The Smoking Pot

The Smoking Pot catered my rehearsal dinner in September 2013. We had another venue fall through, called The Smoking Pot, and had a sample delivered to us the next day. I am a vegetarian, so I didn’t try the lowcountry boil, but they made me an amazing black bean burger with the best sauce of my life. They arrived a few hours early to the house, played some awesome music, and cooked up a great meal. So glad the other venue fell through!

Delicious meal at the beach house on Folly:) Amazing job, and the key lime pie was awesome.

i hosted a lowcountry boil/​crab boil dinner party for about 26 people over july 4^th. Andrew was punctual, incredibly helpful, and a pleasure to work with. the value was great considering how flawless the service was. he set up while we had cocktails and before you knew it we were eating fresh (really delicious) crabs. while we did that, he set up the boil with real plates and silverware, tables, etc; we didn’t even notice and we just moved on to the next part of the meal. as we finished desert, we looked up and everything was clean and put back in its place. it was a great experience and the food was fresh, local, and high quality. as a charleston native, it was great to come back and remember how much i missed the food. i highly recommend the smoking pot!

These guys are AWESOME! Perfect idea for a large party. It’s unique and I guarantee your group will love it. Had a bachelor party with 10 – 12 guys. We stayed at one of those big houses right on the beach, so there was lots of room in the yard. These guys showed up and took care of everything. Super laid back, nice guys. They set up the tables and piled on 2 bushels of amazing steamed oysters for the appetizer (blue crab is also an option). They were so fresh and delicious! Then they threw down the low country boil, slaw and mouth-​watering key lime pie (I don’t even really like key lime pie, but this was great). It was hassle free and just $ 40 per guy ($ 12 for appetizers, $ 28 for main/​sides/​desert). Definitely better than doing it yourself.

Happened to come across The Smoking Pot while researching food delivery on Kiawah Island. Andrew was very friendly and we couldn’t have planned a better meal for our friends’ post-​wedding celebration! He brought all food and necessary equipment, cooked a huge meal while my friends and I hung out at the beach, and even set up a large communal table with chairs for us to eat. He even brought REAL dinner/​silverware which was a nice suprise. The shrimp boil thing is such a great idea, but even better when someone else is doing all the hard work for you! Thanks again Andrew for such a great experience on Kiawah Island!!!

These guys are great! Perfect for a crowd; we enjoyed our Folly Beach rental and didn’t have to lift a finger. Except of course to shuck some oysters and crack into freshly caught blue crabs. The low country boil was delicious — the whole meal was one of several high points from our SC vacation. We can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding service and high quality, local food. The Smoking Pot catered an oyster roast for us (10 people) right at the home we rented on Folly Beach. We loved them so much, they will be catering an upcoming party for 60 with the Lowcountry Boil this summer. If you’re in the Charleston area, USE THEM for the freshest and best seafood and sides. They will come to you and give your family and friends a time to remember!
