It’s a clean restaurant with friendly staff. The fish is always fresh and they offer many tasty dishes.

This place was better when it opened, there never was a party of 6 employees behind the counter talking to each other and doing weird things, employees weren’t cursing in other languages to other employees, the avocado in my sushi was never completely brown, the tempura rolls didn’t taste like it was microwaved, also when I ordered on the phone, things actually worked and I never had to wait forever for someone to get back to me… I’m not sure what happened to this place and it is sad but I am never doing this again.

Been here a few times but after today I’ll never be returning. I call to place a pick up and I was asking what kind of rolls they have. The gentleman whom I spoke to was very rude and it sounded as if he was doing me a favor by answering my questions. He kept talking to other people while not even listening what I was ordering. I had to repeat the order twice before he said wait let me put you on hold. He picks up again saying«Ok can you tell me what you want already». Very rude and unprofessional. This restaurant is also pretty price, which is understandable considering it’s a kosher establishment but good customer care should be included when you’re paying 5 $+ for a roll of sushi.

This place is alright nothing special at all. I’ve tried a lot of the rolls here and the one and only good roll worth coming here for is the phenomenal tempura roll.

This is now our go-to sushi place in Flushing. We always get the party platter with 3 chef rolls and 3 regular rolls, more than enough for three adults and the presentation is gorgeous(love their vegetarian Gorgeous Roll btw). If you place the order online, you also get a 10% discount. The fish is always fresh, cucumber crunchy, fried sweet potato yummy and we love the spicy mayo. Initially it was odd to think that it is «kosher sushi,» but the quality is good, so highly recommend! Oh have to mention that we once got the taco sushi appetizers and it wasn’t good, so stick with the rolls!

They are super! I love their food!!! And they have a ton of options there healthy roll is a winner! my number one pregnancy craving was sushi tokyos healthy roll and they always delivered the only negative thing I have to say is that multiple times they got my order wrong when I said healthy roll they gave me happy roll and they take years to deliver so I suggest you pick up and also check your roll before leaving!

I came here because it looked like they had a good selection of vegetarian rolls, and vegetarian rolls that would be easy to veganize. I got a BK roll and a Tropical Roll, as part of the veggie roll lunch special. They came with a drink and side of sweet sauce(like they kind they’d normally put on eel in a non-kosher place), and what looked like spicy mayo. I didn’t get the chance to ask if the mayo had eggs in it, so I didn’t try it. I also found out their tempura batter has egg in it, so vegetarian tempura rolls aren’t vegan. I thought the rolls were pretty good, but it felt a little expensive. I would prefer if the lunch special gave you the option of getting miso soup instead of a drink, though I didn’t remember to ask if it was vegetarian. I’ll update my review when I find out more. The veggie lunch special also felt a little bit expensive since most of the vegetable rolls aren’t that expensive to begin with, it’d feel more worth it if you could get it with soup or a salad. The buy one get one student discount special they have on chef’s special rolls is a pretty good deal. Overall I liked them, both of the rolls I tried were tasty and I’ll probably come back to try more. I’m only giving three stars because I wasn’t really amazed. I’d love it if they expanded their vegan options by making a tempura batter without eggs.

SO I have Mixed Feelings about this place, But Ultimately I still go. In the beginning when I used to go I would always have to just get up and give my order or get my own sauces because the service was terrible; and I still even had to pay the gradituity forced into my bill. But Seems like they have better management now and the waiters/waitresses aren’t busy with their phones the whole time. Sometimes when I go and the service is good, and I really do want to tip extra– I don’t because I dont like it that they force it out of me. I would appreciate if they wouldn’t skimp on my roll by just putting more rice outside. Also, for takeout 2 rolls gets 2 sauces but 5 rolls still gets 2 sauces. Whats Up with that? But otherwise I loooove the student Special –BUYONEGETONEFREE mon-thurs till 6 pm And the sushi is fresh and tastes great. The place is always relatively clean and weather friendly.

The sushi here is undeniably great– fresh and tasty, HOWEVER, the customer service is horrific. In this day and age where so many restaurants and food establishments bend over backwards to please their customers the managers behavior was appalling. I placed an order online thinking that was the safest way to make sure that it doesn’t disappear. I called before pickup to make sure that it was ready, the manager picked up, told me he would call me right back and then never did. When I called back again later he told me he forgot about me, ok, and that the order must have disappeared(interesting since I had email confirmation and my credit card was charged in full). When I told the manager how disappointed I was with their customer service his response was«what, are you looking for deal?» Seriously!!! I had paid in full for an order they lost and that’s the response I get? I will never be revisiting this establishment. Hopefully the other franchises know how to treat their customers.

Expensive and tasteless. The interior does not correspond with the food. Too much rice on the sushi and no taste whatsoever. There are much better sushi places out there. Save your money!!!

«We Know Your Cravings» As long as it isn’t beer. It is 90 degrees outside. Perfect for raw fish and — ? Apple juice aka Snapple whatever, always sickening sweet. Can you take sushi seriously without a complimentary beverage?

I like this restaurant. Food is delicious. The price is acceptable. Especially the lunch special. They deliver food to Queens College, which is better to eat in school Café.

I’m vegetarian, so speaking solely on the veggie rolls, I find them pretty good. The service however is generally not wonderful, this isn’t due to one particular occasion but just the general juvenile attitude. Although on more than one occasion I had my to-go order thrown at me… couldn’t tell if guy was incredibly rude, or following a modesty mandate… Also had to sit through an annoying aggressive conversation held between a costumer and waiter where the waiter repeatedly hated on iphones, mentioned how much he didn’t like people with iphones, while having noticed me obviously using my iphone 5ft away. Thanks guy. Atmosphere — contemporary, freshman fratboy.

This place lacks customer service. They need to replace the person at the counter. Awful attitude. Won’t bother coming here ever again and I live close to the area.

I was a big fan of the original Sushi Tokyo location in Brooklyn when years ago the two owners would always make sure you get good food and good service. Unfortunately the new Queens location is nowhere near that. The quality of the food is much lower and the service is pretty bad. For the past few months I have tried eating there and ordering out several times and I am extremely disappointed. On one occasion I ordered the Tuna Takoyaki and I was served twice the Salmon Takoyaki. When I tried to explain the difference to the waitress, she explained to me that she doesn’t eat fish and the Takoyakis were marked as Tuna in the freezer. Sad. Eventually they exchanged it for a soup which was below mediocre, but I ended up paying for both the wrong Takoyaki, that I didn’t eat, and the soup. On my last trip I tried take out again. They were understaffed, but the place only had a few patrons and no particular phone orders waiting. The person taking our order had a huge paper tissue stuffed up his nose and he kept touching it and turning it inside his nose. Eventually he threw it out, but never washed his hands before packing our orders and touching our food. Extremely unprofessional and unsanitary. To make things worse, when the food was ready, he got on a call with someone ordering a large order for a different day. He was on the phone with that person for almost 20 minutes, while our food was sitting there getting cold. The sushi doesn’t match the quality of the original Sushi Tokyo and I am disappointed with the overall experience.
