you are up in the nosebleed or behind home plate — all the seats and views are awesome! Put it on your bucket list to at least go see once!!!

For my 100^th review, I thought what else could I do but venture to my home-​away-​from-​home — the (not so) new home of my beloved, currently reigning National League Champion New York Mets.
I’m kind of glad I waited to long to review Citi Field — much like discussing family, it just felt too close to home to publicly critique Citi. Like many Met fans, the transition from the admittedly somewhat outdated Shea was painful. For all its problems, Shea felt uniquely ours and, despite the former tenancy of the Jets, uniquely for baseball. In we stroll in April of 2009 to this retro-​ballpark that seemed to be modeled on Ebbets Field and pay more tribute to the Dodgers than the Mets. A place with all of these food plazas and distracting kid ballpark areas — weren’t we just here to watch baseball? (Well for most of 2009 – 2014, I suppose Met fans needed some welcome distractions.)
And those distractions are indeed impressive. Its well-​chronicled (and really not debatable) that Citi Field offers the best ballpark food out there. The Danny Meyer triumvirate of Shake Shack, Blue Smoke and El Verano Taco is justifiably the centerpiece, but let’s not forget Two Boots pizza, the Pressed gourmet Grilled Cheese Stand, Pat Lafrieda’s Steak Sandwich and the old stalwart Mama’s of Corona sandwiches. Even Mex’s Grill provides a decent burger when the Shake Shack line is too long — Keith Hernandez would never steer you wrong. The beer selection is excellent — lots of local options from Queens and Bronx Breweries, and a fine selection at the Beers of the World stand. For non-​ballpark standards, there are a solid assortment of vegetarian options and wine and drink stands. The Shea Bridge is a great stadium feature, and a fine place to meet someone and perhaps stand and watch an inning from a different vantage point. My friend swears by the mini-​Citi Field playing area for young kids that his son loves. Sure, the Mets pump in a bit too much music between innings, at bats… even pitches sometimes, but I feel like that is an unfortunate aspect of every ballpark these days.
The place where Citi really is an upgrade over Shea is in the almost uniformly excellent seating/​sightlines. Its not perfect, as my Upper Desk Left Field Promenade seats for the World Series proved, but a comfortable park with excellent seating options. The couple of times I’ve stepped foot in the clubs, they seemed nice, but that’s not really my bag. I’m here to sit outside and watch nine innings of the greatest game in the world.
Most importantly (to me), I finally got to feel the ballyard in the thrall of intense, meaningful baseball games this year. I was worried that all the bells and whistles might mean a distracted, subdued playoff crowd, but there was no need to fear… Met fans were as crazed as ever — I would guess that the reason I didn’t physically feel the stadium swaying (as I did at Shea events) comes down to better construction.
I’m not going to pretend Citi Field is unique, or the greatest ballpark out there. Let’s face it, the Camden-​style retro-​ballpark is no longer unique — it’s pretty much the norm nowadays, and unless it is perched right on a river or bay like PNC or AT&T, its not exceptionally special. But Citi is a perfectly fine, fun, lovely place to watch a game. And if you think I’m giving the Mets’ home anything less than an Amazin’ 5 stars, you are crazy.

I had so much fun during All Star in 2013. It was my first visit to Citi Field. I took tons of pictures. You need to go just to read the historical plaques around the building!
The people that work in the area love to see visitors. They take pride in the care of this facility. It is really beautiful there. I could not believe the difference in the noise level and air quality. I wandered around for a long time. I even saw a squirrel in the parking lot.
I never thought I would get there on the train. I really realized what my friends from Flushing go through when they commute daily to work!
If you get to visit take your time and soak up the history. There’s a lot of history documented all around the grounds.

I’m Angels fan till I’m gone and long buried. But even I shall admit that the Mets stadium kicks my favorite teams ass to Hell and back.
This place is the shit. So many ways in and out it makes Marylyn Chambers looks like she’s on a Mormon mission.
Expensive Bud Light, but who drinks that piss water anyway? Oh yeah, I do.

