So much variety, and there’s parking in front. This place has been here forever. I normally get the beef and squid combo (#20) It also comes with a spicy bean sprout soup, which is pretty good.

The kimbaps here are great. There is a large variety to choose from and the kimbaps are packed with filling, so it doesn’t feel like you are eating just rice. The prices are also really affordable so you can easily fill up on a budget. The only thing is that this isn’t a place to sit down and eat because there is limited space to enjoy it indoors, so I would recommend it for on the go. I haven’t tried many of the kimbaps here, but I would definitely go back for more if I were in the area. I had the spicy squid kimbap and others which I don’t remember, but I love that it’s not overly spicy. I’ve had it at another place before and it felt like they coated the squid with a thick layer of gochujang. They also offer free soup if you order more, but the soup isn’t really my thing. They do offer other dishes if you want more than just kimbap but I have yet to try them so I can’t tell if they are as great. Overall, a great spot for kimbap for on the go!

I need a place like this, some quick grab-​n-​go kimbab/​sushi. The best aspects of this place are:
1) There are SO many options to choose from. Make sure to look at all the different kinds and try not to buy too much!
2) They make it on the spot. It’s not some pre-​made, stuffed-​in-​the-​fridge kimbab. You make your order, and they make it right in front of you. FRESH!
3) It’s filling. The pieces are pretty big! I’ve also tried the California roll once and you’d be surprised at how fat each piece is. AND! Each order comes with soup! Lovely~
They’re quick with orders and they only accept cash. There are no seats to sit down, it’s really a grab-​n-​go thing. I come so often I get it before I go to my dance class nearby.

Affordable tasty food. I would fluctuate between 4 and 5 stars, depending on which kimbab I’m eating. A huge plus for having a parking lot.

It pains me to give this place a ³⁄₅ but something definitely happened. This place used to make the best kimbab in Flushing, but the last few times I ate here, the kimbab was very mediocre.
I am a die hard spicy tuna kimbab fan– and this was the place I used to always get it from. However, they changed the recipe and now it’s incredibly spicy (which is not the worst thing) and lacks a certain ingredient that used to make it delicious. The same goes for the regular tuna kimbab and bulgogi kimbab.
Their spicy bean sprout soup remains tasty, and I hope that they change something and revert to their old kimbab making ways soon!

Great small sushi place. My boyfriend and I ordered the beef gimbap, tofu gimbap and spicy tuna gimpap. The beef and tofu was good but the spicy tuna was no joke, it was really spicy just after 1 piece tears started to come out. Overall Will recommend to friends and will definitely go back again. :)

If you have kimbab fever this is the best spot. They have a huge variety of kimbab and each order comes with spicy bean sprout soup. The soup is nothing really special but it is pretty spicy. I ordered the spicy squid, mushroom, and eel kimbab here. I liked all of it but my favorite was the eel. It’s similar to sushi but with the pickled radish. The mushroom one is great for vegetarians. The squid is nice and chewy. This place is opened til 10 so you can come here for some late diner takeout.

They don’t season their rice for the rolls or its under seasoned. Very bland. Rice is so mushy and thick.
But what’s the worst is the side dishes and the pre-​packaged food they sell. You get lucky and sometimes they’re fresh. But most of the time it’s old and dried out.

Quick and tasty kimbaps! My fav is the spicy tuna kimbap ($ 5.5) I love their side dish the spicy fish skin ($ 6.5) has parking spots up front too this is my go-​to place for kimbap takeouts

I don’t understand why this place has so many great reviews. My main issue with this place is that their rice is watery and mushy. It honestly had the consistency of congee and it was disgusting. The ingredients lacked seasoning and I would never go here again. They don’t even know how to properly roll it up because I have had 2 pieces fall apart when I tried to pick it up. I’ve seen several reviews mention this as well. What kind of kimbap place can’t roll a standard kimbap?! I would hit the kimbap place just 2 blocks away which does kimbap right each and every time.

This is a no frill, take out kimbap spot. They have pictures of their rolls up so you can see what you want to order. It’s pretty inexpensive for the amount you get and each roll comes with a spicy bean sprout soup. The only downside is the parking sucks and it’s cash only.

This is a tiny take out place. They have a variety on their menu and make it as you order. I think the food is tasty. I’ve had kimbap where the bulgogi was softer and has more flavor but overall their kimbap is good. The price range can go from $ 5 to $ 13 for an order. Cash only. Someone mentioned that you have to speak Korean to order anything, I don’t know any Korean and was able to communicate what I wanted without a hastle.
They also have a fridge with other take home stuff. Side dishes. Never tried them.

Can’t go anywhere else for Spicy Tuna Sesame Leaf Kimbap!

