This place is now a Rainbow but the interior is still the same. There’s a bunch of cute items but I can’t get over the fact that it’s so cramp. There’s only 1 walkway & you have to squeeze yourself between each rack if you want to look at clothes on the sides. The layout of the store is just terrible. There’s a room for try one & it’s lock so when my mom asked if she can try on the worker said she couldn’t. On top of this rainbow only allows returns in 7 days & it has to be store credit.

Location is key and this spot is immersed in the craziness of Main st. The store is fairly large and has a ton of trendy items for today’s fashionista, and at a decent price. I’ve been shopping around for a birthday outfit and this place gave me tons of options. From african inspired short shorts to long, flowy white maxis they have a great selection. Their $ 9.95 sales rack has some good finds too, I even saw a unique bodycon dress but it was too small. I would return

Just left this store with three pairs of shorts and two shirts for $ 79. I’m actually shocked because I’ve lived near Main Street my whole life and never got the urge of walking in– this store can be a hit or miss because most things are either too printed, too tight, or too short. This is a good place if you need an inexpensive going out outfit for the same night. The fitting room is one big area which everyone shares– perfect place to get over any feelings of self consciousness. I’m very satisfied with my experience here and will definitely be coming back. Keep in mind that you do have to search for good pieces, being that the store is cramped with racks left and right.

I actually went to this location because I missed the one in Brooklyn and it was near my school. It was okay until I decided to head out and my school bag beeped. I don’t know what I was expecting but it was not someone giving my bag a cavity search. The security guard literally took everything single thing out of my bag and then when he found out it was a DVD soft censor he gave me a feigned face of surprise. «oh I’m sorry…» no you’re not. Apparently when I started working retail that is the first thing you are not supposed to do. Ever. Was I humiliated? No, but I can imagine that someone would be. How rude. Go back? Absolutely not. No thank you.

Joyce Leslie! Ahh… where do i begin? I’m happy to see you still exist, seeing how Flushing has transformed tremendously over the past decade. Seeing your existence, makes me smile. The dressing room still kind of sucks. One big dressing room with no borders. Really? Cute clothes, inexpensive, and great gift finds. Shoes selections are limited.

Oh Joyce Leslie where do I begin? Pros: Sometimes cute, cheap clothing. Cons: Everything is squished together so people are constantly bumping into each other. There is way too much tacky to choose from. I can get cheaper accessories at H&M or Forever 21. The dressing room is one huge room with mirrors and hooks– awwwkward. And your employees are space cadets. Sorry… you have more cons.

The way they advertise their clothing in front of the store is always the reason why I even enter this store. It looks really nice, but their fashion statement isn’t that great. Everytime they have clearance, the clothing on it are pretty cruddy. Would I say this place is cheap? I suppose. I like the way they organize the clothing by color. You can go straight to the section with your favorite color.(It doesnt mean it only contain that color in that section.) Most of the clothing are very flashy with skin and some are just very cute. I like it, but they don’t always have what I want. Only thing I don’t like is the dressing room. Its all opened with no doors. Just you with the mirrors surrounding you and the open space. It would be nice for people to have some privacy when changing. Not everyone wants to look at another girl’s undergarments and not everyone want to show their undergarment to others. Its like the locker room’s during highschool.

Before Forever21 and Charlotte Russe, Flushing had Joyce Leslie. I’ve gone there to get dresses, pajamas, sexy underwear, accessories… You name, I’ve gotten it– both for myself and for the ladies as Christmas/holiday and birthday gifts. The fact it’s still here after so many years is a testament to their business. I find their jewelry, in particular(especially their earrings) does not tarnish after so many wears. Best of all, their clothes actually fit me, and it serves the job. Don’t come in here expecting brand-name labels nor for their clothes to last forever, as the styles they sell are very much in the now and present. As other reviewers stated, their fitting room is an exhibitionist’s free-for-all and the layout is a bit whack, but when you find what you want, it won’t matter in the end.

wow this place is STILL there? cheap clothes, definitely cheap. With that said you get what you pay for. Its like a cheaper version of forever 21 if that were possible, material wise. Its always a mess in there, I don’t know what the staff is doing, its crowded the way everything is set up. Their layout is strange in that you’ll always bump into something. Dressing room is communal. Its a giant room with mirrors, don’t you just love that? Yes ladies, no time for shame, just let it all hang out, and damn some ladies just let everything hang out. You’d be surprised how many women don’t wear bra’s especially at their age you’d think they need the support!

Very big! Very cheap! Large selection… where eveningwear, intimates, jewelry, jeans, skirts, leather pants coexist in harmony. There is something for everyone in here. I think the sizing is in juniors… but its harder to find smaller sizes sometimes.
