Got a quote to put in a new ball value that controls my garden area. The estimate they gave me was $ 350. It required to take off the old one and and install a new one. It required sweat soldering 2 fittings. I told them forget it, they were charging to much. I bought the new valve for $ 16.50 and installed it myself. It took me less than 20 minutes to complete the job.

I had a back-​up issue and had them come out to give me a quote. I do not have a clean-​out so they have to pull a toilet to access the main. It was going to cost me around $ 300 to pull the toilet and another $ 275/​hr with a 1 hour minimum to run a camera down the line plus the cost to snake it. The next company to give me a quote provided the camera services for free in their inspection so they could provide an accurate quote. The camera only needed to be down the line for 10 minutes or so. Nothing against Domco’s technicians, they were very courteous. Lady on the phone could use some classes in customer service… not rude per se but not very nice either. I can overlook that, but ultimately the pricing was outrageous. The charge for the camera seemed particularly out-​of-​this-​world, that is what really turned me off. How can they charge so much for a diagnostic service that other companies gladly provide for free? It makes me assume they upcharge wherever they can, not trying to help a sista out AT ALL. Ended up paying another company twice the cost of DOMCO’s quote to snake my drain, except I got a whole new cleanout and sewer line installed.

At around 8:00am three work trucks labeled DOMCO Plumbing arrived at my house yesterday. I signed some papers agreeing to pay $ 7,840 to have new copper pipes, shower/​faucet fixtures, and a water heater installed. For this I would get working toilets and restore running water to all my sinks and showers, AND a permit.
As I drove off to find refuge at my mom’s during the chaos, I thought to myself, «Shoot. I only transferred the quoted amount into my checking account, what a rookie move. Jobs like this inevitably turn out to be more complicated than originally envisioned, and all the real costs accrue through change orders — $ 7,840.00 is only the beginning.»
So I wasn’t all that surprised when Dom called at the end of the day and said the job is going great, HOWEVER, he’d run into one thing, and that I «had a decision to make.»
Except, the decision was whether I wanted to spend about $ 250 less. (He’d found a way to save me some money.)
The job’s not completely done yet, but so far I’m impressed. I went by this morning to unlock doors and take a look around. The guys were scheduled to come back at 9:00am. Everything was left neat and orderly, and I could tell extreme care had been taken to minimize visible proof that they had been here. Not a scratch on my wood floor, and there was only one small wall opening required to get to my shower, for the whole repiping job. The remaining work left for today is all «above and beyond» the estimated work — I can tell they are not here for the job, they’re here to make a lifetime customer. As I was about to leave the place, around 8:30am, I noticed the first guy pulling up to my place, a half hour early, bright eyed, and happy to get back to work.
The guys are all polite and professional, they showed up on time, are ahead of schedule, AND they’re thinking about how to save me some money.
I think if you have a big job, you absolutely HAVE to obtain multiple estimates. Do yourself a favor though, and invite DOMCO to bid. He’ll be more thorough than the rest, will quote you a fair price, will have passion around his recommended solution (e.g. copper vs. plastic), will communicate with you frequently on the progress of the job, will go above and beyond what’s expected, and will really make you feel like a valued customer.

I am a property manager for multiple rental units. As you can guess, the plumbing either goes out late Friday night or during a holiday. Yesterday was Christmas and yes, we had backed up sewage in one of the units.
I expect three things from the plumbing company I use. First, I want quick service when I have a serious problem. Second I want the problem fixed correctly. Finally I want to pay a fair price… yes they need to stay in business but then they should not rip me off either.
I have tried numerous plumbing companies over the years and could not find one that meet all three criteria until I found Domco.
I have used them multiple times in the past and plan to have them be my plumbing provider in the future.
Stop looking elsewhere and give them a call…

