I recently signed up for a «free» credit report online at Trans Union. Beware. They somehow managed to sign me up for a monthly $ 17.95 «subscription.» When I cancelled it, they told me that they could not refund my money for the first month because I checked off a box that signed me up, but they would stop the subscription for future months. Of course, the charge showed up again the next month and I had to call them once again to cancel and then had to notify my charge card bank of the fraudulent charge.
This company is sneaky and I don’t know how it comes up as one of the three top «free» credit report companies. I would stay away from this one!