I visited Citi Field for game 4 of the 2015 World Series. This was my first time at this ball park and I became an instant fan. The Metro stop is conveniently adjacent to the park. We felt completely safe exiting the train and making the short walk to the stadium. The parking lot is right next to entrance which was an unusual surprise for me– I was really happy to have quick access to the tailgate section to visit with fans before entering the game.
They had a pop-​up Budweiser beer garden set up at the tailgate featuring DJ QuestLove of the Roots! It was free to enter and everyone received half of a hamburger for free, which my friend claimed was one of the best burgers she’s ever had.
We purchased outfield seats in section 534 from stub-​hub and were extremely pleased with the view. I have visited many MLB parks and compared to others CitiField has an excellent outfield seating area. I completely forgot we were in the «nose bleed section». I’d love to compare the outfield seat distance with that of other parks– though we were in the highest section it truly didn’t feel that way.
CitiField has an excellent sound system. We did not notice an echo and the broadcasters were heard very clear. Their jumbotron displayed a perfectly clear picture that photographed very well on camera, unlike others I’ve experienced on the west coast that produce a static-​like photo.
Go Mets!

Can’t think of a better place to review for my 100^th Unilocal Review than a place that is one of the happiest in the world for me to visit… Citi Field and the NY Mets
Just high off of a Mets win in Game 2 of the NLCS so it may seem bias but… Best ballpark in baseball. I’ve been to quite a few and there’s no place like home. Sure I miss big Shea and will always have fond memories of it (first game, etc) but Citi has it all and is absolutely the most beautiful park in baseball. Whether you’re a hardcore Mets fan, baseball fan in general making rounds across the country touring ballparks, or just someone getting dragged to a game, this is a can’t miss venue. Be sure to wear Orange and Blue and shout LET’S GO METS!!!
The recommendation is always to take the train to the game, but parking is plentiful (and expensive at $ 25) if you get there early. Fantastic food options from Shake shack to a great tacos stand. Citi has it all… And of course the best team in Major League Baseball calls it home! LGM!

I confess, I am not a baseball person (cue sound of haters). So I actually just went to my first Mets game, heck, my first MLB game. The game itself was pretty chill, but the experience of Citi Field is quite awesome.
The place is modern, clean, and really well laid out. Seats are comfortable and the open layout makes it so that you don’t have to miss anything, even when you’re up and about. Lots and lots of bathrooms, no worries about long lines here. And the food options are incredible. Shack Shack, Nathan’s, Pat LeFrieda, Two Boots, to name a few. And yes I braved the Shake Shack line, and yes it was one hell of a wait, even before the rush. Also got my picture taken with Mr. Met. All in all, a great time!

Citi Field is a great stadium that offers easy access by the LIRR or the 7 subway train.
I went here for a Mets game and it was a little empty due to the wheather but I had great seats and the concessions stands here are awesome and filled with unique vendors: Shake Shack, Nathans Franks, Two boots Pizza etc… its great to see a flavor of NYC at the game.
Citi Field is always a great time to grab a few beers some over priced food and relax with friends to watch some baseball.

Beautiful stadium. Good selection of food though most have very long lines :-/​. Came here for the Zac Brown Concert. It was an amazing show and awesome seats. I would def come back for other concerts here.

In honor of my New York Mets making it to the playoffs this year, I will dedicate review #1600 to Citi Field. I’ve been many times before, and besides the location, it’s a wonderful ballpark.
Everything feels so modern, which was a HUGE upgrade compared to Shea. Still love you though, Shea.
The food is probably the biggest advantage Citi Field has over that other baseball stadium in New York. Shake Shack! Pat LaFrieda steaks! Sausage and peppers! Nathans! Oh, there’s so much delicious smelling food. If you get there early, the Shake Shack line will take less than half an hour. It’s overpriced, but hey, doesn’t get more New York than eating a Shack burger while watching the Mets.
For those of you who had never been to a Shea Stadium game, you don’t know how good you have it now. The seats at Citi Field are so much better, both in terms of comfort and visibility. I’m convinced there’s no bad seat at Citi Field. I’ve sat in the upper deck in right field, I’ve sat right on the left filed foul line, and all over. You can see the action everywhere. They really built this park for a better experience.
So bring the kids, bring some friends, bring anyone. Meet Mr. Met. Watch the Metropolitans dominate through the postseason (fingers crossed), and enjoy a wonderful slice of Americana!