I WOULD BURN MY OWN HOUSE TO THE GROUND BEFORE I WOULD EVER PAY Domco Plumbing ANOTHER CENT!
This company deliberately tried to scam us out of more than $ 8000! We had a clogged sewer line that was flooding our basement. We called Domco Plumbing to come out to snake the line. They came out and snaked the line, told us it was all good, they were paid and they left.
When we woke up the next morning our whole house was flooded with sewer, so we called them back because they obviously did not finish the job! They insisted we needed a camera inspection which cost $ 275 (which was okay I guess to confirm there was a clog… um yes we know it’s clogged, our house is flooded remember)!
Anyways, they snaked it out 3 more times after that, over the span of 3 days (our house flooding every time we flushed a toilet or use water).
The workers Domco Plumbing sent out here were loud and yelled obscenities, talked loudly about gambling and other unprofessional topics in our front yard which was embarrassing, because we live in a nice and quiet neighborhood with lots of kids (our neighbors complained to us after they left).
They claimed that the clog was so bad that it broke their snaking tool three times. They said they did «Everything that could be done» but the roots were so bad that the «Only way to fix it was to dig up and replace the sewer line from the street to the house» and they quickly provided an estimate for more than $ 8000, thus, we needed some time to think about the cost and they left! THIS WAS THEIR ONLY SOLUTION!
WE DECIDED TO LOOK INTO ALTERNATIVES AND SEARCHED AROUND ONLINE…
IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES IT WAS CLEAR THAT THEY PURPOSELY WERE NOT USING THE TOOLS WE KNOW THAT THEY HAD IN THEIR TRUCK BECAUSE WE SAW THEM (THOUGH AT THE TIME WE DIDN’T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE FOR) TO CUT THROUGH THE ROOTS IN THE LINE.
Being younger home owners, we did not know that such tools existed. So we went up to Home Depot and rented a drain cleaner for $ 65 and had the line totally clear in less than 2 hours!
BOTTOM LINE: THIS PLACE TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US BIG TIME, THEY ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, NOT TO MENTION COMPLETELY DESTROYING OUR YARD, REMOVING TREES AND EVERYTHING ELSE TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT THEY COULD HAVE FIXED THE FIRST TIME THEY CAME OUT, BUT DIDN’T!
OUR HOUSE FLOODED WITH SEWER 5+ TIMES AND WE COULD NOT USE OUR WATER/​SHOWER/​TOILET FOR 3 + DAYS IN THE PROCESS OF THEM TRYING TO SCAM AND SLOW JACK US OUT OF OUR MONEY.
EITHER THEY ARE SEVERELY INCOMPETENT OR THEY ARE SEWER SUCKING CRIMINALS, EITHER WAY, DON’T LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE, YARD OR WALLET!
As consumers and Homeowners, we are forced to rely on service providers to adhere to industry standards and repair problems at a fair cost. Domco Plumbing is straight up criminal in their business practices and out to take advantage of hardworking people that don’t know any better. For the love of god, stay away from this place!

4÷10÷15 — I had a backed up sewer and they sent someone out really fast and they got us up and running again. The lady answering the phone was efficient but not very friendly and in a hurry to hang up. Also, the guy who came out was was good but I feel the cost of the job was a little too high (not his fault?). He also told me I needed extensive costly repairs (to the tune of $ 10k — gulp!) and he did not provide any alternative solution — he just left.
4÷20÷15 Update: I down rated to 1 because I found out they didn’t do the job.
When I initially contacted Domco I specifically asked them to clear my sewer line of ALL roots and I paid them $ 313.00 to do that. Last Thursday EID came out and sent a camera down my line and I saw that it’s still full of roots! So they didn’t do what I paid for!
I called and asked to speak with a supervisor or manager because I am NOT happy with the work they did. I was told the owner would call me. It’s been 4 days and still no contact from anyone at Domco.
I’ve been a homeowner for 30 years and have dealt with a lot of service people and I will NOT do business with Domco again because I cant trust them to do the job their paid for, or to even provide honest feedback.
Homeowners beware of these guys.

$ 188 bill for a 14 min start to finish job replacing a water heater termocouple worth less than $ 10.

On 6÷15÷14 we had a problem with a plumbing back up. The person who came out was very professional and took care of the problem at that time. Today we had the same problem (2 ½ months later) and called at 9:00 this morning to request a plumber to visit and explained that it was the same problem as last time. We were told that the plumber would be there between noon and 2:00 pm and maybe sooner and that we would get a call when the plumber was on the way. At 2:00 we called as no plumber had arrived and got voicemail, at which time we requested an update. We called gain at 2:15 and got voicemail again and left a message to say that we had hired another plumber who would be arriving shortly, At 2:30 we received a call from DOMCO saying «did I miss your call» Obviously you did !! We understand that sometimes appointments get delayed but good customer service dictates that you keep customers updated as things change. We will never use Domco Plumbing again.

came out to fix clogged toilets. i had foot surgery and was trapped in house with no toilet! the polite technician refused to leave until he fixed the problem! he went out of his way to do more than he had to and the price was so reasonable! we had used other plumbers on past but we recommend DOMCO to everyone!

I had been referred to Domco by a friend who had been very impressed with Domco’s service and prices. In fact, he had another plumber out first who wanted significantly more money than Domco. Wanting to look into a new water heater I had Domco out to my house. The guy was on-​time… in fact a few minutes early. He seemed to know water heaters, explained everything in detail and gave me quotes on the spot for a couple different options. I felt the information given was fair and lined up with my on-​line research. The quote was significantly less than my other bid from a couple years ago. I haven’t decided yet if we are going to do the water heater now or wait until current one literally dies… but will call Domco for any plumbing need that arises.

Duane was professional and new his stuff helped identify and show me how the last plumber’s alleged fix was not a fix at all! I highly recommend Duane. I only wish every trade professional was as great as this guy!

