I visit this place every time I’m in Fond du Lac and I love it! Kyle is our favorite bartender, although they are all great. We enjoy the huge array of craft beers, and Kyle always lets us know what’s new and unique. It does get pretty busy on a Saturday night, but nothing unbearable. We love to have a couple beers and play darts while we are there. We also enjoy playing shake-a-day and generally just chatting with the bartenders. The décor is quirky and fun and I always have a good time! Be on the lookout for craft beer gems such as 2014 Bourbon County Stout, which I was able to drink last time I was in town.

I have spent many a long night at this wonderful den of debauchery. The men’s toilet is exceptionally clean, and perfect for post work Browns! If you enjoy Jeopardy, you’ll always find a few fellas down there, yelling at the screens.(very amusing)
There is a third floor dance floor, that houses many a lady on the weekends. More than 100 beers are available, and great weekly specials. I plan on drinking there tonight, as it is the 9 year anniversary of its opening. Fourty-six stars out of fourty-seven!
They lose only one star for not serving deep fried shrimp!

Slim and Chubby’s is very much a «townie» bar, and I certainly don’t mean that as a dig. They are usually very fun places to hang out for an out-of-towner like me. There is tons, literally TONS, of gitchy stuff on the walls to take your attention away from the plentiful flat-panel TVs. They also have some poles that go from bar to ceiling for… ahem…dancing.
We went early in the evening during the week, so the place was pretty much empty. It didn’t bother me though because the bartender was friendly and talkative and offered to play whatever music/TV shows we wanted. The beer selection was decent (Magic Hat #9 on tap) and pretty cheap ($ 2 for a Coors Light pint, $ 3 for MH #9).
I’d like to go back when it’s more crowded to see what the vibe is like, but overall it seems like a decent place.
