Haven Property Management

Allow me to preface this with the fact that we have lived at our current location for two and a half years, and as of January 2016, we will be with our third property management company. Haven properties was our property management company from November 2014 to December 2015, and we did not have one pleasant or simple experience. When you go to the company website, a man named Ed’s cell pops up automatically, but be warned! Heaven FORBID you call that number, because he is one rude and inconsiderate jerk who will condescend you and demand that you never call him again. My house had the windows shot out, which we almost abandoned our lease due to lack of safety, and it took them over two weeks to send a person out to fix it. They didn’t even call back to check on us. It’s not that I expected them to be our pals, but that was a fairly traumatic and damaging experience that occurred on a property they ‘manage’. We NEVER received a single call back from them. They called us once to tell us we were going to get evicted, and when we called back to confirm our location they realized they had the wrong tenants! Did they apologize? Hardly. That was an extremely frustrating and stressful mistake for them to make, and it essentially sums up our experiences the entire time they were our property management company. We left two emails and a voicemail in June 2015 asking for them to send an exterminator out to get rid of black widows in our patio and they never called back. I found it embarrassing and disgraceful that they lack the compassion and intelligence, not to mention the common courtesy required to simply call someone back, or actually FIX a problem in a property they manage! Good riddance.

Haven properties plan sucks. The owner is an ass with zero customer service skills. The houses they rent are falling apart and you can not get any repairs completed in less than a week unless you do them yourself. Stay away from this company they are crooks …

We moved in the middle of March two weeks before we wanted to, but we liked the place and wanted to make sure we got it, we were told others were interested too. For the first month we had to deal with repair men weekly coming in and out of our house, some wouldn’t even call before coming over. After moving in we discovered the pool and the fireplace (which were two big reasons we wanted the place) would never be in working condition. The fireplace we just decided to deal with, even though all we have is a wall heater to heat the whole home. But the pool was a long 3mth process of back and forth conversation of us being told by the property management it would be ready for summer and the repair man that came over telling us it would have to be completely rebuilt. After having a half way filled, dirty mosquito infested pool for about 2 ½ months it was decided the pool would not be fixed and we would just have to deal with a big empty pit in the backyard (the pool is very large and we were told 9 ft deep) and they were only willing to lower our rent $ 50 with no back pay to the last 3mth we have been living and never were able to use it. We feel very used and abused by the company. They rushed us into the house when there were still MANY repairs that should have been takin care of before we moved in. I recommend not doing business with this company I have been a renter for years and never had so many problems as I have with this company.

My husband and I have rented a house through Haven Property Management for almost six years. We found their management of this house to be courteous, professional and helpful, and dealing with them has consistently been a positive experience.
I want to especially commend Barb, who currently works at Haven as a Property Management Assistant. She is our «go-​to» person to contact when things need attention or repairs, and she has always gotten back to us quickly, and helped to get our requests processed in a timely fashion. Over the years we have needed a new dishwasher, both kitchen sink disposals replaced, some plumbing work, and various other household repairs, and Barb has always been a pleasure to work with. I feel that she genuinely cares about Haven’s renters, and works hard to ensure that we are happy with our rental home.
My family and I hope to rent through Haven again, and we recommend them as a property management company to other renters in the area.
