I used to order through flushing , they arent there anymore. I will miss them terribly. When you call the restaurant directly the service is terrible.

The food gets a 5 out of 5 from me, I gave it a 4 because I don’t like their website used to place an order. Also, I believe it’s the owner who insists that the delivery driver sees my physical credit card as verification every time I place I order(Even after 20+ orders). I share the card with a family member depending on who is going out, so if I don’t have it on me, I can’t place an order which is fairly annoying. While I don’t expect them to, it’d be nice if they listed their restaurant on GrubHub. Issues aside, I love the food. Tex Mex Chili Tacos, Chicken Quesadilla and Tex Mex Quesadilla are my three favorite items on the menu and what I usually stick to.

The food is alright but overpriced. It’s just that there is no decent Tex mex around here so they get away with charging 9 dollars for a plate of rice beans and meat!

Forget that combo plate stuff. Get the beef stew with Mexican rice, the black or pinto bean tacos(soft), a shrimp burrito or shrimp nachos with lots of jalapenos(or plain nachos), and use that hot sauce they give you. It’s fantastic stuff. It may be Mexican fast food, but it’s great stuff. Get a Jarritos to top it off. Never go to Chipotle ever again. Oh, you can get delivery if you order through .

This is my go to Mexican spot when Im at work and need a quick lunch. I always get #58, the chicken fajita plate. Grilled chicken, black beans, onions, peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, salsa, sour cream, guacamole and 2 freshly made torillas for $ 12! I think that’s a little pricey for lunch but maybe I’m just cheap lol! They give you a good amount of food though, enough for 2 people or one greedy ass person(Me!!). The chicken is always seasoned well and never dry. The onions, peppers and guacamole are really good. The meal is always enjoyable.

The food is great but the customer services is awful. I have ordered from there 2 times and the 2nd time was the worse. i call in to get a delivery and ended up having to pick up the food. I called the order in at 7:30 and was called back and told that there was an hour and a half wait to get the food. that was horrible and a lie. I get to pick up my food and the delivery person was in the back doing nothing. I was so upset and to make matters worse the owner starts inspecting the money i paid him with like if i just printed it. Its a shame that the personnel there is very rude and they have no people skills they would of had a great customer.

There aren’t many good takeout options in this neighborhood. Tried this place and really enjoyed it. Good food and fair prices.

Pretty good Mexican food. Made by Asians but who’s complaining. Not expensive and decent portions. What else can u ask for in the food wasteland that is college point

I work in College Point and I was very eager to try this place because there aren’t a lot of options for Mexican food around here. My first few experiences at Mexican Trail were okay. The food was passable for something that’s meant to be cheap and easy. Nothing on the menu really stood out as particularly good. I didn’t like the fact that they deep fry all of their shrimp in a super thick oily batter. The chicken is usually dry and flavorless. The last few visits have been nothing short of a disaster. The customer service has gone downhill severely. The man behind the counter can have a bit of an attitude. My final straw was when I picked up a take-out order and found a long straight hair in the middle of my dish. I nearly threw up. I’m never going back again. It’s just not worth getting subpar food from a restaurant that’s not keen on service or cleanliness.

I ordered lunch here one day when I was in the mood for a shrimp toastada salad. It came out fairly good, was exactly what I wanted and I had no complaints. I have ordered this same salad from a similar establishment for twice the price. Therefore as it relates to price point, this place is rather inexpensive.

I was skeptical on ordering anything here at first because its an Asian owned Mexican restaurant and usually things don’t come out right because they’re not authentic. For almost two years, I finally took the courage to finally order from here. I came downstairs after shopping in the supermarket, I decided to order a Chicken Taco, soft shell. First off, I wasn’t expecting anything wow or fancy, in fact I was expecting those dollarish tacos from taco bell where you get dried shredded chicken breast meat. It’s not cheap for a regular chicken taco with lettuce tomato and cheese. Came out to around $ 3.50. Kind of expensive but at the same time still wasn’t expecting anything great coming from a store like this, empty seats and tables. Here’s the wow factor, after the guy took my order, a woman was already working on the grill. They have their own taco tortilla maker. I saw my taco being compressed from a piece of dough before my eyes. Then they placed it on the grill. Within three minutes, my taco was ready packed in a bag ready to go. When I got home my taco was still warm. It was worth every bite. Their taco definitely blew me away. The chicken was grilled to perfection served on fresh lettuce and melted cheese. The soft shell did not have too much of the doughy taste from the soft shell tacos you get at fast chain restaurants. I will definitely come back and order other things.

I LOVETHISPLACE! Ever since we moved away from College Point, I always beg my boyfriend to take me back here for the steak fajitas, which are some of the best I have had. The ‘meal’ fajita option(versus the fajita wrap) are enough to feed both of us, as long as we order extra tortillas, which are freshly made. Don’t be fooled by the Asian appearance of the workers, the cook is from Colombia and the owner was born and raised in New York.

Stick to the combination platters. It comes with flavorful rice beans and veggies. It’s pretty darn good… I’ve tried the steak chimichanga which was a HUGE disappointment(comes out soggy from the cheese), shrimp soft taco(shrimp was soggy from the batter they used), chicken wings are soggy and taste weird! Just stick to the combinations and u will like this place

The food is good. I had the steak chimmichanga and its one of the better than any other fast food Mexican I have had before. My wife enjoyed her chicken burrito. Parking was okay and the price was good. I guess only complaint is that my fork melted from the heat of the fresh food and the knife broke while I cut. Cheap cutlery is a no-no. I doubt they want to deal with someone who gets a chunk of plastic broken into their food or a melted fork to leave a trace in food. Spend the extra $ 5 and buy the higher quality stuff.

Love the food here! My favorite is the sweet wings, that sauce is amazing. I even got a cup of that sweet sauce for a cheeseburger I ordered too! There food is great and they can change anything you order to your custom liking. This place is way greater than it seems and I love it!

Way to turn a paradigm on its ears, Mexican Trail! Everywhere I’ve lived, one thing has been consistent. Asian restaurants have delivered delicious food with an assist from a partially Hispanic kitchen staff. But this place in a new shopping center in Queens flips the script. It’s Mexican food made by an Asian staff. And a customer can immediately tell the influence. I got their cheese chimichanga and instead of being stuffed with fixings, it was just a shell filled with cheese. The lettuce, tomatoes, and all the other accouterments were served on the side for scooping on top — kind of like a Korean dish where the customer could add flavors to taste(and it started out not that spicy so adding flavors might be necessary for many people). Not that I minded. It was gluttonous and filling — the chimichanga made a very late dinner possible. Though it was surprisingly expensive for«fast food.» Even for New York City. And the food was not served quickly. But what actually bothered me about this place was it only served bottled water and not the free stuff. Despite cafeteria style ordering, I was shocked at this lack of service. But at least their soda was decently priced. All in all, it was pretty average Mexican food for New York City. Despite its unique staffing and presentation.
