Smog ‘N Go

Forgot I needed a smog and it was almost 5pm on Saturday and I was going out of town on Monday. I went to get my car washed and didn’t realize this place was right next store. Stopped in, got a smog that took less then 25 minutes, plus a $ 10 off coupon from their website and a car wash! Friendly staff and not a bad price for a smog. Will for sure go back and take my other vehicles here!

Easy to park and walk up, staff was helpful and welcoming. After using the $ 10 coupon, certificate and check came out to $ 58. Time was less than 30 min from getting out of the car to getting back in. Well done!

Definitely the place to go, always helpful and caring service! A clean work area is always a good sign too. This place is always looking good which shows you they care about what they do. If there is a wait, it’s never too long and the staff will always acknowledge you when you walk in.

Folsom shop– they get the job done but the woman behind the counter is insufferably RUDE. EVERY time I go in there. If it wasn’t geographically convenient. I would go elsewhere… just because of her (always the same lady — maybe she hates her job – or her life – she definatly hates her customers!) forced me to pay cash because she didn’t know how to use the credit card machine. I gave it more stars than deserves because the guys in back are nice and quick

I have been a customer of Smog ‘N go for years. They are knowledgeable, reliable, quick, courteous, inexpensive, and most importantly, they get the job done. Smog certifications are immediately transferred to the DMV electronically, so there is no wait time or worrying. You won’t find better customer service; their people are amazing. If you need a smog (and we all do :) look no further, Smog ‘N go is the right choice for you!

I always come to Smog ‘N Go because it’s so close to work that I can just stop in during my lunch. I’m rating it a 4 star because I’ve never had a bad experience here though it is a little bit pricey, ending up over $ 50 even with a $ 10 discount. But both my cars come here for smog and they’ve both passed with flying colors so it’s hard to complain. The guys working here seem to be pretty on top of things. The office/​waiting area feels kinda dingy but it really doesn’t matter since you won’t be there more than 15 or so minutes.

Great experience. The line was long enough that I was concerned about time. In the end, I was out of there in 25 minutes. 5 minutes faster than promised. Price is not the cheapest in town. HOWEVER, if you end up needing a re-​test for any reason, it’s free within 90 days. Price was about $ 10 higher than other shops in town. But if you need a re-​test, other shops will likely charge about $ 30 extra. Bottom line, the extra $ 10 is worth the investment if you have issues passing. I used the coupon through Unilocal for $ 10 off anyway. Win — win!

Very fast! I think I was there for about 15 minutes. Waiting room could use some TLC but I was not there long enough to care. As far as staff, the man behind the counter was friendly. I did not get to meet the lady with the glasses that is mentioned in other reviews as it was her day off!

I remembered at the last minute that I needed a smog certificate to re-​register my car. I had been to this smog-​n-​go before and it was great! In and out and they filed the dmv paperwork… What more can you ask for?
Of course we all go to Unilocal these days to check out a business, well upon reading the current reviews I was thinking the efficient service I received for a smog service a few years back may be a thing of the past.
But then I thought… it’s a smog test and certificate, what more do I need in customer service than to check in, pay, pass the test and outta there? Who cares if someone is cranky at my smog test/​cert place?
Well NO ONE CRANKY Yea! All good!!!
Check in with Edgar was a snap… Aaron and Derrick were cheerful, and helpful… Theses guys deserve their props.

Fast and friendly service. I will return. Location was not very good with the carwash in the same parking lot. It was really crowded. But the service was so fast and no wait! That’s what I love

Moved to CA and DMV requested smog check in order to transfer reg. I went on quiet week day afternoon and — i was in and out fast. I had no problems with lady at counter and found her to be helpful in explaining breakdown of price charged. i did not use any discount coupon.

Two stars simply because the older front desk lady with glasses needs a lot of help with her customer service skills. Very unfriendly and rude. When she gets overwhelmed, she takes it out on everyone waiting. She should try working somewhere where she doesn’t have to interact with people, like a morgue. This place will continue to get bad ratings if they don’t hire someone else.

Let me start off by saying the elderly lady with glasses was very rude to ALL of the customers. She must hate her job or her life because she didn’t have one pleasant conversation with any customer. There’s many bad reviews on her mainly because of her, I don’t know why this place doesn’t get rid of her. Her customer service is that of a 15 year old working at a Walmart.

Elderly lady with glasses was so unprofessional. Came to get a transfer of owner and yelled at my bf for doing it wrong. Lady its your job don’t like it go get a new one. To top it off … She made a «mistake» on our pink slip… Which was irrelevant to the dmv when we went. She doesn’t even know how to do her job and gives attitude. If you want no hassle and great customer service go somewhere else because you won’t find it here.

Fast service! Came here right before the lunch hour on a Wednesday hoping to beat the rush and I did! I was seen right away and it took about 20minutes. I like the fact that they also submit everything to the DMV got you. They also have a $ 10 check in coupon!

They were quick and efficient. The prices were decent. I just wish the receptionist stopped complaining.

Extremely friendly mom and pop family business was literally in and out in 20 minutes on a Monday morning. Love the $ 10 off internet coupon and the free WiFi. Waiting area is no frills so bring your own entertainment and beverage. They can even give you your tags and do your registration right there and save you from having to go to DMV or triple A. Being that I got the $ 10 off coupon I rounded it up and donated a couple bucks to the make-​a-​wish foundation love that they do that.

I would definitely recommend this place, not sure why people say that Bambi is rude or unfriendly unless it was a bad day. You get what you give!