I’ve been loyal to Song’s for over a decade. They are consistent, cheap, and authentic. And yellow… the baby blue is gone…
You come here for Kimbap and Fresh Kimchi… THAT’S IT!
This has been a staple of the community. The Spicy Squid has always been a favourite, but the Spicy Squid /​Beef is out of this world… when they have it! The Spicy Tuna is also a treat. It’s wholly unlike the Japanese counterpart. In fact, it reminds this Round-​Eye of American Tuna Fish Salad, with Sriracha, and of course the usual accoutrements of Kimbap.
The Kimchi is incredibly fresh and of the cabbage variety. It’s Spicy, Fresh, crunchy, fresh, and did I mention it’s incredibly fresh?!
For those who are in need of parking, there are generally spots between Song’s & the smoke shop for off– the — street parking.
Pick and Choose from the menu and you will want to come back for more. There are no bad choices. If it’s unfamiliar and «strange», it’s most likely delicious!

I come here often with my family, and hands down, they make great tasting kimbap but they do oftentimes do a haphazard job on rolling them. If it weren’t for this I’d easily give them a 4 – 5.
Almost 8 out of the 10 times I come here, the rolls aren’t stuck at the end and they come undone as you try to eat them… Which is the last thing that should happen to kimbap…
The soy bean sprout soup is always on point and a great side with the rolls… JUST wish they’d do some quality control!

Kimbabbbbbbbbbbb. Droollllll. Holy. Moly. I am a kimbab fein. And this place is SO GOOD. They make your order on the spot. it’s so fresh. Super cheap! And so fast!
I order 2 kimbab each comes with complimentary spicy bean sprout soup and I ordered odeng. (Unnecessary because of the soup that comes with it for free. I didn’t know lol)
$ 13 for 2 HUGE kimbabs with 1 large odeng. Pretty freaking awesome.
And they have a fridge full of homemade side dishes. I love supporting mom and pop stores like these cause they really care. And you can taste it in the food.

A consistently good kimbap place especially if you’re on the go. They roll it up right there when you order it, but it’s super quick because all the ingredients are already made. So it’s not warm and fresh, but it’s still good.
I usually get the spicy squid or the spicy tuna. Don’t expect any raw tuna here because all the ingredients in a kimbap are cooked. It’s basically tuna salad on a roll. They also give you a chilled spicy bean sprout soup with your order which pairs perfectly with your food. It helps wash it all down! I don’t recommend you get anything besides their kimbap because I’ve tried their other food and it’s not very good.
The spicy rice cakes, not good. The dumplings are decent, but too mushy by the time you get it. They have frozen handmade dumplings in the fridge though so I guess if you really wanted dumplings, pick up one of those!

Korean Kimbap (I like to think of it as big rolls of Korean sushi).
Near the LIRR stop and a few parking spots in the front to pick up and go. This place is a small place that makes some really awesome kimbap.
I usually get the spicy beef and the eel. Comes with a sprout soup to wash down after your meal.
Prices range from $ 5 — $ 13 for the kimbaps.
They have fridges where you can get some authentic Korean baichan — side dishes like kimchi, spicy tofu, anchovies, seaweed, and various preserved Korean dishes.
This is the only place I would get my kimbaps. I really wished they opened a location in the city somewhere.

I had a craving for Kimbap and HMart across the street had run out — RUN OUT!
So I thought, I know there’s a hot foods food court at HPlaza, lets give it a try. Upon walking up the stairs, I knew the menu for the food stall to the left — typical Kalbi, Bibimbap, SoonDuBu, Dok so I glanced over to my right.
As I got close my eyes locked on something that look like it could be KimBap. Fried Tofu Kimbap, it said. Then my eyes roamed over the rest of the picture menu on the wall… Kimbaps… it was ALL KIMBAPS!!! AHHHHHH!
My Big Goldfish eyes glazed over — literally, as I took it all in… Spicy Beef, Pork, Chicken Kimbap, Veggie, Spicy Tuna, Everything KIMBAP!
If you love Kimbap, this is the place to BE! For $ 5-​$ 7 a huge roll, you will leave nothing but satisfied!
Reviews say it comes with a Bean soup, I didn’t get this BUT there was a huge pot of Miso out that everyone helped themselves from.
On the flip side, we ordered Kimchi Sausage (and hotdog) fried rice, this was okaaaayy. But I’ve had Dok and Dolsot Bibimbap from here and it was great!
I always forget about this place, but its a great laid back place for when you have an achin for Korean Food!
* Oh yeah, my husband says I should mention that my Kimbap had a large piece of Steel Wool in it that I choked on, but I still love the place! Least it’s clean?

My husband first brought me to this place when I moved to NY. It was my very first Kimbap experience and I was sold! A definite winner in my books! Delicious, filling, super cheap Korean Sushi. Wow! Who knew such a thing existed.
For about $ 5-​$ 6 you’re getting 12 – 13 pieces of huge sushi plus a side of Yummy spicy bean sprout soup? Who wouldn’t want to try it out?
After coming here several times and trying various Kimbaps, my favorite is the spicy beef Kimbap. It’s not like Japanese Sushi and doesn’t come with Wasabi. Rather, it’s filled with an assortment of delicious Korean Veggies and your choice of meat/​fish, served with extra radishes.
Fast service and great food, stop by today!
Note: this is not a sit down type of place. Either you stand near the counter and eat there or take it back to your car and sit and eat, usually what I do.