I recently called Domco in Folsom to fix an emergency repair to my water heater, that a local Handyman I had hired had poorly installed. My fault, as we are currently in the process of selling our home, when our 10 yr old water heater gave up the ghost. I thought I would save a buck by going through a local Handyman, instead of a specialist in the first place.
However it ended up turning into a frustrating nightmare with the Handyman’s work. Especially in lieu of pending inspections and the escrow process with the house.
As a last ditch effort, I turned to Unilocal,read a few reviews and selected Domco in Folsom based on the satisfactory reviews here, also backed by a solid recommendation from a friend.
Domco scheduled a same day visit which was extremely awesome, given the urgency of my leaking new water heater installed by a Handyman just two days prior.
The service technician phoned me about 45 min prior to his arrival, in which he arrived 5 – 10 minutes early. The service tech knew exactly what was wrong (Handyman could not figure it out after two attempts) it’s been over a week since I had Domco out to repair the shody work of the orig Handyman, and it’s holding up and working flawlessly. Would absolutely use Domco in Folsom, CA again.

Domco replaced two water heaters in my home a few years ago — just the heaters, awesome service then too. Who knew that a few years later that the copper pipes coming from the wall to the tanks would spring leaks. (Cheap track builder — third plumbing issue with 12 yr wincrest house). We called Domco first thing in the morning and they were here within 45 minutes and everything was fixed very quickly for a reasonable price. Great company

These guys replaced our water heaters back in 2010. Last night we had a micro leak at the flex copper pipe at the top of one of the heaters. Called them around 7:30 am that next morning, and they had someone here an hour later.

I called on the weekend and Domco was able to quickly send out a service technician. My service tech Shannon F. was very professional, quick and friendly. They do not charge extra for nights or weekend calls. If I have anymore future related plumbing issues, I will call Domco again. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience with Domco. I needed a septic inspection since I’m looking to purchase a house. I’ve never had a septic tank before so had tons of questions. Eric and Gil were awesome! They were patient as they were doing the work and answered every question in detail (and I had a lot of them) and in no way did they rush me. The only complaint I would probably have is that they were about 30 min late, but if they provide this type of excellent service for each customer, I can see why they might be a little late, but the wait was worth it. I have to add that these are some employees who show they really love the company they work for too… don’t see that too often…

My hot water heater problem fixed in record time!!!
We called Domco when Tom at Folsom Plumbing said our repair job was too big. There was a leak in the small cooper pipe outside of the hot water heater which we discovered when our garage was flooded from the small hole in the joint.
Domco gave me a same day appointment time between 12−2pm to give me an estimate.
Two guys showed up promptly at 12:00 sharp. 30 minutes later they had my problem fixed and we had hot water back on!
They did a great job cleaning up their work and were very professional.
It was a little expensive, but with plumbing you kind of get what you pay for. Having our hot water back on so FAST is worth every dime. Despite mixed Unilocal reviews, Domco had glowing reviews on Angie’s List AND a nice coupon which off set the expense.
Will definitely use them again — but let’s just hope we don’t need them anytime too soon!

My 2 year-​old water heater was leaking hot water from the overflow spout. I called Domco to repair it. I was at work, so my sister waited home for them. This guy shows up, and said that I needed to repair the pipe for $ 75, or get a new thermostat for $ 620. He recommended getting a new thermostat because if I just fixed the pipe, the problem would keep happening. She called me, and I approved it. I got home about 3 hours later. My garage was filled with gas fumes, and was now leaking into my house. My mother and children were in the house. I was scared to walk across the carpet. I was sure any spark would blow us to smithereens! I checked my water heater, and the gas was on with the pilot light out… and it was STILL LEAKING! I called Domco immediately, and they kept wanting to wait until tomorrow. I insisted they send someone immediately, and they relented. He did something with the overflow pipe, and the leak stopped. I asked him if I could have the check back for $ 620, and I would write him a check for $ 75. He told me the check was already cashed, and there was nothing he could do about it. I called Domco, and they pretty much repeated the same thing. I had to go to the BBB to settle this, and get my money back. I will never call Domco for anything ever again…

This seems to be a very well run company. Called at 9:00AM with a non-​emergency (replace toilet internals, filler valve etc.), exceptionally professional plumber arrived at 11:00AM and within an hour the job was completed. Very fair price, used on-​line coupon.

What happens when you try to do a project on the cheap and hire the «Master Plumbing Specialist» at your local Home Depot? You end up having to call a real plumber to fix everything the other guy did wrong.
This is where the fantastic guys at DOMCO Plumbing come into play in this tale. First it was a garbage disposal in my kitchen, then it was the waste lines in my remodeled bathroom, now its the facucets aren’t forward enough to the wall. Whats next? God I hope nothing.
The guys at DOMCO Plumbing have been super responsive and super gracious, being here within 90 minutes or making an appointment for anything ive needed and doing the work quickly, professionally, and cleanly at not a lot of money. The best part, they have helped me save my pride with the wife at home.
