I had their ginger fish here which was just plain delicious. No other words can describe it. I loved how affordable it is ($ 8 including rice). The dish I ordered did take about 15 minutes to make in which I didn’t mind at all, since that gives me the feeling that it is freshly made. That fish was so good that as I’m writing this I wish I was there right now ordering it again!
I can’t wait to come back.
PS. They have free parking in the back of this location.

I absolutely love this place. The portions are big and price is reasonable. I’ve tried many things on the menu and only about 2 – 3 of them aren’t to my liking. If it is your first time here, get the beef chow fun. I have yet to find any as consistently good as theirs in NYC. It’s delicious and enough for breakfast the next day.
Staff are friendly to me and my friends. I haven’t had any issues other Unilocalers are experiencing.

Came here recently for some curry and pork one of my fav from here… The rice that they use has changed a little… it’s more loose and less packed maybe they are using long grain instead of glutenous rice… that was more chewie before… Tho the rich has changed the goodie curry has not changed with the pork… Still very tender and not a lot of bone on the pork. It’s still my favorite place to get curry porkchop. The other item that I recently is the intestine with pickle cabbage… Sound unappetizing i know but quite tasty if you grew up in Taiwan. The prices I think went slightly up. Their honey and lemon tea is excellently made, too bad I can’t say as much for the service there… Went twice once I got ok service the other time was even worest… And forget the ginger tea or anything they don’t have it and if you ask too slow they just walk away before you order. The food and the chief is good.

Great place to order out from! You can eat there too its just not a lot of room. At most 5 – 6 tables. However, the food is way better than your average chinese take out place!
Its got good warm food, cheap prices, and always great milk teas as well.
Great for any meal of the day and for snacks.

Authentic Cantonese dishes. You order, pay, and then find seating to eat. They also sell chinese bakery breads. I love their yang chow fried rice (Cantonese fried rice) and pan fried flat noodles with beef. They dont cheap out on the beef and shrimp. The portion is huge too. You will get your money worth and a happy tummy too

Maybe this place is under new management or has a new chef but the food is no longer edible. Disappointing considering they are so convenient with a parking lot in the back.

Love coming here for breakfast, it’s very similar to 168 with the combo breakfast menu. They also have a lot of dinner items like Valentine’s pork chop over spaghetti or over rice. Bake chicken. Curry chicken. They also have most other Chinese dishes. I think the baked dishes are better and also opt to pay the extra $ 1.
My favorite is the baked pork chop over spaghetti with red sauce, although recently they habe been over cooking the spaghetti and there is not enought sauce.
I’ve never tried the bread.
The décor is similar to other bakeries but larger with 4 or 5 tables against the wall.

This place is awesome! Authentic HK style food shop. Me and my family have been their customers since they started the business. It always is our weekend quick lunch spot.
Everything I try there is above average (of HK food). Their baked rice are fantastic and my all time favorite is their baked fish fillet over rice with white sauce.
I always call to order and pick it up since the place can get crowded during lunch time. Another big plus is the parking lot behind the store.

We stopped by here on Saturday for a late lunch.
I was all psyched for some good Chinese food after reading so many starry reviews .
We ordered fried fish on spaghetti and fried pork chop with spaghetti.
The dishes were very large and look impressive but the taste was disappointing.
The tomato sauce on my tomato and pork chop was tasteless and watered down.
The pork chops were also very fatty and not seasoned well.
My GF fried fish was so-​so and the sauce tasteless too and gloppy; too much corn starch!!!
I also ordered lychee ice drinks that were also watered down; again almost tasteless.
The cook must be having a very bad day.

Very good and reasonable hot dishes to order and good buns to grab quickly too if you’re on the go. decent amount of seating, a locked restroom and outlets at a few tables to charge your devices are pluses too… I like the bubble teas and breakfast soup with egg. My favorite is the scrambled egg sandwich. It is on lightly toasted white bread with little butter and lettuce.

Wish I can do zero star. What a waste of time. Omg, HK milk tea is white, what they thinking? And the rest is the crappiest HK style café food a ever had. Not a matter of different taste, they didn’t even try to make it look like HK café style, let alone the taste

Tasty curry chicken with flat bread breakfast special is delicious! Better than the Indians make it lol! + the Iced Milk Tea together is a treat! :D

Usually the food is great and the service is nice!
But the last time I came here the cashier was rude and she seemed to have a hard time hearing me.
After I finished ordering (cold lemon tea and sponge cake)
I waited like everyone else
The cashier finished making my drink and looked up to find where I was
She said in canto «oh shit I forgot who ordered «
Then she started calling very loudly&rudely until I went up to her and snatched the drink.
Ugh ;(

I love this kind of food. Reminds me of Hong Kong. Pretty typical with your meat over rice/​noodles dishes, honey tea, milk tea, and bakery goodies. Will definitely come back for more cheap, «fast» Hong Kong food.

