Little Folks University

After spending months researching a drop in facility, we found out on August 31 that our daycare was shutting down forever. I was in need of a place to watch my easy going 11 month old two days a week. I called and asked if I could come do a tour in 15 minutes. I’ve found that places that who let you tour at any time with no appointment are the cleanest since they have nothing to hide. I showed up and was toured through the infant room and 12 – 18 month room. I really like that the children are broken up by age appropriate groupings like infants, 12 – 18 months, 18 months to potty trained.
I love that there are family events almost monthly. My daughter got to «sing» (IE be held while the teachers sing) during Back to School Night. I brought my husband and parents to B2SN so they could meet my daughters teachers and see the campus. The teachers were very nice to us despite how crazy we must have looked. My brother wants to come to the Fall Festival this year. Next year when Rachel is old enough to go to the Pumpkin Patch she will no doubt have six family members as «volunteers».
I really like that the teachers verbally tell the parents about any upcoming events like Picture Day or the Christmas Pageant. Also the teachers really like their kiddos. All the teachers we see, even those who I know aren’t in my daughters level, know her name. As a teacher myself I should expect some level of professionalism, but I wouldn’t expect the staff to know my daughter’s likes and dislikes in two weeks when she only attends two days a week. Her teachers will even let me know if she is starting to get diaper rash… way before I generally notice.
To be honest the best part about sending my daughter to LFU is that she comes home happy and tired. When I drop her off she laughs! She knows the place is fun. I like that she is allowed to play outside, eat with her hands, and crawl around like a crazy baby.

Most reviews come from a parent, I for one am not. I hope one day to be one, and if I were, my child would go here. I’ve worked at a many preschools in Folsom. All of which I never felt like the owners or directors ever placed the children’s needs before the «price» of running their business. I have always been in search for the right fit to work somewhere. At LFU I have never felt more cared for, included, and loved by a group of women in my life. Bonnie goes above and beyond to make sure her staff and children are more then cared for. When teachers are treated wonderfully, they can’t help but to execute the upmost and perfect care for the children there with. I never have to feel guilty for asking for helping or needing supplies for the simplest things (which was consistent at every other place I worked at). Bonnie cares for this school because she wants to not because she has to. She provides services and resources for her staff that no other school provides to continue their education. She supports our needs and schedules for going to school to further our education, she makes sure we’re healthy and feeling great so we can be on our top game when coming to work (any other school would make you come in sick). She’s always redoing, repainting, re hanging, re cleaning something in the school to make it look perfect. For any parent out there looking for schools, I suggest when you tour you look at the staff. The staff will be an exact reflection of how that school is ran. When you walk into LFU, you see a staff that’s organized, happy, helpful, caring and most importantly, united!

My son has been attending Little Folks University since he was 6 weeks old. I have experienced nothing but the best care for my son. Each teacher has been kind, knowledgeable and he is always been in the best of care. He has been fortunate to have the same teachers for the last 5 years who have given him the skills he needs and prepared him well for the transition into Kindergarten. I have nothing but great things to say about this facility. The VAN driver that tranports my son took the time to speak to my son’s Kindergarten teacher when my family had a recent emergency that disrupted our lives a bit. This VAN driver took the time to soeak for me when I could not because she was so concerned about my son. The care and concern that the staff has shown over the years has been nothing less than excellent.

My daughter has attended LFU for the last 5 years, and my infant will be attending starting in February, once she is born. We were referred to Bonnie after a very unpleasant experience at a different facility. We love the family environment and how much everyone there really does care about the children. This is a top teir school and Folsom is lucky to have such an establishment!

My daughter (now 5 years old) attended Little Folks University for about 2 years prior to starting kindergarten and we couldn’t be happier with her experience there and how much she grew socially and academically! She is now a thriving kindergartner! The teachers are caring and awesome… every time my daughter sees one of her pre-​K teachers she’s just ecstatic! Bonnie is wonderful and always available to parents… she truly cares about the kids.

I’ve been blessed to have children at Little Folks University for the last five years. Our experiences have been amazing! The teachers are heart-​felt, dedicated, caring, and talented. In fact, my son learned int their Jr. Kinder program basically everything that will be done this year in Kindergarten. His new Kindergarten teacher said that he was amazingly over-​prepared for Kindergarten! Bonnie knows all the kids and families, respects their individual needs and differences, and somehow perfectly coordinates their amazing program. Summer school age camp is off the charts too! Pure awesomeness!

This is literally the best school ever! Miss Bonnie and all of the teachers genuinely care about your kid, and they are treated like family, and even if your child is not in that specific teachers class, they still know each and every child by name. Love it here! I highly recommend them! Also, they learn so much, our son just had his kindergarten evaluation after attending Little Folks, and his K teacher was very impressed by how much he knew. Couldn’t have done it without them! Thank you Little Folks!
