Good friendly neighborhood pizzeria with excellent Sicilian and plain cheese slices. Pizza wasn’t drenched in oil like other pizzerias in the area. No fancy slices or other «exotic» items on their menu. All they had at the counter was plain cheese or Sicilian slices with other traditional items on the menu you would expect at a pizzeria. Place has an old school feel which I love. Slices were delicious and their ingredients seem better than others. I will def be back to try their pastas, heroes and garlic knots! :)

We ordered a pie with 3 orders of garlic knots. When we get home there was 2 foils with 6 knots in each one. I call the pizzeria and tell the owner that there were only 2 orders and he said there is only 4 knots per order… LIE!!! On the menu and on grub hub it clearly states 6 knots per order. I would have not ordered anyway since his slice is ok and smaller than avg.

Best pizza place in Queens. No kidding. A hidden gem. I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years and I have to say it’s always been fantastic.
You can’t go wrong. Their regular pies are great. Their sicilian is FANTASTIC.
One thing I wanted to comment on is that you can tell that they use high quality ingredients. The pepperoni doesn’t drip oil everywhere and doesn’t make you feel sick for ordering it. Their meatballs and sausage are good too.
This place can be pricey for pizza but it’s totally worth it. Vinny is one of the nicest people I know and it’s always pleasant talking with him when I go there. I’m so glad his place has remained a staple in my diet for so long. :)

Vinny’s gets an extra star for friendliness. I originally called for pick up on my way back home but then changed my mind 15 minutes later and asked to have it delivered instead. The gentleman on the phone was so nice and accommodating, that pleasant experience alone would have made me a repeat customer.
The pizza itself (plain) was perfect. The sauce was slightly sweet (exactly the way I like it), the cheese was generously portioned and so gooey, and the dough was thin enough but a little chewy too (again, exactly the way I like it). I was so impressed, I just couldn’t stop eating! The large comes with 8 slices, and before I knew it, I had plowed through 7 of them in one sitting.

I ordered delivery from here, I’m not too far. I ordered pepperoni pizza and wings. An hour and a half later, I got pizza with no pepperoni (but was charged for it), very chewy pizza, and COLD, soggy wings. TERRIBLE. Never again.

Love the new renovation of the Pizzeria with more wide space in the front. The owner and the staff greeted with a friendly smile and a hello.
The garlic knots at Vinny’s are way better than most nearby pizzerias =)

They recently had a renovation and no longer looks like that 1 posted depressing picture.
Their slices are good but sometimes a bit too doughy and not enough oven-​time. However, their spaghetti and meatballs is awesome! The sauce tastes naturally sweet (other restaurants’ sauces taste like they’re sweetened) and they use angel hair that allows you to taste the sauce and meatballs simultaneously.
Great service and the owners are a character.

Hidden neighborhood pizzeria gem! My husband and I order from here often and have never been disappointed. Great heroes, regular pizza, and plates… although not a big selection, but what they do have is delicious!

I moved into this neighborhood over a year ago! This pizza shop is literally two blocks away from my house. Vinny the owner is very nice and funny! The pizza is delicious here! If your in the neighborhood try a slice!

THIS is good pizza in the neighborhood. Consistently great, what pizza is supposed to be. The inside is newly remodeled, but the pizza has thankfully not changed. Crispy on the bottom, perfect amount of quality cheese in perfect balance with the not overloaded sauce.

I was raised on Vinny’s pizza — the taste of it brings me back to my childhood! I was one of 5 kids and we used to order 3 pies at a time! The pizza was always great and thanks to Vinny, it still tastes the same. As long as that guy is behind the counter, this will be my favorite pie in a neighborhood where we are spoilt for choice when it comes to pizza. Crispy crust, perfect sauce, not over salted. Yes, the décor is dated but that’s part of the charm!

My wife grew up around the corner from here and the other night we were both hungry and she suggested we drive back to her old neighborhood to get a pie to go from «Vinny». Being born and raised in Astoria and eating some of the best pizza in NY I was skeptical. After eating the first slice I turned to my wife and said…“this is really good pizza!”.
The crust is firm but tasty and the sauce is just the right mix of tomatoes and paste. This was the best pizza I have had in a long time and I think we found our new neighborhood spot. Thanks Vinny.

Great neighborhood spot as mentioned by previous reviews. A bit depressing to eat there but works in a pinch. The guy making the pizzas is friendly in an old school way.
Coupon system is pretty good — every time you buy a pie you get one and you collect like 10 and you get a free one. I keep losing mine though! d’oh!
Pizzas are pretty good, I would say the best in bayside? definitely better than Bay terrace, Bay bridge, or VIP on Bell.

Good sweet sauce, good bread, good Vinny actually making the pies… and its in a neighborhood… AND it has the local Catholic school calendar up behind the cash register so you know he hooks up the kids.
add a revolving door of stellar clientle all ushering in local news and gossip and this is a great spot.
still victims of the Queens small slice curse, but at least they have a good Sicilian to make up for it.

This place has been here forever, at least 20+ years. Reliable slices each time I’ve stopped by, though I’ve definitely had better. Worth a visit!