This is among the most authentic Hong Kong Style Tea Houses I’ve been to in New York City, and yes, I’ve been looking around. It’s very difficult to earn five stars from me, but this place does. I come here once a week.
Food: my favorite dinner/​lunch dish is the baked curry with fried pork chop over fried rice (please excuse the literal translation from Cantonese). Be wary: they may run out of this item, so try to get there before the «rush.» Other items such as Sing Chow Stir Fried Noodles and baked fish over fried rice were wonderful. Actually, I have yet to taste an item that wasn’t good here. The bakery items do not disappoint, either!
Service: the women behind the counter are extremely friendly and nice. Obviously, this isn’t leave to piss them off on purpose, because, just like in Hong Kong, they’ll be very nice one second and verbally decimate you the next. There have been comments about this being a no-​nonsense type of place, and I agree, but if you’re dealing with extremely rude customers all the time, you’d probably be the same way, too. However, I have found that smiling and being friendly helps a lot. Another tip: call your order in before you start heading there to avoid any wait time.
Décor: it’s a very typical setup of bakery/​restaurant. Seating is limited and tables can be a bit oily. Wipe it down with a napkin before use!
I love the large parking lot they have in the rear.

Delicious Hong Kong western style comfort food, these restaurants are like the American version of mac and cheese. Prices are reasonable and the sauces they use for their baked pork chops, fish and chicken are very tasty. they also offer you basic style Cantonese dishes like Singapore Mei fun and beef chow fun. the service staff can get a little snooty during busy periods, but overall they are tolerable. Remember, there is no wait staff, you’re there for the food not the service. A parking lot in the back is a plus.

PRO: Order came out quick and food tastes as good as the price. It’s easy to get a quick bite to eat if you’re on the go.
CON: This is not a place to be expecting American customer service. You’ll likely stand at the counter for a long time if you don’t speak up because these ladies will not acknowledge your presence. They may seem even a bit annoyed if you try to talk to them if you’re not ready to order. This is also a Cantonese speaking joint in a Mandarin heavy Chinatown, so a big CON if you can’t speak the language, just like anywhere else in Flushing.

I have a love hate relationship with this place… but more so a hate relationship. The food here is what you would find at a Hong Kong «Cha Chan Tang» style diner but not to the best caliber, however, the quality of the food here is better and cheaper than New Kissena Chinese takeout across the street. It’s not the best food you could choose to eat but when you’re on a budget and you’re hungry, it’ll do. I find the drinks here to be on par with that as well. In general, anything you order here will be alright so i wouldn’t worry about ordering here.
What really gets to me is the service here. Every time I come here:
1) Staff are really rude in Chinese. (Though, they seem cordial in English) In Cantonese, I would say that the staff manning the counters are extremely «inch.» When they talk to you they more or less say, «What you want?» Let’s say you didn’t hear what they said, they’d more likely repeat loudly and in a mean tone «To go or not?»
2) The wait time for food has always been excruciatingly long for me. When you order food, expect to wait at least 15 minutes or more.
3) Today’s experience with the waiting left me in utter fury because they had me wait for over 35 minutes for food. Unacceptable because this is a Chinese fast food joint, not a gourmet restaurant. When I did inquire about what was going on with my order the lady would just smirk a bit and say that it’s coming. There must’ve been 8 orders that were made after my order and all 8 had been slowly getting completed– except mine. I voiced my frustration and received no response whatsoever.
I’m one of those guys where I can’t really hide my emotions, however, the anger was beginning to show in my face. The lady looks at me and goes, «Please don’t look at me like that, you’re scaring me.» Furious, I explained calmly, «If the next order out of that kitchen isn’t mine, I don’t want the order anymore and you guys are going to give me a refund.» Suffice to say, the lady went into the kitchen then and 5 minutes later my meal was in my hands.
Despite their poor service and average food, I don’t see this place ever doing bad business simply because it’s at a good location and it’s cheap. However, if they want to have «better» business and more profits they really need to fix the service. I’ll still go back in the future (due to the convenience), however, they won’t be my first choice… that’s for sure.
