Came here to celebrate Father’s Day with family, which turned out to be a complete disaster. Side dishes were mediocre, $ 120 sashimi plate was just plain sad(I don’t know if they ran out of sashimi, but the salmon pieces they served were size of a quarter, and rest of the ‘combination’ plate was all fluke), and the service was horrible. We received the mediocre sides short time after being seated, waited 20 mins to receive the sashimi and we had to wait another 30 mins AFTER we were done with the sashimi to receive the rice. Many of the sides(such as small plate of another sashimi, rolls, and spicy fish soup that usually comes with the sashimi) didn’t even come out. I complained to the waitresses, but they just brushed it off and completely ignored my family. My family decided to leave and requested to speak with the owner. The owner did not think ‘discount’ was necessary for the horrible service and not providing all the food that was supposed to be served with the meal. She still charged us $ 131(including tax). I generally don’t write reviews in Unilocal, but I don’t think anyone should waste their time/money on this horrible place. With so many steep competition out there, I don’t know how they have the audacity to treat customers this way.

Meh. So many good skidashi style sushi restaurants in Flushing. My sister recommended this restaurant. Kind of bummed that I ate here… 3 Stars though because the ladies were so sweet and brought out a lot of free dishes for me.

This was an interesting Japanese food in a Korean restaurant experience. Japanese food meaning, sushi, and Korean food meaning, endless side dishes. The menu appeared to be in Korean, so it was hard to tell what to order. My mother flipped to a page with combos with labels such as «seafood» and«sushi and sashmi”– but that didn’t tell us much. We ended up choosing the $ 120 platter since it was meant for 4 people. Apparently, your sides change according to the meal you selected. The platter we chose came with a large variety of sides, but I didn’t like the fact that we did not know what we were getting ourselves into, aside from the fact that we were ordering sushi. The sides were okay. Larger portions than the sides you would normally get for free, and with much better variety than plain vegetables– but wasn’t extremely tasty. They start off the meal with abalone congee(ABALONE?! YESPLEASE!). And they end your meal with some interesting pot fried rice. The sushi was extremely fresh, and our waiter was extremely pleasant– always asking if we were having a good time or if we needed anything else… though the restaurant was a tad bit on the empty side(it makes sense, this restaurant is close to nowheresland and located in a rather residential area). Given that there is a language barrier for me and the food wasn’t to die for(there was nothing memorable, but nothing sucked), I can’t say you should go out of your way to visit. But, if you’re nearby, hungry, and don’t mind trying a new restaurant, it’s not too shabby.

My mom really wanted to come to this place because her friend recommended it to her and after checking the review on Unilocal,I knew that the experience would not be as pleasant and I hoped it would be. First, it’s fairly easy to find parking around the area because if you turn a few blocks. it becomes a residential area and as you may know, residential areas in Fresh Meadows are extremely spacious! We came here on a Friday night, and the place was fairly empty– another recipe for disaster! But, the guy who greeted us was very friendly. This is a Korean owned sushi place, and the combo menu is not written in English. instead it is this foreign language(probably Korean or Japanese). The only lady speaking Chinese was not working that day and so we had a little difficulty understanding the menu. Note: They have a combo that is Flounder fish only and then a combo with larger variety. They have flounder fishes in tanks in their restaurant! We decided to go with the sushi and sashimi platter for 4 people, priced at $ 120. Shortly after ordering, so many side dishes came out– scallion pancakes, mushrooms, we had a fish soondubu, Korean style rice, donkatsu, an entire fish. I was already full from the side dishes! Although they were plentiful, I didn’t think that the taste was good. It’s on the bland side even though everything is presented so nicely. When the sushi and sashimi platter came out, I was extremely disappointed. First, the presentation was just off to me. Second, as others have mentioned. the cut is not that great. It’s thin and sad and not buttery or what good sushi should be at all. The rolls were very basic, 4 pieces of tuna and 6 pieces of California. This entire meal was definitely not worth the $ 120. After the meal, they give you ‘Yakult’ which is like some Asian drink as dessert, instead of fruits, generally. The service is good but the food needs improvement.

