purchased a toy poodle from the store a couple months ago. So far, he’s been very healthy, sweet, and hasn’t had any socialization issues.
we went back today for a bath and a groom. he had baths before in a big chain pet store and he was shaken and scared every time when we picked him back up. but today when we picked him up from q puppies after his groom, he was the happiest I’ve ever seen him. they did a wonderful job and I’ve never seen him so happy after a bath. the lady warned us that this is the first time he got groomed and it may not be best because he was nervous, but he looks absolutely stunning.
will definitely try coming back again in the future.

Picked up Benny my little toy sized Yorkie from this place. They have an extensive knowledge about dog breeds and would go above and beyond to bring you the best you are looking for. Try to provide them with what you need and they’ll make it happen.
I would definitely be visiting again in a few months to pick up another family member.

So my wife and I recently just picked up Zuko, a two month old red make shiba inu from here and we love him so much already. I’ve been searching for a dog for awhile now but never really found the right one. I’ve done my research on many puppy stores located around NYC and narrowed down a few that I liked. I ended up sticking with this located because I wanted a place that was in Queens so it was close to home in case I wanted to bring Zuko in for any reason. I did my research and read my reviews and even went to all the puppy shops in Queens and I believe this location gave me the best experience. It hardly smelled like a puppy shop to begin with which was a great sign of cleanliness, compared to other shops I’ve been too. I’ve been coming to this location from time to time in the past but just to see the puppies and play with them mainly. :) My wife and a bunch of my friends have purchased from here in the past already and have had great experiences so I knew I wanted to get my first puppy here. The staff is so helpful and nice too! They answer any and every question you could possibly have. They walk you through all the steps of taking home and owning your first, or second, or third dog. If you are looking for a specific breed and they don’t have it in store at the moment, they encourage you to call on Saturdays so they can update you on what puppies they will be receiving throughout the coming week. The shop is a little small now compared to when I first went to Q Puppies when they were located on Northern Boulevard a couple years back. Rent in the area has increased over the years so they were forced to move a couple of times. Another reason to purchase from here is because I believe in supporting great small businesses. Atmosphere in this store is great because even if your just stopping by to look at the puppies, they don’t look at you in any certain way and they still ask to see if you need any help. And I can’t forget about their own store dog, who is so cute and friendly and SOO well trained! They also sell puppy supplies too and for a reasonable price so you don’t need to run around looking for the right things to buy. The prices for their puppies are reasonable especially because the care they put into their puppies. Once purchasing the puppy, they sit down with you for a bit to fill out paper work and bring you up to speed with the status of your puppy like where he/​she is from and what shots he/​she has already. They also inform you or your rights as a pet owner and what they cover for the puppy since he/​she is going to a new home and a completely new environment. They even recommend a very good veterinarian place where if there is any problems with your puppy within the first weeks of having him, you can bring him/​her there and they will possibly cover the fees. They also do dog licensing on the spot which is quick and simple and very convenient too! Also, if you ever have any questions after bringing your puppy home, they encourage you to call them! My wife has called plenty of times with her first puppy with many questions and she says that they took the time to explain to her exactly what she needs to do and answer all the questions she had. So to wrap this up, I love this place and I’ve always recommended many of my friends to purchase from here in the past and of course now in the future too with my personal experience. It’s been only a couple of days since Zuko came home with us and he is adjusting fine and he loves it here. Thank you guys at Q Puppies for Zuko and everything you’ve done for me! We purchased our little toy poodle Biggie Smalls from Q Puppies just yesterday and we are already so in love with our healthy and happy little boy.
Q Puppies is by far THE BEST pet store I have ever been in. All of the puppies are so healthy, well socialised, active and clean. They are kept in quite large enclosures, with a friend of the same (or similar size) breed for company and toys for stimulation. They are taken out very regularly to play with all the dogs of the same size.
The owners genuinely care about the wellbeing of the puppies and that they go to good homes. They even had some teacup puppies there which they keep quite well hidden as they only want them to go to people who have experience caring for such fragile dogs.
They weren’t pushy on the sale and had lots of advice for us as first time pet owners and answered all our questions on training and caring for our new dog. We were given all his pedigree information, had him registered and were educated about all our rights and responsibilities as new pet owners.
We couldn’t be happier with the service we received and with our new little family member. I really feel that this is a pet store you can trust. The prices are also very reasonable.

Okay so I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I am not big on buying a dog more like to adopt but my bf and I needed a smaller puppy. (In North shore they are not guaranteed to be any size) This place literally feels like a HOME. They did not let me leave without giving me proper instructions on how to handle my baby boy. I felt confident and comfortable leaving the shop. The prices for there supplies was also very fair. I know they actually care because they said I cam call when ever for any reason! My dog is healthy and we are happy

We have been blessed with the sweetest furry family member. The staff at Q Puppies was so professional and kind. They made the process of picking out our new family member seamless. Basically this is my first time to have my own puppy. So find a good and fit puppy is a difficult thing. Qpuppies is the best puppy store I have ever been to, the people over there are very very nice and the puppies are active, healthy and adorable! To have a healthy puppy is very very important and I am really trustingly Qpuppies’ people. I know they will help me find the best dog that I want it. I brought my puppy home for two weeks already and he have already become part of my life.

