Fred Klatz

I had 2 drum teachers before Mr. Klatz and both of them were unable to teach me how to read drum notation. I later learned that they were friends and decided to both use the identical curriculum. I quit the second teacher in disgust after he yelled and screamed at me claiming I was not practicing. I was at it so many hours a day it was affecting my marriage. The very first lesson with Fred Klatz he identified the problem. My previous teacher who had a PHD in percussion was telling me to ignore the rests!!! «You don’t play them so why should you read or count them. In a very short 2 weeks I was reading on my own and applying what MR. Klatz was teaching me on the pads to the set. The drums became fun to learn not a chore. This man is a real pro and tailors his teaching to your style of learning. He is the author of the drum book «on time» which can be applied to any style of music. He is the real deal and YES! He can play!
