I’m gonna totally disagree with«Jim h.»…i don’t know what he ate but myself and my bf had the best triple crown(steak, chicken bacon) cheese steak. and fattest turkey hoagie anyone could get at midnight… long story short… we went out for a bite after work… we were hungry… stop here cuz they were opened, and YES they have that«were in Philly order like this» etiquette sign… but it was all of 2 people ahead of us… and the two girls were ultra friendly… and even let us have some fries someone ordered… paid for… and forgot!!! the menu is super easy. you can call the stuff in. the rolls are extra fresh…(seeded if you like)…its pretty to the point. all i have to say is if this place had a cement parking lot with three levels i’d be filled up… and you don’t have to deal with those obnoxious geno/pats people… who are ultra serious about cheese and meat on bread in paper… and the«way its supposed to be!»… I’m gonna go back again… and you should join me!!! GET A MILKSHAKE… THENHAVE A STROKE… CUZYOUWILLDIE A HAPPYPERSON… ps…12 inch steaks and hoagies are standard… nothing on the menu more than 12 bucks…

Évaluation du lieu : 3 Folsom, PA
In my continuing quest to find the best food in my area, I landed on Frankies Steaks in Folsom. It is easily the flashiest steak shops around, as it was one of the first places that caught my eye on MacDade. I guess the problem with Frankies, is that they are going for the whole Pats/Genos motif and I guess this is only a problem for Unilocalers, who spent any time on the threads and have learned to hate those places and see them for what they are… tourist traps serving sub-par cheesesteaks. That said, I think its probably a good business plan for Frankie’s, to offer a taste of South Philly in the suburbs. Im sure they do well with it. One of the first things you notice, is the large sign, explaining how to order a cheesesteak, like the ones you would see at Joey Vento’s place. With all the talk of «being ready» and«get to the back of the line», im not sure if the sign was serious or for fun. Considering there were only 2 of us in the place at the time(it was early, around 11:30), getting to the back of the line wasnt really an issue. I see the sign just as getting part of the Pat/geno experience. I just got a regular cheesesteak, american, fried onions, salt/pepper and I feel like I ordered it well… I passed. The food was made quickly and the employees were friendly. I decided to take it out, rather than eat-in, although the décor there was cool and inviting. The steak was just OK. It wasnt bad and it wasnt spectacular. It doesnt beat Mike and Emmas steak, which Id had a week earlier. Im not sure Id go back for one, not because it was horrible, but there are better places and definitely more spots for me to try. I would, however, recommend Frankies to someone else, especially someone who likes Pats/Genos in the city. It would be a way of getting a taste of South Philly in the burbs and it also might be a good starting spot, for someone who has never been to either of those spots, and would like to try it without the trip. And really, its not truly the South Philly experience, unless you pick a fight with John S after he insults your beer choice…
