Got reasonable service for 2019 personal and 2020 estate tax returns for a deceased relative. Communicated with tax accountant about 2021 estate return last July, so she knew I was planning on filing a 2021 return using her services, but when I emailed her in February, there was no response. Called and was told she is only part time right now and would hand off to another accountant. Spoke with that person and was told she would review with the first accountant. She then proceeded to ignore my email follow up and three weeks later, after numerous follow up calls, was informed that the new accountant "didn't want my file". Was told that the original accountant would handle it after filing an extension. Totally "take it or leave it" attitude with no communication, no apologies (except from the front desk staff who seem quite used to apologizing). Even had to call the manager twice as she didn't bother to return my first call/message when I was desperately trying to figure out who would file this return on time and allow me to close out the estate with the courts. Services are not discounted - I paid nearly $700 for the last filing. Bottom line, I would not recommend this service and if you do end up using them, be exceedingly proactive in your communications, as well as prepared to file late, while paying a premium for poor communications and a total lack of customer concern.

My taxes are always simple. A lot of my colleagues that filed their taxes after me have gotten their refund. I know Bobbe did something with Covered California or Affordable care act and processed it that way and that is why my refund is delayed.
I am working full time and have insurance.
It has been OVER A MONTH SINCE I FILED FOR MY TAXES! This is unheard of!!!

We were not happy with the customer service received. The person we dealt with was terrible. She would not return our calls, or meet deadlines we agreed upon. The agents or whatever they call themselves can work at different locations. So sometimes this person wouldn’t even be in town. When we tried to find out her schedule etc the receptionist or whoever picks up the phones at this center was awful. Basically giving us the run around.

This is the first time to this center. I did not wait for long time on my scheduled visit. The Tax advisor is very knowledgeable and cooperative and friendly staff. I recommend this center.

For the last 3 years I’ve been dealing with a tax situation. Every time you call the IRS you get a different answer to the situation even though none of the facts change. The IRS speak this foreign language that only an expert can undertand or you need to bring an IRS translator with you. I could never get the «IRS for DUMMIES» explanation. This would send me in a different direction each time and none of those directions led to resolution. How frustrating!!! Meanwhile I’m sure the IRS is loving it because fees & penalties are accruing and I think it’s how they feed their children and pay for their big homes and fancy cars. I wasn’t about to pay something just because the IRS said so. If the IRS can’t explain why they think I owe something, I’m not about to just pay it. I don’t operate under the «because I said so» rule.
Let’s get ready to RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBBBBBLLLLLLLLEEEEEEE!!! This year I decided to open the ring to the heavyweights (H&R) and try to figure this out from completely different angle. First round knock-​out!!! I told my tax preparer that science and technology were my things and that all I heard when the IRS spoke was that «whaaa whaaa whaa» from Charlie Brown. My eyes would glaze over and sometime later I would awake not sure if I had a seizure or if I passed out. My tax preparer had this thing figured out in a matter of minutes and we came up with strategy on how to handle it. I couldn’t believe the answer was really that simple since the IRS never went down this path. I now feel like the IRS reps for the 800 number might be full of Tax School dropouts. LOL.
I’m just happy that I’m not paying them as much as was indicated and I finally got this monkey, ooops, I mean IRS, off my back!
