Ganesh Temple

Beautiful Mandir, very nice and neat and well maintained. Great place to go and see, the prayers are very nice. Jai Ganpati Deva.

I came to visit this temple as part of a school project, but I really enjoyed my experience here.
The people here are all very friendly. I was clearly not part of the Hindu tradition and just walked around the temple for the most part. One man came up to me and asked if I had any questions and was very open to answering any I had. He also showed me around to some of the back parts of the temple where personal rituals could be performed.
The inside of the temple was very beautifully decorated. As mentioned before there were larger statues for the larger gods and smaller ones for the devatas (smaller deities) adorning the sides. It’s peaceful despite it not being silent. They have ritual pujas everyday, and I believe they list which ones they will do on their website. It is a very open temple with people coming and going throughout the day. They are very open to visitors and I would suggest coming here if you were interested in learning more about the religion!

This temple is clean, pretty n very nicely maintained. The place of adoration has beautiful statues of Lord Ganesha and other Hindu gods n goddesses. The priests are also quite polite n humble. I love to visit this temple.

Magical peaceful place.

15 miles west of here people are arriving by the tens of thousands to see Times Square, that mile or something-​or-​rather of concrete and steel phoniness that passes as something great to visit. The mother church of marketing, and they’re coming in droves.
No thanks.
Rather visit here instead, but I’d guess most people in the region never will. I won’t pretend to grasp everything important about this remote spot of worship in Queens, but it’s worth your visit. Want to get out of the country in a flash? Visit this temple. Came here with a friend and even dined in their basement «canteen» on some spectacular dosa in a sauce with a bit of heat and remote hints of coconut. Lovely.
I visited a lot of cool spots today on this day devoted to fun and food tourism. Many of those are already fading away in my mind but I doubt I’ll forget this spot. Wait, I could be in Times Square in 10 minutes on the #7 train. Nah.

I haven’t been to many Hindu Temples but this place is beautiful. I came here for my friends’ Upanayana. The hallway to the entrance is beautiful and the statues inside the temple is even more spectacular. Unfortunately, they do not allow photography inside the temple. However, I would recommend just coming here to visit. Anyone can enter, just be respectful and you won’t have any problems. I did have a chance to try their mango lassi and it’s really good. There’s milk, yogurt, and mango but not enough mango.
Don’t forget to take off your shoes before you enter!

They are working hard at finishing that façade for the outside. It is really starting to look like a temple from India with the statues and stone. They have coconuts to break and offer up. There are rites being done because its not a tourist trap. It is real temple. It is medium sized; it isn’t giant or large. But, for New York City, you can’t have a giant place even in Queens. It is a good place to visit. Donate a dollar or buy things in the canteen!

Thi is a Hindu temple in Flushing, New York locate in a highly Asian population and some Indian.
The temple is really nice to visit and get a perspective of the Hindu religion. There is some rules like no shoes or photographs or even food or drinks.
The inside has some really cool statue inside what look to be cages made out of bricks and the inside the different gods sit in a chair with some gold in the back and there is a basket were people can take things to offer to the gods.