Our family got the sushi platter for $ 120 pre-ordered to go and the raw fish was fresh and melted in my mouth! I usually don’t eat sushi but the display and presentation was amazing that I had to try one(the white sushi) most of them didn’t taste fishy(YAS) except for one(the reason why I’m giving them 4 stars) but it came with plenty of side dishes as well! They definitely hooked it up! My family was very satisfied with their service.

This place used to be delicious when they first opened up. What happened to you, Pado Sushi?! Came here for my mom’s birthday but we ended up receiving horrible service and the food isn’t as good. The sushi definitely was not as fresh as it used to be! I hate it when you get a combination of bad food, bad service, and a dirty restroom. I’m not so sure if I’ll be coming back here but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to change my review.

This place has become such weird place with such rude services. The food isn’t good anymore and it’s not freshly made. This place has the worst customer service. This always happens and my family is never going back here ever again. We have 7 people in our family but only 4 people eat sashimi. So ordered a huge combo($ 200) but the waitress wanted us to order a bigger combo($ 265). My mom politely rejected and went with the $ 200 combo because only 4 people eat raw seafood. Then the waitress went to go tell the other workers and the owners and they brought so little side dishes and they were nasty throughout the night AND they kept taking our unfinished food and alcoholic beverages. They were rude in general and in the end, we asked for our check and they took my dad’s credit card without bringing the receipt. So we said we want to see the receipt first and she said, «I will bring it» in a rude way and she walked away with our credit card. We’ve been here more than 20 times for the past 5 years but it’s gotten worse and we are seriously never coming back here again. Even the owner is rude and always hungry for money.

Came here with two and ordered $ 80 live sashimi. Although live fluke was fresh everything else was pretty below average at best. $ 80 live sashimi comes with donkatsu(don’t know why at a sashimi joint), two fried anchovies, corn, mushroom, California roll, kimchi pancake and main dish. At the end it has fish stew. However for $ 80 it’s pretty cheap bc other places it is lot more expensive. However I rather pay $ 30 more and get more options

This used to be my go-to sashimi restaurant whenever I’m in NYC but the last time ruined it for me and I will NOT be returning. We went there for Christmas dinner hoping to have a wonderful meal but was highly disappointed at the quality of food and service. We went early to avoid the rush and there were maybe 7 waittresses and 6 tables occupied. The wait staff seemed too busy talking to themselves to pay attention to refilling our water or taking empty dishes away. The number of tsukidashi that came with the package seems to have diminished quite a bit. We normally get the $ 120 B package and four of us would be stuffed but this time we left feeling like we were teased. Despite the restaurant not being busy, they rushed us to finish our food. I don’t know if it’s under a new management or something but it was not a good dining experience. Such a shame…

Made a reservation for 3 people I was sat pretty quickly and couple of minutes later my dad and my cousin came. We ordered 2 sojus and a combo plate which was 200, so the total was 238 something… Food was good, but if your going with your family or just women, I advise u to go early evening. Lots of drunk older men. Other then that food was yummy!

Love coming here for lunch. They have great lunch specials and their service is always great. The price is decent so overall a good local sushi restaurant. However, oncw i ordered an uni it was just not fresh at all. Maybe it was a bad day. but I’ve never order uni since.

My go to place for fresh sashimi in queens. Their sides are ENDLESS. so much variety in sides, and then their sashimi platters are affordable and fresh. the meal starts with a porridge and then probably over 20 different sides, that don’t seem like sides at all. Then the sashimi/sushi arrive and you wonder if you can make room, which of course you can! When youre done they bring out the spicy fish soup with fish roe rice. You will leave full and happy. Probably one of my favorite places in flushing

First time eating here was definitely an experience since none of us knew how to read korean and they don’t describe what you’ll be getting in the fixed meal plans. The food comes out rather quickly so no need to worry about the wait if you’re super hungry. We usually get Plan C and this feeds 5 people. The plate of sashimi is very large and if you want more salmon or tuna be sure to let them know! There will be a small plate of sushi/nigiri. We’ve had a corn dish, mushroom and broccoli, katsu, soup, sweet and sour pork and other dishes that i can’t remember. There is definitely something for everyone so no worries! If there is a specific dish that you like they will refill it for you as well! Although the prices may seem a little high it is a good value and will please everyone’s unique taste.