I’m not sure what happened because most of the reviews for this shop are fairly positive. However, we took our dog to the vet and she had ear mites. Ear mites are usually transferred from other cats or dogs. Our dog had not been in contact with any other animal which leads me to believe that she was infected at this shop.

I bought my baby from Q Puppies in 2012 and he has been the best addition to the family ! He was my first pup and they were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful when I told them that– you could tell they definitely love all their dogs there and it’s always clean and tidy. Their babies are all healthy and happy puppies– but, consider yourself warned of all the cuteness cause it’s hard not to want to buy one! Also they have all different ranges of breeds from pure breds to mixed breeds. I Deff recommend coming here if you’re looking to add a new addition to the fam

My girlfriend and I had an excellent experience on getting our first dog, a 11 weeks golden retriever puppy from the store. The store owner Mrs Huang gave us tremendous and professional consulting on letting us understand necessary things of choosing the right breed and preparing ourselves becoming good owners. She is very patient and skilled at all kinds of aspects during the time we were in the store. I am also very impressive about responsible work on getting all the paper work done. I would recommend Q puppy for you.

Owners are fantastic and the care they give to their puppies is absolutely incredible. After talking to multiple breeders across US and visiting all the pet stores in NYC, I decided to get my puppy from them. They offered the best price and their puppies seem really healthy and happy.
Took my puppy to the vet and was confirmed that my puppy is really healthy. But as a first time pet owner, I was extremely nervous and was paranoid about every singe cough and sneeze. The owners were really patient and responsible. They answered all my questions and also went the extra mile to ensure my puppy received all the treatment and care it needed. Thank you Q Puppies!

Took my mini schnauzer for grooming, this was my first here and last time, they charged 60.00 and the cut was terrible. They cut off his beard and rest of body is short and uneven, no skirt. This is after I showed them pictures of how I wanted the grooming … Standard schnauzer cut, she said she knew how to do the cut. I have regularly had my dog groomed, but just moved to the area so I gave them a try. So disappointed, this place is not to be trusted! Do not take your dog here, they are totally incompetent. How can they be in business?!? All other positive reviews makes me question who wrote them, these people are not to be trusted!

Bought my puppy here and I absolutely adore her. They were very friendly and knew what they were doing. Had a rough time getting my puppy at first because they need all cards upfront. I only had the card number because it was an out of state card but that was on the issue. They supply great puppy equipment and really happy with my purchase at the end.

We got our daughter a Jack Russell Terrier puppy from here for Christmas. He is now 6 months old and a perfect little guy. This place was great. They are very clean and their prices were very reasonable. I fell in love with our puppy at first sight but we did go to a few other pet stores before making a final decision. We returned and took out baby home.
They sent us to a Petcare Animal Clinic and we are also very happy with them as well. They have taken great care of Jax. We even ran into the owners of Q Puppies at Petcare Animal Clinic and they even remembered us and our little guys. The owner was taking 6 more puppies with him, which I can only guess were more puppies for their store.
Anyway, I would highly recommend them. Really nice and clean place and great customer service. Super friendly.

Recently purchased a puppy from Q puppies. Owners are very helpful and welcoming!
I fell in love with one of their puppies and left the same day. They are very through and go through all the information that you need.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because I’m waiting to see if my puppy is ok, she has a bit of a reoccurring sneeze! I took it to their suggested vet and he told me to wait it out! Otherwise I love my puppy, and Q puppies is the way to go!

Got my pug groomed here for the first time and I’m really disatissfied with the results. First of all, they charge $ 30 for a bath, when I can wash my dog on my own with a $ 10 bottle of dog shampoo. The bath was nothing special and the fresh scent didn’t last for more than a day or two, and my pug isn’t going out for any hardcore hiking or anything so there’s no reason for her to not smell fresh and clean for more than a day! Secondly, I asked to get her nails cut which costs $ 5 and when I picked her up, her nails looked exactly the same! Still long! If anything, maybe they were a ¹⁄₁₆^th of an inch shorter.
The owner of the store has pretty good english speaking skills, but the two workers that gave my dog her bath did not speak a word of english and freaked out when I asked them a simple question, «when will she be done?». They panicked and started yelling at me «I don’t know! I don’t know!» It was uncomfortable and not great customer service skills on their part.
Bottom line, I would not recommend getting your dog groomed here. I feel as if their service was ineffective and a waste of money. I will henceforth, be taking my business elsewhere.

They specialize in purebred and hybrids, and have some of the cutest puppies I’ve ever seen. The staff is nice enough, and the animals seem happy.
Also a plus: it doesn’t smell bad at all in here. So they must be doing something right.
Also, don’t send me private messages about going to rescue shelters instead. I just wanted to look at puppies.
