Wanted to check this out due to all the raving about the salted cheese. I ordered a cold green tea salted cheese $ 3.50. Not bad for the price. After placing your order they hand you a number token with a lemon logo. Pretty cute. The wait for it was pretty long for my drink. When I finally got it I was fairly disappointed. All it was just frothed cream with sea salt and some matcha sprinkled on top. Not sure why they even called it salted cheese. The green tea itself was good and refreshing though.

I really think this chain would do even better A. by re-branding their(still-popular) salted cheese and B. expanding in NYC like other tea companies. That said, the lemons to pick up are a nice touch and the drink really is uniquely tasty.

Only tried one thing here — the salted cheese tea. Usually I get the salted cheese with black tea and occasionally I’ve had the green tea. Definitely a must try for anyone, you might be hesitant at first but you will you have no regrets after! BTW — It is located in the new york food court.

I usually get the green tea with rock salt and cheese, but the last time I got it, it wasn’t sweet. So I opted for my usual green milk tea, large; $ 4.25. It’s was perfectly sweetened and creamy without overpowering the taste of the tea. Most places that I’ve tried tend skimp on at least one of the 3 ingredients(sugar, milk, and tea) that it always feels like it’s missing something. Like they put so much sugar and milk, that it just tastes like sweet milk. This place got the formula just right. My only complaint was that it took a really long time for them to make my drink and it wasn’t even busy. There were 3 workers; one on the register and 2 in the back station, but only one was making the tea and really taking his time too.

Salted Cheese with Sweet Drinks? Happy Lemon did it really well. My Red Tea with Salted Cheese($ 3.50) was not really what I expected as I am not really a cheese person. But it is really a layer of frothy cream on top and not cheesy at all. The branding and the logo are really cute and energetic without being too cheesy. I guess I must have really enjoyed my drink. Located inside New York Food Court can be pretty busy on the weekend but worth the wait.

3.5÷5 The only franchise in Flushing that offers a series of Salted Cheese drinks. Photos of and reviews of such a novelty product perked my curiosity that I just had to(finally!) try it. The salted cheese actually does not taste like actual cheese, but tasted like the whipped cream frosting you’d normally find on cakes from Chinese bakeries. I wasn’t really a fan of the drink and gave it away to my friend who liked it. The drink options here are limited, and it’s hard to tell which drinks taste good(I’m sure that in this case, people can argue that all the drinks are good, but I still like to be skeptical). Very cute storefront and mascot, though. On a side note, Happy Lemon claims to be the first bubble tea joint to be «floated» on some kind of stock exchange, but no results from Google…

Always make it a priority to get bubble tea from here when I’m in the area! I love this place, it’s just so cute with the little lemon head girl mascot on their cups and even on the coin token they give you with your order number. The drinks here are better quality than almost all the other tea places, I would say about the same caliber as Ten Ren. Try their lemon flavored teas, it’s what they’re known for!(hence the name, Happy Lemon). They also have some weird flavors, like their Salted Cheese series which I still haven’t worked up the taste muscles to try. Of course, they also have your standard flavors like Taro, Matcha, and Jasmine. There’s also a Cookies & Crème flavor in which they use real Oreos to make. Sometimes they also offer promotions. For example, around Lunar New Year they were offering gifts with purchase. With a $ 5 purchase, you get a free set of red envelopes. With $ 10 purchase, you can buy a mug for $ 5(usually $ 10) and so on so forth. Try if you’re in the area, you’ll love it!

Flushing around in Queens we stopped by this place for a drank. Kind of surprised they didn’t have some of the drinks on their menu. The salted cheese freaked my out so I order a beginner Mango Yakult Smoothie. It was very sweet and had pieces of mango with every sip. Really hit the spot after our lunch marathon. I tried the salted cheese and it reminded me of the cheese filled danish from Entenmann’s. Pretty cool spot. Definitely worth another trip on the 7.

Inside the New York food court! My go to drink here is the Mango Matcha Latte, which essentially is a smoothie. Now I know this place is known for its lemon on lemon flavors everywhere throughout the menu, and its salted cheese series, but I will try them sooner or later. I’ve always been a fan of their ordering system too, as you’re given a plastic lemon number and they call it out when your drink is ready. Way better than trying to understand Chinese call outs at other bubble tea places. A high 4 stars for now until I try more of their drinks.

My new favorite tea spot in Flushing! Lines are generally long to order because it’s the most popular tea stall inside the New York Mall food court, but it’s worth the wait! Put your order in first and then go find your food since the drinks take a while to complete. I tried the cold handcrafted lemon black tea, which was loaded with real lemons and moderate tea after taste. The iced version only comes in large at a steep price of $ 5.25. It was however extremely refreshing and delicious! I also tried the cold salted cheese black tea which was interesting, but not as good since it’s very frothy with less of a tea taste. Happy Lemon also offers classic drinks like milk teas, taro drinks and slushies, but I highly recommend their specialty lemon drinks. It’s surely their namesake!

I think I found my favorite tea spot! I loved their drink so much that I had it twice in one day! I heard about the tea with salted cheese and I had to try it. Honestly, I was pretty skeptical at first but I was not disappointed. I ordered the green tea with salted cheese($ 3.50). The drink was green tea topped with a layer of the salted cheese on top. Salted cheese is a bit of a bad description. The salted cheese is more like a heavy cream with some sea salt sprinkled in. The combination is heavenly. This drink tastes like the teas with sea salt foam caps from other Asian tea chains. Not only was the drink delicious, but the logo is so cute. They give you a little plastic number on their logo, and I wish I could keep it. They also sell products with their logo on them. I will definitely be back to try more of their drinks!

