My first 2016 Unilocal of the year goes to… Henry Nguyen Optometry up in Fontana!
I’m all about businesses that truly puts a lot of love and attention towards their customers and I truly felt that way when I walked in at Henry Nguyen Optometry.
The two people that really stood out in my mind was both Dr. Chau and the manager Allen. Dr. Chau was such a kind, sweet optometrist who was able to answer all my questions regarding my eyes and if they were doing fine. I’m the type of person who doesn’t get their eyes checked every year knowing that my eyes haven’t changed much. However, she did check my eyes and realized that I have been wearing my contacts for too long, which helps me understand why my left eye has been hurting a little more than usual.
Allen on the other hand has such a relaxed, kind and welcoming personality. He too was able to help me out by choosing specific frames for lenses that I already had. Originally they were fine until I realized they didn’t fit my face so I came in asking if I could return the frames and get a totally different style. He hooked it up and more. I’m forever thankful for that.
The only downside is that I wish they had more lenses to choose from but other than that, this is a great place to get your eyes checked, to get your contacts, frames, and more.
Also, if I recall correctly, your first pair of contacts is free and they also take IHAP. I didn’t have my card at the time but when I walked in for my check up, I overheard that they’ll take it. So don’t be like me and forget your card.
My experience with these two individuals made my visit worth it. Definitely recommend this place.

My third visit here. My first to have my son’s eye exam. The selection for my tween son eye glasses are limited. Nonetheless he found one that suits him. Allan helped us with the fitting and ordering the glasses. A few of the staff besides Allan kinda seem overly occupied and not as friendly. Thanks Allan for a great service.
