Came for a quick lunck and wasn’t disappointed. The place is clean and a freindly staff. Would recommend for a quick bite to eat.

Delicious bar food, great service, chill atmosphere. You have to order at the bar but that was not a problem because they were so attentive. Great bar food, had burgers, sandwiches, fries, and free popcorn!

Good food. Cajun chicken sandwich was good as well as my rum-n-coke !! I’ll definitely come again !! FYI if you dine in… you have to go to the bar and order your food and drinks.

Chucks is by far my favorite bar and burger spot in Lake Geneva. Having grown up at the lake, nothing feels more«authentic Lake Geneva» than a burger & a beer at chucks on a warm summer night.

Great place for a beer on tap. Noisy inside but step out the door and you have the whole lake to enjoy that will calm you down.

Came here with a large group of adults and kids. Our tab was not tallied correctly and we were significantly overcharged! Also, they charge $ 4 per soft drink, and $ 4 per refill. Definitely would have been good to know before we ordered our refills! It’s really a shame because we always visit Chuck’s whenever we’re in Fontana, but this time we all left feeling like we’d been swindled.

Large mixed group of customers, busy staff and decent food items to order. We just enjoyed the vibe, on tap beer selection, and well kept bar. My dad loved the separate tv area for sports watching.

Great hole in the wall bar. It has outdoor seating. The food is normal bar food. Drinks are very reasonable. This is your classic end the night bar. You’ll probably see a few people who are way too drunk and it’s going to be uncomfortably crowded but you go every time you’re in Fontana because it’s always a good time.

Ate there for lunch on a Sunday. We were tired so we wanted to sit and rest. Then we found out you had to go to the bar and order your food. Hummmmmm, not what we expected. Food was good but if you wanted something else a refill, burger not done enough etc … Back to the bar you go. Nice location, good view, food was ok. If you don’t mind their system you may like it. Personally I can wait on myself at home, when I go out I like to be served. And for the money, it was not inexpensive and aka cart, we should have been served!

Good food BUT you have to order your own food and drink at the bar. Need a refill? Gotta go to the bar yourself. Is the food and atmosphere worth it? Only with a group of friends but not when you have a larger family group with kids. Soggies with cheese are the best!!!

5 stars for a fast service, very good quality food and a very pleasant atmosphere. Bloody mary was so delicious, sauteed salmon sandwich was juicy and flavorful. Will be back here next summer for sure!

Awful service. Can’t even review the food since we didn’t get a chance to eat. Showed up on a Wednesday evening, sat at a table and no one spoke to us. There were a handful of people at the bar and one other group at a table. One worker came to the table areas a few times to clean up but never said anything to us. We were very anxious to try it out. Then again, they had a sign up that said loud and inappropriate behavior from kids wouldn’t be tolerated. Interesting for such a sign to be located in a tavern of drunk adults. On our way out, one of the bar patron’s golden retriever ran into the building. Really great to allow a dog into your restaurant, but not acknowledge the guests there trying to eat. Went next door to Gordys and had a stellar experience.

Chuck’s makes me happy! Every time we stop in it reminds me of the fun I’d had over my summers in Fontana. The people, sounds and smells bring back such great memories! It’s one of my favorite bars on or around the lake as it has everything you need for a nice summer night, decent food, good beer selection, view of the lake and nice people! Good place to people watch on the weekends. I highly recommend their burgers.

I came here with a bunch of girls for my friend’s bachelorette party. Unfortunately, it was monsooning outside, so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor space. It was also the night of a Hawks finals game, and I was shocked ot walk in and see almost everyone sporting Hawks gear. Local dive or bar all the Chicago folks visiting LG go to? Hard to say. There wasn’t a drink menu that I could see, so I just ordered something I was sure they’d have — Spotted Cow. Always a treat when in WI. Other girls had vodka lemonades, rum and cokes, and other beers as well. Prices were very reasonable. There were TVs throughout the bar, so we all got to watch the game. It was actually really fun being in a «Hawks» bar not in Chicago. No waiterstaff comes by, so when you want a drink, you have to get up and get it from the bar yourself. No biggie. Busboys do come and quickly take away empty glasses, which is a plus. The bar cleared out a ton after the game ended. We had no trouble finding seats. Oh, and the bar sent us over shots to help celebrate the bride-to-be. Nice touch! I’ll have to go back and try the food based on the other reviews. Preferably, when it’s nice outside.

Chuck’s is everything you would expect in a Wisconsin bar: on the water, great burgers, tons of booze, a pool table, a juke box, boat parking, and tons of booze. Did I mention that already? Probably one of the better Bloody Mary’s I have ever had. My guess is a vast majority of their business is over the summer, which is a shame. Chuck’s is an awesome place to be on a football Saturday in the fall. The leaves are falling and the bar is generally not crowded. You get to pony up to the bar and watch a 10am Big Tenleventwelve game with a Bloody. Heaven on Earth. 196⁄365

We also ordered bloody marys & the Unilocalers are spot on. A bit spicy with a nice mini miller lite chaser. Burgers are very good but what we liked even better is the turkey bacon BLT. Bread was toasted perfectly & just the right amount of everything else. We’ve been to Chuck’s 3 or 4 times now and have yet to have a bad experience. Yes, it’s a pain to go inside to order but we’ve always found staff available after the food was delivered to ensure we had everything we needed. Culture is definitely more laid back. Food comes out in a reasonable amount of time but servers are definitely not hovering or checking on you every few minutes. If you’re not in a rush, you’re fine. PS: The Sweet Tart is good as well and can sneak up on you if you’re not careful

Totally a cute spot in Fontana… right on the water and the service is really chill and laid back. Great view of the lake and the crowd definitely seems cool. The only set backs for myself was that you have to order your own food and drink at the bar, but then they bring out your food. Just find it odd to have a real restaurant but no real servers/waiters. Then, everything is Ala carte — fries, chips, etc. And they are kind of expensive in my opinion, but that’s typical of the area. My cajun chicken sandwich, however, was pretty freaking good. Really juicy without an overabundance of mayo on it. PS: If you are doing the whole 21-mile walk in Lake Geneva, this is the middle point and its great to come here to grab some grub for nourishment :)