First time trying. It was good. Ordered the mango lemon slush. A little bit too sweet for me. But loved the mango bits in the drink. Similar to aloe Vera. I will come back to try the bubble tea next time. Wish they had a location in Manhattan Chinatown. Too far to go to flushing for it. I really like the lemon head girl logo. So cute. The designs for the cups are adorable. Everyone should go try when your at Flushing Queens.

Tasty drinks! Happy Lemon is located inside the new New York Food Court in Flushing where you can also find other food stalls that are very similar to the ones in the New World Mall food court. I got the Mango lemon slushie for $ 4.50 and it was very refreshing! It had mango chunks in it that are reminiscent of the jelly found in aloe vera drinks. The drink also had a nice sour lemony taste that was well balanced by the sweetness of the mango taste. I also got to try a sip of my friend’s green tea with rock salted cheese and I found it to be very delicious. Rock salted cheese may sound weird but it actually had a very unique taste that I enjoyed. I would recommend getting this one if you’re more of the adventurous type and prefer drinks that are less sweet. Overall, very innovative and tasty drinks that definitely deserve a try!

Came here with a friend and I ordered the green tea with the salted cheese. The tea itself wasn’t bad as it already came slightly sweetened. The salted cheese was milky, buttery and salty. I look forward to trying their other drinks as they also offer a variety of teas and juices. Toppings that complement the drinks are also sold for $ 0.50 each. The aloe that I had wasn’t bad and went well with the green tea. Staff was friendly and courteous. Would I come back? Sure!

If you like lemons, come here. Jasmine lemon slushy is my favorite. It’s a bit on the lemony sour side though. If you’re looking for something more sweet, try the mango lemon slushy, which has more of a mango taste than lemon.

Not your normal bubble tea shop! I’d like to think they are more innovative with their menu choices incorporating lemon, cocoa, matcha and rock salt cheese?! First off if you haven’t tried their lemon series, you must give it a shot! It is so refreshing and packed with flavor. I’ve tried both the lemon pineapple and lemon mango slush. Both won my heart over. They have the cutest lemon keychains and stickers! I wish they would give it out as a reward. And they really need to give out drink punch cards. That would be super nice please :) I need to make a visit back and try all the matcha and rock salt cheese stuff. Oh If you’re looking for regular milk tea, you’re in good hands here.

The rock salted cheese series is an awful lot like the Gong Cha mustache milk foam series. but it’s better! Maybe it’s the whole calling it salted cheese thing. But it does taste much saltier than Gong Cha’s to me, which makes the tea part even sweeter. I don’t know how the ridiculous idea of putting salty cream on sweet tea started, but it’s ingenious to my taste buds. I really like the cute plastic number pieces they give out even though it’s not practical at all in a crowded food court. It’s just an another thing to hold onto in addition to your numberless receipt. It doesn’t even light up…

My dear Happy Lemon~ Before getting to the drinks, I just want to note several things that set them apart from other similar businesses… — Social media maintenance: very interactive on Facebook. They make you feel like more than just a customer, and that you’re commenting on a human being, not just a biz entity. — Gift shop(or window, in this case): I love and hate this because they’ve been teasing us with all the goodies, but they haven’t been on sale for MONTHS! Supposedly they’re getting more stock, so in the mean time, you can only ogle the cute(and decent quality) souvenirs. — Spit-guard: I don’t have the official term for these things, but they wear ‘em around the chin area to prevent saliva flying into your beverage during preparations! How«Asia» is this~ ^_^ I’ve exhausted myself raving about all these things, so I’ll just get to the point on one drink specifically — the cheesey milk foam. Sooo many bubble tea joints out there offer this, and under the traditional 奶蓋 or mont-blanc section, BUT Happy Lemon has the most legit cream of all. Since Flushing lost cream tea extraordinaire, ShareTea, many moons ago, I was elated to see Happy Lemon present non-drippy fresh cream back to the neighborhood. Viva Happy Lemon!

New bubble tea shop. New Flushing Mall. MUST…TRY…NOW. Try I did except that they ran out of the flavor that I came here for which was the Mango Lemon Slushy which I heard has real mango slices in it. That is where I docked the star. How dare you run out of your best selling bubble tea before I arrive. HOW…DARE…YOU. This place is CLEAN. Well so is the rest of the mall, for now at least. The girl that was taking the bubble tea orders and making them wore this mouth guard that straps onto your chin to prevent spit from getting into your drinks or food. I am in love. Thoughtfulness aside, The prices are standard $ 4.00-$ 5.00 per bubble tea depending on what you want in the tea and size of the bubble tea. I had to go with their second choice or rather my second choice which was the Grapefruit Lemon Slushy. Real strong lemon flavor which I liked and grapefruit jelly. There were even real grapefruit slices in the drink. What is there not to love about this. When you order they give you this little lemon shaped plastic icon with a number on it and you return it when you go pick up your order. I think just having the number on the receipt works better but this is a minor criticism. I think I found my new bubble tea spot. WIN. FAN. SLURP.