Parking was insane. My friend and his partener work for NJ police department and they normally have parking for us, but the NYC said that the lost was full two hours before we got there…
The parking was down the woods, along the road in queens we go, widening around and then we arrived to a lot, with HORRIBLE directions to THREE large hills (the women did warn us), so we bottomed out the charger (NOT OK). We then found a spot!!! Do you think ANYONE laid their crumbs out to find their way back down this road. We didn’t care we wanted to parked! When we arrived to we say from a distance a shuttle and everyone running towards it. All I could think about was getting there, but did anyone get the lot we came out of… oh my, I wish I was a little tipsy for all this: thoughts going through my head, as I was catching my breath from the «little» run…
We arrived on the bus to drop us off adding 10 more mins to our lateness. I mean at this point we are 2 hours late… we got there at the bottom of the 4^th inning, was this worth it? I will never know. I forgot a jacket (BC it was sooo deep in the backpack-​it wasn’t worth it, or was it) to realize it was a cold evening and our seats were «box» seating, but was open so much that the wind came soooo intensively. I had to get some hot chocolate for $ 5.00 (large), which wasn’t that bad! I started drinking and suddenly I could feel my few fingers getting their warmth back in.
Then it started… The Mets were getting stomped by the Yankees. Oh My Word. I could see my friend loosing color in his face and very anger. Bases are loaded and some guy on the Yankees (I follow football NOT baseball) hit a pop fly in the sky and out of the field. There goes 4 more points added to the score board! Then again and again and finally the score was 11 to 1 (I believe), we all were soo cold, but knew we had all this walking to do, possibly running to do BEFORE we get in the car with heat we MIGHT be fine. So needless to say it was a great night, but parking sucks and the system doesn’t make sense, and WHY did we drive your asking? We drove BC the NJ transportation FROM Queens would’ve been worse.
My favorite part of the evening was the game traffic, the Italian festival traffic, and one lane in the Holland tunnel open (1 hour from West Village area to the end of the Holland tunnel). The evening really did suck, but it was spent with GREAT people. My attitude was the worst and I do apologize if I was a little rude. I just wish I would’ve known all this before hand. I also CAN’T stand drunk people and repeating myself, and 80% of the time I’m correct and normally can justify it, but I refuse to with a drunk person!

Loudest baseball park I have ever been to and I have been to about a dozen all over the country. Music and speakers practically blew out my ear drums… why?! Why so freaking loud? Bring ear plugs and expect to not be able to carry a conversation with the person sitting next to you.
Beautiful stadium though. Nice selection of food and beverages. But my gawd it was uncomfortably loud for most of the game… Which we won by the way. Mets in first place in August!
Cheers and people having fun type of noise is not what I’m talking about here. Please please please turn it down a notch Citi and STOP YELLING AT YOUR FANS!

I remember when i was a kid and i used to go to shea stadium and now that it has become Citi field, the place still has a touch of the past except the makeover puts you in the front seat of the action. My wife got a set of 4 tickets in 312 and i really enjoyes the field and the overall view from where i was seated. The food also made a didference as we had a choice of italian subs, burgers and BBQ. The beer was certainly overpriced but i guess it is expected of a venue such as citi field to overprice alcohol.
My daughter really enjoyed herself and taking a pair of binoculars made the experience only better.

