Pizza was delicious! Great crust, sauce was zesty! Only wish they opened earlier, as I want to order it again right now!

The pizza is good enough that you tolerate the painfully slow service and unfriendly staff in the back. Be aware that there is no wait staff… you have to walk to the back to order your food but there’s no signage to let you know that LOL I guess they’ve been around so long they don’t have to try.

Absolutely love this place! The staff is friendly and the pizza is amazing. I’m not much of a beer drinker, so I always drink the root beer on tap and it’s great.

Stopped in for the first time in a very long time. Pizza was as good as I remember… strike that, it was actually better than I remember. We had a couple of beers, chatted with the bartender and closed the place down. Not sure why I stayed away so long.

The pizza is excellent. Perfect crust, lots of cheese. Fantastic sauce. Appetizers are frozen and pretty small in portion. Service can be hit or miss depending on what time you order. I always carry out to avoid this. What’s up with having to pay at the bar? You’re known in Fond du Lac for having great pizza, not for your bar. Set up a register. It’s pretty impractical to have to reach around people at the bar to pay while holding your pizza. If we’re rating JUST pizza I give it a five of five. If we’re rating everything together its a 3 of 5.

My wife and I went in on a Sunday evening a few months back and were«greeted» by an incompetent and rude bartender. We were so taken aback by the bartenders demeanor that we promptly walked out and went to Ala Romas instead, where we received outstanding service and fantastic pizza. We’ve ordered Joe’s for take out in the past and the pizza is solid, nothing spectacular. The locals hype it up but quite frankly you can wave a shiny object in front of most of them and they become mesmerized. Like most pizza spots in the valley its overrated by the locals because they dont know what good pizza tastes like. With the pizza not being anything special and the service being terrible(not to mention the place is a dump), I would recommend going to one of the other pizza places in FDL as you will get superior service anywhere else. My wife and I will not be going back or ordering takeout from them again, ever.

Best pizza I’ve found in Wisconsin. I normally prefer a light airy crust with a sweet Sicilian sauce, & this is pretty much as close as you can get in wisconsin

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful thin crust pizza and fun bartenders! Nick will tell you everything about rock and roll! If you’ve never been there it’s more of a self serve type place. Order at the back if bartender is busy and pick up your own drinks at the bar. Makes for a fun and interesting bar/pizza joint experience!

Ever since I was little I have loved going to Joe’s Fox Hut with my grandparents. Even though I have moved to Arizona I still return to Joe’s whenever I’m in Fond du Lac! I love their sauce and their pizzas are amazing. It’s a quaint little joint with a traditional bar, a few arcade games, and a lot of families! You can go in and eat or take one out. It can get a little cramped, but I don’t mind. I love the atmosphere and every time I’ve been there I’ve enjoyed delicious pizza with my family. I have some of the best memories there. I even own a baseball cap with their name on it and Arizonans ask me all the time what a «Fox Hut» is! A must-see-and-eat in Fond du Lac!

A must have when visiting the FDL area. You don’t realize the gem it is unless you have moved away… those residing in FDL take it for granted. Dine in or delivery… Good stuff when traveling back!

I don’t see what the big deal is. The crust tastes like a saltine cracker, the mushrooms seem like they come from a can, the green peppers were more like gray peppers, the cheese tastes like cooked milk. Bland, bland, bland. It seems like Wisconsinites will speak highly of anything so long as it has at least an inch of cheese on it, mistaking quantity for quality. Then again if you are in Fond Du Lac this is probably as good as it’s going to get. Because there isn’t much of anything there.

I live in Chicago, but my BF is from Fond du Lac and he would RAVE about Joe’s to me. So of course, when we found ourselves there for Christmas, we called in a pick-up order. They are currently remodeling, so you won’t get the full ‘Joe’s’ experience right now(hence the pick-up order). Large sausage, crispy. Whoa. I’m hooked. I’ve considered renting a car for a day, just to drive up for a repeat performance. It’s worth it!

Great pizza. Even living in Chicago, a city with some great pizza of it’s own, I find myself craving a Joe’s Fox Hut pizza once in awhile. Now, some of the toppings aren’t great, I really can’t stand their green peppers and the mushrooms seem off(are they canned?), but the cheese, sauce, crust, and sausage are just great. The sauce has a bit of a kick to it and mixed with the cheese just makes a flavorful combination with a good balance.

Heard this was the best pizza in the world! Let alone FDL — my rating a B to B+. Nice size pie. Cracker type crust. Thick cheese n good fixings. Good pizza but not worlds greatest. Have ordered a number of times via room service at hotel. Trucks have heater ovens so stays nice n hot. A good go-to pizza place. By far best in the FDL area I’ve tried. Prices are very reasonable too!

Now that Wisconsin is smoke free I am upgrading Joe’s Fox Hut to 5 stars. This is not the 5 stars like you would see in a formal newspaper or magazine review — this is 5 stars because it is fantastic dive bar food. Went there Friday night and had the deep fried perch and a pizza. Fish was served very hot with a nice crunchy exterior and moist flaky fish. Pizza — OMG the best thin crust west of NYC.

Each time I visit Wisconsin, I need to come to this place. The pizza is quite tasty… thin crust, slighty spicy sauce, yummy Wisconsin CHEESE. They deliver, but they also have a sit-down restaurant in a back room behind the bar.(By sit-down, I only mean you can sit down while you eat your food.) You need to order your food at the back counter and they’ll bring it to you. Pay your check at the bar on the way out the door.