Good sashimi, fair prices, and friendly service. And as with all Korean restaurants small plates are served free with all orders. Here, that includes delicious grilled mushrooms with broccoli. I’ve had dinner here four times and will be back. Note – very busy on weekends.

Summary of Pado sushi in four words: Low grade, bad cuts. Pado is a Korean Sushi place(all sushi places in Queens are Korean or Chinese run) that used to give a lot of fish(cuts weren’t that great back then either) and«banchan.» Last time I went here I almost got scammed. They never give itemized receipts. So when they just gave me a random number with a dollar sign to pay I thought it was the amount that was due but it seemed strangely high. I asked for the menu and found out that I was almost charged 6 dollars more than I was supposed to… So after being almost scammed by them previously, I decided to give them another chance and I regret it. The fish that pado served was low grade and cut very badly. Sashimi lunch special used to be so much better and more diverse with tuna, salmon, and flounder but now it’s composed entirely of flounder. I have no idea what they have going for them now. I used to frequent pado a lot due to their excellent lunch special but now I don’t think I will ever go back. I do not recommend pado to anyone. Even if your standard for sushi is REALLY low, I would not recommend it plainly because of the way they randomly over charged me on my previous visit. Who knows how many times they’ve pulled something like that on their customers? It’s straight up THEFT. Do NOT go here. You have been warned.

I must say that the owner should train their staff to eat elsewhere instead of right smack in front of the customer’s face. I couldn’t believe how the female waitresses were each going around biting and chewing on their chicken with their mouth open right in front of me. How disgusting! I was sitting at a table facing the back door, not too far from the restrooms, and the waitresses were standing taking bites and chewing on their chicken like a horse. Our eyes met several times, but that didn’t stop them from eating in such a horrid manner. I began to lose my appetite. They should be taught to eat at a table sitting down during their break or something, not while on shift and in the presence of a customer! Nothing special about the sushi or sashimi. It was about the same as elsewhere. The spicy fish soup that comes out after every sushi/sashimi platter in Korean restaurants tasted awful. It was way too salty and not tasty at all. I don’t ever plan on going back.

Love this place. Has fresh sashimi and sushi, as well as, other delicious dishes on their extensive menu. Their portion sizes are fairly large, so the prices that you pay, are very worth it. I love to order their sashimi platters. Fresh slices of raw fish. YUM! And their ban-chan are very tasty too! Plus for dessert, they give you a free Yakult — Yogurt drinks, which I also love! I’ve yet to try their Uni though. someday when i come with a big group of friends perhaps. :-)

Have you ever gotten so full to the point where you just want to stop, drop, and roll into a ball and sleep? This place will make sure you leave with a full stomach. Came here with a party of 10 and ordered two SET B’s. The food started coming out non stop, right after. The Fluke they served are straight from the tank. The sides, ban-chan, were really good. You have your corn, blanched broccoli, kimchi, squid, and so much more! Their tofu soup was well seasoned. Set B came with sushi, spicy tuna roll and a whole platter of sashimi, abalone and uni. We ended up paying $ 30+ per person and it was well worth it. The waitress gave us Yogurt drinks at the end. Food 5⁄5 Service 4⁄5 Atmosphere 4⁄5 It’s better to come here with someone that knows how to speak Korean. They seem to treat you nicer!!!

I came here with the intention of ordering the Pado Special because I heard it was amazing from some friends. I was warned to come here with a group of at least 5 people to finish the order. So I came here with 5 friends and we still couldn’t finish the Pado Special. There was so much food! Plus the sides kept on coming. The Pado Special has so many sashimi pieces with a variety of fish. There was also raw lobster, abalone, and sea cucumber. This was my first time having raw lobster and abalone, which were delicious. I’m not a big fan of the sea cucumber though. It tastes slimy and crunchy. We were all so stuffed after this meal. We struggled to finish all the food. I think there should be a note next to the menu items indicating how many people the order can feed. Service was great! They constantly refilled our sides, which was unnecessary since we struggled to finish our order anyways.