What can I say? I love the Mets and I love this field. Great visibility from every seat I’ve been at. Can’t say enough about the food selection.
I do have to admit I don’t have too many stadiums to compare it to. It’s my life dream to travel the United States and visit very baseball stadium but my wife seems hardly enthusiastic about that. I will say the new yankees stadium is cold and stuffy compared to citi field. I can objectively say food and craft beers are far superior at citi field.
So on to the good stuff. Head to left field early because the Shake shack line is long. There is a nice craft beer stand with bottles of some local and craft domestic beers. Kona Longboard from Hawaii is a nice one. Wish they could bring in a few more local favs on tap, such as six point or green point. The beer movement is here! so let’s get to it citi field!
Maybe my wife prefers more my other life long dream of getting season tickets ;)

I received two passes to the Party City Deck for the Mets vs. Blue Jays game from a collegue. I haven’t visited Citi Field since the stadium was renovated. I think the stadium looks a lot better and they’ve improved greatly in terms of ease of access and the general layout.
The lines getting in went quickly eventhough we had bags to be inspected. All of the guest services employees were very knowledgeable and helpful in directing us to find our seats. As we walked around we noticed there were a bunch of cool restaurant’s like Shake Shack.
The Party City deck was great. The view was pretty awesome eventhough I am not really into sports and barely had a clue what was going on. I hung out with some co-​workers and enjoyed free beers which are included in admission with wristband. They had Goose Island IPA, Budweiser, and Bud Light available along with an assortment of soda’s like Pepsi, Iced Tea, and Sierra Mist. The bartender literally asked me for ID everytime which was kind of annoying but apparently they have alchohol compliance officers on site making sure it’s being done. Giving out an additional 21+ wrist band after checking ID the first time would certainly make matters much simpler.
Food was also included and I was expecting it to be subpar but honestly it wasn’t half bad in terms of fast food/​game food. We had Brooklyn Burgers, Nathan’s hot dog, and chicken tenders. The guys serving the food were super friendly too. They made sure everyone was taken care of and didn’t mind giving out more than one item at a time. We also grabbed a bunch of peanuts and cracker jacks but were too full too eat them so we put them away for later. I didn’t have a chance to try the pretzels or cookies as they weren’t being offered during the duration of my visit or may be they just ran out by the time they arrived to the side we were sitting on.
The seating was comfortable and cushioned in the first row and the second row had stools and an eating area which was on a slightly higher tier. Some of the areas walking through the stadium were treacherously slippery after the rain. Even though I was wearing sneakers I would still experience the occasional slip when walking over a smooth surface especially near the bridge.
I still had a decent time hanging out as a spectator and the overall experience was enjoyable. The conditions for attending the game were ideal and I would likely return again if I was into baseball.

It’s Friday, I just finished work, and ready to go to Citi Field. Since being built several years now, it’s a real pleasure seeing Citi Field.
I was pretty surprised at how kept it is, the many meal options. You have Blue Smoke, Shake Shack and other Stations. We settled for Blue Smoke, just because Shake Shack’s line was horrendous. I sunk my teeth in an extremely tasty Grilled Chicken Sandwich.
We met with friends who treated us to a gorgeous and very humid evening. We had tickets for The Promenade Club and were closed to almost everything. still a great view!
I liked that Citi Field is maintained-​and for the most part, clean.
I had an awesome time (hadn’t been to a baseball game in years). Fortunately the Mets won tonight.
Like they say,“everything must come to an end”, then comes the part where you have to trek out of the parking lot (safely).
Exiting was a freaking nightmare– there’s absolutely no order. People are coming from all angles trying to head out– there’s no designated route. It was chaotic and just wished that the parking lot (especially heading out after a game and jumping into either The Triboro or Grand a Central Pkwy would be a breeze) was easy to navigate out of.

I love this stadium. You can walk around the park and never miss anything either via looking at the field or the many TV’s everywhere at the concession stands or audio in the bathrooms. Gates open 2 hours before the game, though the gates at the back of the stadium opened 2.5 hours before. You can bring large bags into the stadium with drinks/​food if you wish, which I think is great because the prices in the stadium are crazy high. (beer will run you $ 12) yikes!
Food lines are crazy long (Shake Shack) others are ok. Plenty bathrooms are a plus too!
