Cash only. Pricey but delicious. Pretty much the only restaurant of its kind in Flushing, that I could find at least. Took several tries to get the cashier to notice me as I do not speak Spanish but afterwards she was very nice.

One of the only Latin restaurants on Main Street. the food is delicious but the service is poor. If you do not speak Spanish you will have to ask for an order a few times.

The soups here are awesome, and I like most of their desserts. However, the empanadas and roasted chicken are less tasty. Prices and services are good. The best choice in Flushing downtown besides Asian food.

The food is okay. I like their spinach empanadas and mofongo. I’ve noticed that most people go for the roasted chicken. I mainly go for the pastries. Good bread pudding, cheesecake, carrot cake and delicious Colombian bread:)

Simple bakery items are good. The prepared food is mediocre at best. Had the mofongo and it was overpriced and not very tasty.

I went in for empanadas and they were stale and super dry. Man! I really wanted to love this place. I hate to beat on the underdog, considering Latin Bakery is the lone non-​Asian establishment in a sea of… Asian establishments (I call it the Chinatown Effect, sorry Little Italy).

It is funny to find a Colombian Bakery, surrounded by Chinese restaurants in the middle of downtown Flushing, NY. The pan con queso offered at this bakery is sooooo good especially early in the morning when they are just out of the oven. I usually buy the big loaf of pan con queso, but they also have small rolls. The empanadas de carne (beef) are delicious. I have not found a place that has as flavorful empanadas as this one. I love their salsa as well. It gives the empanadas a little kick. The other pastries are very good, but I still have to try a few others. This bakery also offers Colombian breakfast platters, which I still have to try. I have tried their lunch platters which are decent and very affordable. They give you very large portions! Next time you are around Flushing and want to try something other than Chinese foods, this is a great place to visit.

I never thought I’d say this but I don’t love Latin Bakery anymore.
The awning out front SAYS Colombian and they still have the bakery portion which is for the most part Colombian but they have expanded their food offerings to now tacos and mofongo.
Now, I LIKE tacos and I like mofongo… but NOT from a place that bills itself as Colombian. Yes this is national pride that is getting in the way but I’ve tried some of the new additions to the menu and I’m NOT feeling them. If I want tacos, I’ll walk down Roosevelt to 111^th or 103^rd to a truck. If I want mofongo I’ll head to either Spanish Harlem or the Bronx.
I’ll continue to come here for a café con leche and pan de yuca and MAYBE a ½ roasted chicken but if I have a hankering for local Colombian food that’s not homemade, I’ve defected to my local outpost of El Palacio de Las Empanadas/​Burger Express, on College Point Blvd btwn Sanford and Maple.
Sad to say yet so true.

Randomly plopped in the middle of Main Street, Flushing and surrounded by Chinese people, this Mexican bakery is quite an outlier.
Being adventurous foodie, I decided to step it and hold my ground despite the glares by a room filled by non-​Asians… Well you guessed it, Hispanic people.
Avoiding the embarrassment of slaughtering the Spanish language, despite taking it for almost a decade, I ordered an empanada that was sitting at the window. For $ 1.30, it was quite good deal. However, biting into it, the chicken inside was dry as hell and quite bland. I would say it’s better than a McDonalds Snack Wrap, but that’s a standard you should live by.

i like the cheese bread. i had the sopa de vegetable w/​beef. this is comparison to filipino version of beef stew soup. it’s worth it for $ 3.25 a small bowl. you don’t know what you missing when you live in nyc and you don’t go around and try new stuffs. this is the best way to experience all about nyc. look around you — there is small businesses that got talent.

this was a great place when i first went there. they gave me alot of food for a great price and they didnt skip on taste. however, i’ve went back a few times and every time i seem to dislike it more and more. i just had 2 lunches today from there lunch menu which were ¼ chicken and tilapia with rice, beans and salad. the waiter did not even ask if i wanted soup and only gave me beans. i remembered the first i went there they gave me a choice of soup or beans. the salad i had was the most disgusting i’ve ever tasted. the cucumbers did not taste like it was washed at all. the tilapia was so fried that it had no taste. this time they at least gave me a good portion of food. last time i felt like they skipped on my portion for the lunch special.

Mhmm the empanadas are to DIE for! (con la salsa!) Yummy soup too. I don’t like the chicharron… I’ve definitely had better (it’s not crunchy enough). The only dessert of theirs I’ve tried is the bread pudding and it is SO GOOD. The empanadas + bread pudding are what keep me coming back.
Prices are great and they have a couple of tables so eating in is an option although I usually take it to go. If you’re in the neighborhood definitely stop by.
