We have been doing business with Micah Hayhust at Sabbe & Associates for just over a year. I was hesitant to trust an insurance agent after a very poor and frustrating experience with a different agency. Since Micah was recommended to us, we gave him a chance. He has done an excellent job with managing our policies, searching high and low for the best deals for us, and pro-​active about our policy renewals. Our situation is complicated, and we are a small business. We have had difficulty getting other agents to pay much attention to us because we are so small and high risk. Terrible!!!
Does not return phone calls!!! Is rude when he FINALLY gets around to calling you back. After you called him several times no less. Not only that, but even after I appealed to him that he is my only hope for insurance, he leaves me hanging by telling me that he was going to «close my file» and leave me in the lurch when I asked for an apology for his lack of professionalism.
I needed insurance for my catering business. Fred Sabbe talked to me about it months ago and then dropped the ball. Never following up once to find out what i wanted to do or to let me know what my options were for buying insurance.
I called HIM to request that he put through my insurance so I could pay for it and finally have this handled. He did not return my many phone calls and emails.
I have an event that requires a Certificate of Insurance in less than 48 hours. I called several times and emailed, requesting that he call me ASAP to get this done. The whole reason why it was left up until the last minute is because of his negligence and his lack of professionalism in returning calls and following up on ME his CUSTOMER, IE. the person with the business and money).
When I asked Fred Sabbe what the problem was with communication, he spoke in a condescending way and told me that he did not have enough information. I sent him the info he needed and if he needed more he should have called me (back, I called and left a message as well as email twice!) tell me what I needed to send.
I would seriously think twice before doing business with this man. He can not get it together to even sell you insurance. What would one do if you ever needed to use it?
